A whimsical little gift shop! I love getting my friends gift from Millie, the owner. Cute stuff. Love the make up bags!

Sweet and helpful owner. Store has so many cute trinkets and so many miffy items. They have a lot of blind boxes and plushies. Come to this store to peruse around and support local businesses.

Petite Pebbles is a cute little store in the Burlington Arcade. Like most of the places there it is very small and very niche. The store features a collection of, primarily, Japanese merchandise. It has a large collection of toys and stickers from various Studio Ghibli films like My Neighbor Totoro. Very cute. Petite Pebbles also carries a number of J-Beauty products which I am, sadly, mostly unfamiliar with, However when it came to the writing and stationary I really had a couple finds. The best for me was a collection of pens in a color scheme related to Japanese foods like Azuki Beans and Matcha. The young woman running the store was very kind and personable, Definitely worth a look.

I love small business boutiques like this! This store might be small but it is definitely mighty! They have such unique toys and fun products to look/play with. The Sanrio, Sonny Angels, and other blind boxes is what got my attention. However, my favorite part of my entire experience was getting to know Millie, the owner of Petite Pebbles, and her lovely little daughter. My experience here was 10/10. I will absolutely be back to buy all my gifts here! Along with items for myself:) Thank you again for my bag and my Cabybara!

I love this cute store! Not only does this shop have tons of unique kids stuff but the owner was so welcoming and helpful for choosing my 4 year old niece's birthday/Christmas gift! We got a small mystery box and super cute knitted cardigan for her. Hope she likes it! Highly recommended for shopping for your child or getting their friends gifts.

    T-Rex Topple, cute gift!

Very cute shop that I would say has premium Asian goods and gifts for the most part. Very cute bubbly sales associate who was on her first shift, helped tremendously and did great. Across from Mandarin, so if there is a long line as usual, it's worth stopping by inside as someone holds your spot for you. :D

All the toys with affordable price for either boys and girls!

Need a gift for kid's birthday party? Want something different than local chain stores? Or your little princess need a new princess dress with affordable and reasonable price? Thai is the place!

Despite this shop's relatively small size, it is packed with goodies. My go-to is always the card section, where I invariably find a card for an upcoming birthday or, even better, the perfect card for a friend who could use a pick-me-up or a good laugh. My stationary drawer is packed with Retreat cards that I've got on the ready and I am very grateful. There is a great range of options in terms of price. You can find very fun patches and charms for around ten dollars. If you are looking a bit higher-end, there is a lovely collection of jewelry: but you are definitely paying for quality work that will be appreciated. Diane and the various employees are invariably friendly and eager to help you find something perfect for your friend or family.

I am incredibly disappointed by my first and absolute last visit to The Retreat in South Pasadena…read more I came in hoping to shop for a gift for a friend, but instead, my 3-year-old daughter and I were met with constant hovering and blatant hostility from the employee working, an older woman with short blonde hair. From the moment we walked in, this staff member repeatedly told my daughter not to touch anything. I tried my best to remain very polite and exercised an immense amount of patience, pushing it to the absolute limit just to shop in peace. The breaking point was right as we were about to leave, when my daughter picked up an animal finger puppet. The employee condescendingly lectured my toddler, telling her she shouldn't touch anything, and publicly shamed her by saying she had "very sticky fingers and nails and hands" and demanding, "Look at your hands." At that point, my patience ran out. I told her directly that she was being incredibly rude and that this would be the absolute last time I would ever visit that store. To speak to a 3-year-old child that way is unprofessional and unacceptable. A business that treats families with such open disrespect does not deserve our community's support. It was my first time entering this shop, and it will safely be my last. Save your money and shop somewhere that understands basic customer service and human decency.

Here you can find a wide variety of hand-crafted goods. And there is quite a myriad of objects on display. And there's a very large collection of pottery, including bowls, dishes and coffee mugs. This place is an excellent place to shop for those who are intrigued by foreign cultures. And the prices are extremely reasonable. And besides for being reasonable, you can find nice pieces in the under ten dollar range, well into the one hundred and fifty or more. There really is something for any budget. I was greeted when I entered the store and asked if I needed help...but was not asked every five minutes (something that I see as a major plus). I didn't intend to buy so much, but I found something for each member of my family and a few friends, too. My favorites were the ornaments, children's area, kitchen items (aprons, dish towels) and the beautiful jewelry!! I had so much fun browsing and I am thrilled with my purchases. Thank you, Laurel! You are running a fab shop here in Pasadena and I can't wait to return!

Most of the toys are for kids just a bit older, so her choices were somewhat limited. They do have a decent number of dinosaur toys, figurines, and accessories, as you might expect from the name "The Dinosaur Farm." However, they offer a wide range of toys, everything from lava lamps to play dough. There's a decent amount of plush animals and educational toys as well. 30 YEARS OF BUSINESS IN PASADENA AND NOT EXTINCT!…read more I was one of those dinosaur kids growing up and I know I would have loved this place if I visited as a kid. Heck, learning of its existence, I love it even now as an adult. Everything is very dinosaur themed and very geared towards both children and the community. They have events that support the community too such as book readings and much more. Make sure to join their email list before checking out. I love that they also have cute dinosaur themed gift wrapping paper too. I think a neat touch that they have is all the dinosaur art that they have on the walls as well as the cute dinosaur trinkets and toys that they have all around. I love the variety of little plastic dinosaur figurines that they have. Probably the most diversity of species that I have seen and in the most sizes too. Some which I have never even heard of, so much more than the stereotypical T-rex and Triceratops that you can find anywhere else. Also, fear not, there are toys and other goods for the other children in your family/party who may not be as dinosaur inclined if that is your worry. I got a really neat Dinosaur Farm t-shirt there (they come in blue and green) and a little figure for my desk. It def more of a toy store geared towards children than a super educational museum store towards geeky adults, but that's fine with me too! As a dino enjoyer, I support all ventures into the prehistoric practice!
