Just took over an apt complex and it needed MAJOR tree trimming and removal. WOW! this place was horrible. When they came in, yes it was loud, but all my residents said it started to look better. A fresher look my complex definitely needed. They respected my residents that weren't prepared for the noise. Some sleeping in, and others working from home. They did damage a fence just a little which upset my resident, but they were professional about it and took the responsibility and came back out to fix it. Mistakes happen, and I like that this company owns up to theirs. I've worked with other vendors that say "it was already like that". I will be continuing to use them as needed! read more

I have a rental property that had 3 very large out of control ficus trees, destroying the sidewalks, driveway and yard. I called Arbor West to give me an estimate to remove them and possibly grind the stumps. The owner of the company, Gene met me to give the estimate. He asked me what I was trying to achive, after talking a bit he suggested not only taking the trees and stumps, but removing all of the over grown ivy and out of control asparagus fern, trimming back my neighbors over grown bushes and removing another stump I had. Then he gave me his estimate. Wow! It was way less than I thought it would be! The work was scheduled and completed within a week. I should have called these guys years ago. Today I met with Gene again to discus placing some rock where the Ivy was. We talked and he told me what he would do with my yard. More great ideas! A block wall, rock and low maintenance succulents attached to my existing drip system at a very reasonable price I love this guy! A top notch company, I highly recommend them! I have used Arbor West Tree Surgeons 3 times. The last was December 2020.I had them trim back my 20 ft. carob tree. It had some branches that had yellow leaves, so I ask the guy who looked in charge if the tree looked healthy. He said, yes, it was healthy, some yellow leaves were normal. Last Thursday, SDG&E came to cut back a couple of branches left near the electrical box. They told us the tree was full of termites and was too far gone to be saved. I called Arbor West that day to ask how the tree could go from 'being healthy" to " too far gone to be saved". The person who answered the phone said she would have her supervisor call me back. Joe called me back in 10 minutes. I explained the situation. He said he will come to my house the next day to check it out. He did not come or call the next day. I called them later that day. Was told he could not make it that day, but would be there the next day between 9-10. He did not show up or call. I will never use Arbor West again. I had a different arborist come today & was told the tree should be cut down. I cant' understand how Arbor West was not aware of the termite issue while they were up trimming the tree for 3 hours, at a cost of $795.00! read more

Great company in the beginning. Have had great service for 5-6 years. Had 2 ficus trees trimmed in April. After 3 months in July, our landscaper pointed out it appears the trees had never been laced at all. We called and spoke to Susan 2-3 x and she said she would have Steve go out and look at the problem. Also emailed with no response. We are extremely disappointed with the poor customer service and we are out $600.It seemed every time we called, we felt like we were getting the brush off but gave them adequate opportunity to rectify the problem. So why tell a customer you will take of the issue and never get back? Why have an email and never respond? Now I have to find a new tree trimmer who wants my business. We were good customers, paid timely and due to lack of any response, I have no trust in this company and feel totally disrespected. read more

Some companies are known for having great customer service and treating you with respect. This company definetly is not one of them. They made a mistake by chopping tree stumps next to 4 cars (within 3 ft) and then said they would "absolutely not" wash our cars. Their staff is unprofessional and the customer service was poor. If you want someone that values service and takes pride in a job done well dont call them. read more

I can't attest to the quality of work regarding the tree services but the customer service provided by the front desk manager/receptionist was pretty awful. The woman was unusually curt to the point of rudeness and not easy to work with. They should consider training their employees about phone courtesy and how to talk to people if they want to stay in business. read more

We had a great experience with ArborWest! Steve came over and gave us a quote and we knew immediately we would be working with this company. He was on time and personable, as were the crew that arrived to do the job the following week. Our job was a huge eucalyptus tree that we needed topped. We were impressed by their efficiency and professionalism. They did a terrific job cleaning up too. I would highly recommend this company for any tree service and I know we will be using them again.
