I LOVE gift shops, especially cute ones. Many interesting items to choose from. If you are looking for a souvenir after spending the day at the Arboretum, this is the place to purchase it. Came to the Arboretum to see Lightscape, so I wanted to purchase a magnet to remind me of the beautiful evening that we spent. They had magnets, but unfortunately none that had anything to do with Lightscape. So, I thought I would purchase a cute magnet reminding me that I came to the Arboretum 2021... I didn't like any of the magnets that they had. I liked the stuff that they did sell... but I REALLY wanted a magnet. So, if you are looking for a particular magnet, you might be out of luck.

Am gaga over this charming gift shop at the Arboretum. The masterminds behind the merchandising and overall decor within the space do an amazing job. The building is older, with soaring angled ceilings. That could be considered a design challenge, but they've made the space more intimate by suspending a canoe upside down from the ceiling. Antique windows also hang down and define areas with vintage charm. Sadly, for Yelpers, they don't want photos taken in the shop. I have some from before the ban that I can hopefully find to post. Merchandise varies from snacks to home decor accents to many peacock themed items, as their signature logo. Always happy for a repeat visit to this eclectic gift shop.

Cute quaint gift shop. Located right in front of arboretum. Lots of cool little finds. From jewelry to lotions to soaps to figures. All very cute for your garden. Love their peacock stationery and figurines. Definitely will come back for more items. Right now only Fall items are displayed.

The Arboretum gift shop is located near the entrance of the park. The items in the store were cute but very overpriced. There were holiday items, plants, candles , lotions, clothing, plates, cups , bowls, snacks, drinks , toys, stuffed animals , and LA Arboretum memorabilia. I did not see anything I just had to have at the prices offered. My rating is low due to the poor customer service at this store. The customer service was lacking and somewhat unprofessional . I was not greeted when I entered the store, what ever that part was ok. The store workers and other Arboretum workers were huddled around the checkout counter gossiping. I wasn't trying to listen but , it is a small store.....they were talking bad about a docent. One of them complained and said that she had a headache. The other offered her Tylenol , joking that she was her " drug dealer". What if a young child had seen that exchange? Ok maybe I'm being too sensitive. But, what really got under my skin was a customer went out an exit and then came back In stating that she was confused and looking for the cafe. The person behind the desk pointed to the other door and told her to go left. The lady nodded and then exited and went left. The employees laughed and commented how stupid she was because they specifically said left. I think English was a second language for this older lady and maybe she got confused. That does not give the employees the right to laugh at her. One of the employees should have offered to guided her there not just point. After hearing all this , I was uncomfortable by their behavior and left the store.

I know this location only opened like 1-2 months ago…read more This is only a comparison to the one in the Santa Anita Mall in Arcadia. The selection is a lot bigger. The books in the front are more with pop culture and famous books that maybe considered for the "coffee table" books. Also in the front , are the stationary items, cute Knick-knacks and some blind boxes. The Japanese light novels & manga section was larger vs the Arcadia location. Plus there was surplus amount of certain mangas that are currently popular to ensure enough is in stock. In general, I find these books very decently priced. I have , in the past, asked them for a particular book if they have in stock, they'll check to see if they have it or not or will direct me to where it is in the store.

They always have a ton of pens imported from Japan and they even have the little sticker tag on the pen itself in Japanese. Huge fan of the Uniball Zento Pens as I draw from time to time. I know it's great to support local stores, but I do wish they were a bit more competitive with pricing, if a book is only 10% more expensive here and I'm in the area, sure I'll buy it at Kinokuniya, but when the same exact book brand new is 40% cheaper on Amazon, I can't justify the purchase. It would be cool if membership allowed for price matching. Overall, this is probably the best Japanese book/manga shop you can find aside from the Book Off in Gardena.

This cue little boutique specializes in gourmet food and gift items that you typically don't see everywhere else. I came here last Friday for a special shopping event to support Pasadena Humane. The owner Maddie Romo graciously donated 10% of the evenings sales to PH. We were treated to wine while we shopped and nibbles of some of the store's specialty gourmet products. This place is adorable! They carry a wide assortment of goods - clothing, soaps, books, jewelry, cooking supplies, kitchenware, barware, trinkets.... There is something for everyone here. While browsing through all their wonderful selections I was thrilled when I came across Southern Belle Jalapeño Cranberry Sauce & Jumpin' Jack BBQ Sauce. My friend makes them, so I had to take a picture to send to her. There were so many cute things in the store that I wanted for myself. It was hard for me to maintain self-control and just stick to my holiday shopping list. Maddie was so delightful as was the other gal that worked there. They were both friendly, cheerful, and helpful. Next time I need a unique gift or want to treat myself to something fun I'll be coming here. Tip: There are a number of cool shops and restaurants in the area so make a day out of it and explore. There is free street parking and in a lot behind the shops.

Overall, I enjoyed visiting this store. I recommend you visit.

The jewelry is handcrafted, and many pieces include the artist's name and a short bio, which adds such a personal touch. They also carry candles, bags, greeting cards, and products for men, women, and children. The variety is impressive, and I especially appreciated the large selection of handcrafted items. The associates are friendly, welcoming, and genuine. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, and I noticed they recognized and acknowledged repeat customers. That's impressive, especially considering the number of tourists who visit the store. Another thing I appreciated is that they don't overwhelm you with emails. Their emails are event-focused and purposeful, which is refreshing. You're paying for quality, craftsmanship, and unique items you won't find just anywhere. The prices reflect the specialty merchandise they carry and the care that goes into selecting it. Parking... well, it's Pasadena! It can be challenging, with mostly metered street parking and paid parking garages nearby, but it's a pleasant walk to the store. I highly recommend Homage! It's a wonderful place to find unique gifts or treat yourself to something special.
