It was one of my favorite sandwich. Slices of rib eye sautéed with pepper and onion. We opt for no cheese cause of allergies, but the sandwich was very juicy. No need any condiments. They have two locations. This one is farther north about 15 mins away from Binghamton University but closer to Suny Broome. Though there is a closer location to Binghamton. I heard that the rib eye sandwich is only available in the other location. Def worth the drive up. We also ordered the onion rings and chicken nuggets. But the star was the rib eye sandwich. Will beback very soon.

I didn't remember to add mayo and lettuce to our original, so it was a little dry. I did ask for mayo and lettuce and added it. The macaroni salad was really good! Today (7/25) we stopped in to have lunch with family who are local on our way back to NC. The spiedes were really sloppy and so saturated the bread was mushy. The 12 inch original my husband and I were sharing was super saturated. Unfortunately one of the chunks of chicken was served raw in the middle and I ate a bite out of it before I noticed the raw inside. I took the piece to the employee working the to go counter and she offered to remake our order and refunded by husband's card. I appreciate the business making it right. Hopefully our next trip will be a more positive experience. However overall the two stops were not bad, even with undercooked chicken.

While we decided to stop in the Binghamton area, we looked at various pizzas online and found this restaurant whose Pizza appeared to be the closest to the New York City style. We ordered a medium pepperoni, the guy working in the counter seemed friendly and made us a fresh one while we sat and watched. When the pizza was done, he showed us what it looked like and whether we wanted it cooked more. He did warn us that he can always cook it more, but he can't uncook it. We asked him to cook it more, and he did a good job. We then sat in the car and ate this delicious pizza. I definitely ate way more than I was planning to, because it was just that good. In hindsight, I wish we ordered a large. The medium pepperoni pizza was roughly $20. They also have and all you can eat buffet, though neither of us can eat more than two slices of pizza to make it worth it. But if this is your thing, that would be another reason to visit here.

I wanted to check out Tom's Texas Hots because i had never been there, so i went and while it still…read moresaid Tom's Texas Hots in some spots, in other places it said TJ's Famous Texas Hots, so instead of posting this under Tom's i'm going to start a new page for TJ's because it's a new owner in the same space. i've never had tom's before so i can't say if the food is the same, but the food i got was good enough. the Texas hots were decent, the chilli sauce is pretty good but the hot dog itself was nothing special, just a typical small ball park style hot dog, but i'm ok with that because they are only charging $2.50 per order. the chopped steak burger is worth checking out too, the meat seems to be pretty good quality and there's a lot of meat on it, but i wasn't a fan of the bread they used for it. the fries here are just ok, i dunno if i'd feel the need to order them again, they aren't super thin but they aren't super thick either. the outsides get done before the insides do, it's hard to eat them without a condiment. i tried the BBQ sauces they have out too. the root beer sauce is pretty thin and the root beer flavor is really up front. it was good as a dipping sauce but on a sandwich i feel it would probably be a bit too sweet. they have another BBQ sauce there too, it was a bit on the darker side and i think i liked it better, it tasted like there was a bunch of steak sauce in it, both sauces were pretty unique. the inside is nice for a burger and dog joint but it is kinda small so it can fill up quick, and when it does the kitchen seems to get a little flustered and unorganized, so be prepared to deal with that. they are also out of stock of certain items at times, which can be disappointing. another thing i noticed is that behind the building theres a sign that says "TJ's BBQ" and then there's 3 or 4 grills that are covered up. i dunno if any of these are actual smokers but it would be really cool if they did do smoked BBQ in the spring, i'll have to keep an eye out for that

I gave it a couple chances about 4 months apart from each other. Tom's sauce was thick and with excellent seasonings. TJ's was bland and watery. By the time I was half way through my dog each of the two times, my bun was soggy. I had a punch card - 10 punched for a free dog - from Tom's that TJ was continuing. I had filled it up on the last visit. I gave it away to the only other person in there, because I had no intention of going back. What a shame, a true gourmet hot dog ruined and gone forever.
