LICENSED AND AFFORDABLE This past summer my sister was helping our parents of finding a tree arborist to trim tree branches from our neighbor's yard that were hovering over parents' backyard in Fremont. My parents felt the quote provided from the tree arborist was expensive. My sister asked me to find other trees arborists on Yelp. I asked J.T.S. Tree Expert for a quote. When I made the request on Yelp I also checked the box to send the request to other vendors. I met most of the vendors that responded through Yelp at my parents' place. In August I scheduled as many tree arborists as possible I could for a free estimate. I learned a lot from them regarding what needed to be done. Seeing multiple tree arborists provided me insights on what issues to ask. After the appointments each tree arborist provided me with a quote. One was really expensive even though he was licensed. There were a couple of tree arborists that weren't licensed that provided more reasonable quote. One thing I observed from my encounters with the tree arborists is they would tell you about the estimated quote for the trimming however when I received the quote there was another charge for the cleaning. When I met Jose and Veronica from J.T.S Tree Expert I showed them the backyard on my parents' home. J.T.S was the second to the last tree arborist I scheduled for an estimated quote. Jose told me that time frame for trimming the trees would be six hours. At the end I decide to go with J.T.S as they were not only licensed but also the cheapest as the quote included the tree trimming and the cleaning. I wasn't there on the day of Friday October 10 when J.T.S workers came to my parents' house for the trimming. However my parents were. They said the processed took about five hours. I went to the backyard on Monday October 13 to see the outcome. I was more than happy with the result of the branches that were trimmed. I can see the fence of my parents' backyard. His crew showed up promptly a few mornings later. Benjamin, the foreman, did all the tree climbing and cutting while the others brought the cuttings out to the street to feed to the wood chipper. Benjamin was quite knowledgeable about trees. He said he's been doing this for 16 years. When I told him what I was trying to accomplish with each tree, he repeated my instructions to make sure we were both on the same page. I made a point to remain outside with them to make sure each tree was trimmed to my liking before Benjamin finished and moved on to the next tree. They were extremely professional and helpful throughout the entire process from obtaining the permit to removing the trees. We worked with Jose and David to get an arborist report so that we can obtain the tree removal permit from the City of San Jose. It was a lengthy process but we couldn't have done it without them. The tree removal process took a total of 2 days and we were amazed at how agile his team members were. They were very professional and worked extremely hard to make sure that everything went smoothly. They were mindful when they stripped down our redwood tree and tossing down the branches as we have a white fence surrounding our house. They left zero-damage and cleaned up everything! They had something come up on their end and had to reschedule twice but I appreciate that they notified us a few days prior. They were so nice to my mom and even did extra tree trimming included in the quote. These guys are really good at what they do. We have a HUGE sycamore tree in our backyard. They got here on time this morning which I really appreciated. I hardly noticed them working in the back, other than the occasional notice from the shredder. My husband even mentioned that they work quietly. I had them trim two large (50 feet tall) chinese elm trees in my backyard. It was a difficult job as there are lots of small plants underneath they had to not crush. The crew came out and did an amazing job of thinning the canopy, finding and cutting out the dead wood and cutting branches away from my roof. The result was open, airy trees that look like they had not been pruned - which is exactly what you want. I hate seeing these 'chop jobs' where trees are horribly pruned and look like they were abused! The trees are open internally and have lots of room to grow as they leaf out later in the Spring. They cleaned up along the way and left the yard clean and neat, with very little damage to any of my plants. They had a crew of three, one cutter and two on the ground cleaning up and shredding branches. I'll hire them again. read more
