Butchered my trees. One tree is cut it lopsided and, I swear, they cut the tree for my neighbor's view and not for me. My neighbors now have full view of my backyard and into my house. This tree was so beautiful, so green, a great shade tree with a bench underneath. Now is is hacked so bad it looks ratty. A total hack job. 4 other trees were hacked so bad that some of the branches fell after they left. No shaping, no pride in their work. Everybody seeing the job on my main tree said it's the worse job they have ever seen. One person said, "Well, they didn't bring the A team, they brought their F team. F to you is what it looks like. Don't pay. Take them to court." Ugh! Update: 9/10/21 After the 1-star review we got together and the company reshaped the 4 trees and made an effort to correct what they could, so I'm giving them 3 stars. The other tree will take over a year of growth to be able to be reshaped. read more

Best quote I got and they always showed up on time, communicated well, and did a fantastic job. Bad experience... was given a bid by one person and was told by the another person "I can't make any money off this job." Really! Wait, I'm the customer here. Afterwards, he looked at me, took the bid, and said he would call back. Still waiting on the call. It's been about 2 months. Removing some trees was the only work this group did for me. They called me late on Friday and said the would be at my home first thing in the morning. Had to run around to my neighbors and let them know it would be loud on Saturday morning. ArborTech did a great job removing 11 palm trees for me. Estimate was free and quick and they were so confident they could handle our huge, heavy palm trees growing into power lines. We scheduled a few days later and the workers were very professional and personable. We were nervous about our car and fence getting damaged and they were so nice making us feel confident. The work was done efficiently and faster than they assumed it would and we got to go back to our workday with minimal interruption. Good price almost 1/2 or two companies I got estimates from years ago when the trees were smaller, those chumps lied that I'd need a crane and all kinds of stuff. We had AborTech out to remove 5 large redwoods that were leaning towards our home. They were very professional, gave me all the confidence with a highly risky removal and I definitely recommend them. I took several quotes from tree care specialists for removal of a very large diseased almond tree and pruning and clean up of two very large Mayten trees in my back yard. Arbortech was early for the quote appointment leaving me a very competitive quote in comparison to several other quotes I received. Arbortech was 15 minutes early the day of the job. Lead specialist Jorge P. reviewed the job with me ahead of starting and explained clearly everything he and his crew planned to do. At different stages of the work he asked me if I wanted to come out and inspect... as they worked. The job was done perfectly as quoted and the yard was left cleaner then when the started. There were no add-ons or up-charges added to the original quote. I will have Arbortech back to replant a replacement tree for the one I had removed. Had George and Trino trim a couple of large, over grown avocado trees. They arrived on time and did a great job leaving two beautifully shaped trees. When they left all the debris was removed and the job site clean. Much appreciated. Prices are reasonable not the cheapest, but not the most expensive. Weeds to WONDERFUL! I had a large backyard of gophers, weeds, a sloped area and a rotted deck. Amazing what a plan , some manual labor, a skilled tree pruner and a tractor can do. Ron and his employees are easy to work with. They are open to ideas and have good input. Enrique and the crew didn't do a good job cutting the tree at our place. The 4 other ones were cut incorrectly and my neighbors said it was the worst job they have ever seen. They came back to redo it but still the redone branches fell and the tree came out ugly. Not sure if the new tree will grow now. The price was very high too given the poor quality of work done. We were ready to hire him but the total cost of the project was a little over our budget so we asked if the price was negotiable. We emailed him three times and left a message on his phone and no response back. We even had his executive assistant reach out to him for us and still no response. Highly unreliable. Months of follow ups via email and phones required. Finally scheduled the time to know that they want to do only partial work. But "dictating" payment terms outside the contract. Falsified statement that someone told them "verbally" that only partial work is required. Although person showed up had full contract in hand. Hung up the phone when declined to pay outside contract. Now I have to look for another contractor. Wasted one day of time off from work. Be careful. Do not pay unless contract is complete. I would have have preferred to give them 4.5 stars but I rounded it up to five. I liked the fact that Gary came out to do the estimate and he did the tree trimming. I enjoyed watching him work. He was always studying the tree as he was "beautifying" the tree. You could tell he knew his art. I expected some incidental damage from falling debris, but there was a bit more than I was hoping for. I called Ron several months ago about our acacia tree whose trunk grew straight for the first 10 feet, but was growing at an angle higher up. A prior arborist had used a rope tied to a post to try and straighten the tree, but it seemed to do little good, and Ron assured to me that such an approach was worthless. We discussed several possible causes of the problem, with corrective pruning being the only real solution. Ron offered to look at some photos of the tree and provide further feedback, but although I e-mailed them twice, he never responded again. Still, knowing that pruning to re-shape the tree and encourage it to grow straight again was needed, I was able to do the job myself, and the tree looks much better. read more

We are in the process of doing some remodel on my grandpa's house. The backyard unfortunately was an overgrown mess. We had one tree that looked like 2 or 3 or possibly 4 trees had grown as one. It was pretty gnarly. They came in the morning on time. They got right to work with their chainsaws of cutting down the beast. It took longer than we first anticipated because the tree was bigger than anyone had expected. Then they got to work with the weed wacker and attacked that yard. The crews had little to no supervision, I had to be there to direct the work. I am disabled and that is very difficult. They did not complete all of the required work, and I had to call Arbortech to get them to bring back a crew and finish the job. The crew left a mess and again I had to call Arbortech to get a crew to come back and clean up. Then I found that they had taken my own 12 foot pruning pole/saw. I have called and emailed Arbortech to get them to bring back my saw or provide a replacement. Its been over two months, and I have not received any response from them. read more
