Look no further! I highly recommend with no reservations! One of my neighbors highly recommended and referred me to this team because they are arborists who are knowledgeable and efficient. I contacted them via email but on their website they said to call for quicker results. So I called and they were able to schedule an appointment with me. (They offered me two choices- 1) to come do estimate and assessment only or 2) come and do the work the day I schedule them. ) I chose the first option so I could hear their assessment of the three fruit trees (lemon, plum, and guava) we had in our garden. He came out and assessed. I was very impressed with his knowledge and experience. We scheduled the work to be done the next morning at 7 am. ! He came with his team and were able to trim and prune both the plum and lemon trees, and removed the guava tree which was old, not bearing fruit, was leaning over into our fence, and I was already debating to chop it down to a stump. (The day of the assessment, he inspected the guava tree and said if we just chopped it down, the roots would continue to sprout out more trees --similar to redwood trees and sequoias--and showed me the newly sprouting trees coming out. Yikes! He said in order to get rid of it, we need to remove the roots completely.) We decided to move forward with removing the entire guava tree. Everything they did, they did a fantastic job! Very pleased with their service. I had them come out to first quote the cost to trim huge eucalyptus trees encroaching on my property. Scheduled the appointment 2 weeks out and prior to them coming out we both verified what branches they will cutting down. I worked with Karla from scheduling, verifying and payment. It really pains me to write this review because I really wanted to support Higuera Tree Care (I believe in supporting Hispanic-owned family businesses). I originally requested bids from two companies, Higuera Tree Care and Robin Hilton Land & Tree Company. The work involved trimming 5 queens palm trees, removing an extra large birds of paradise and removing an elephant bush. Higuera Tree Care quoted me $1385 for this work and Robin Hilton quoted $1,300. I decided to go with Higuera despite the higher costs for the reason I mentioned above. The first thing to note is that when Robin Hilton sent me their quote, they noted that removing the Birds of Paradise would likely damage the irrigation system running through that area and that their quote included repairing the system. I then sent Higuera Tree Care an email asking if their quote included this and they never responded to my email. I let this slide and hoped for the best once they actually came to do the job. But the more concerning issue is that with the high winds and rain that happened a few days ago, one of the queen palm trees in my front yard essentially broke in half. I've had two professionals come out and take a look at it and they said that the issue was that whoever trimmed the tree last time trimmed it too much and in the wrong way. It is impossible, of course, for me to definitively state that this was the result of the poor job done by Higuera Tree Care, but it's worth considering that the palm tree had been there for over a decade withstanding similar wind and rain in the past. And, again, two separate professionals I brought out placed the blame squarely on the trim job done by Higuera Tree Care. So I basically ended up paying more for a job that didn't involve repairing the irrigation system and in all likelihood ended up costing me one entire palm tree that I now have to remove because it probably won't grow back. read more

We have a number of tasks that need completing so I wanted to test Higuera Tree Care capabilities on our bamboo before committing to more expensive work. Our bamboo needed a trim and clean up so we gave Higuera Tree Care the job after receiving several estimates. While the customer service (scheduling/payment) was on point, the actual work carried out was generally sloppy and I don't believe either of the workers had worked with Bamboo before. My primary issues is that a substantial amount of the waste was not taken away (their truck was too small), that a lot of old leaves were left inside the bottom of the bamboo (I had to ask them to remove it but they still didn't) meaning it appeared messy still, and that care was not taken to protect those bamboo stalks that were not targeted for removal. Many of the stalks we want to keep now have cuts from their chainsaws. You can see in the pictures how rough they left it and the waste they left behind. I think the guys were eager to move onto the next job instead of slowing down a little, taking care and completing a "proper job". Given we hired for them to clean and tidy the bamboo and I had to spend a few hours the next day cleaning up after them and finishing the job we paid for I just can't recommend them. read more

I've used Higuera Tree Care exclusively for our tree care. We have had a huge amount of Pencil tree (Euphorbia tirucalli) removed (never plant this stuff). We've sadly had a bunch of trees die due to a fungus, so they removed the tree and stump. We have some tall palm trees that we like to keep neat. He's basically a mountain climber sculpting with a chainsaw 2-5 stories up. We also had a palm stump removed 4' deep to make way for a foundation pour. Lots of brush and cactus also removed. Hernan is very easy to work with, quotes on the spot, and his crew attacks the work like a mob. They have done in a few hours some tasks that would otherwise take months on my own (if I could even do it), and would keep my green cans full indefinitely. They are probably more expensive than others, but getting the job done fast, and professionally is well worth it to me. If I ever had concerns about the outcome (I have not), I'm certain he would be on top of it right away. Hernan is not always on-site when the work is being done, so I would call him. side note: there are three Higuera tree companies listed, so confirming the one I'm looking for on Yelp is a chore.
