I haven't been here in years and was really looking forward to my meal. I didn't want a lot of bread, so I was thrilled to see the salads. I ordered the Greek Spiedie Salad with tzatziki on the side.it was a pretty good sized salad with a nice portion of Spiedie Chicken. Everything in the salad was fresh, the tzatziki sauce was very good...but the biggest disappointment was the chicken. So many of the pieces were really dry. It was hard to chew some of them even when I cut them in smaller pieces. The employees were friendly and all seemed to be working hard during this very busy lunchtime. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was nicely decorated and seemed very clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

So here's another if you're from Binghamton you're no stranger to a spiedie but if you're not from Binghamton you won't know what it is or how to spell it. I came here for dinner and ironically didn't get a spiedie sub which they have many variations of! I got the Soco fried chicken sandwich and an order of onion rings and a drink and it came to $16 and change. I usually get this sandwich without the slaw but today I tried it with and it tastes the same but adds a little extra crunch which I don't mind. The soco is a piece of fried chicken boneless of course with a chipotle sauce spicy pickles and spicy slaw but not so spicy you want to chug a water and it's absolutely delicious!the onion rings were crunchy but not burnt and you get a lot for a regular order and even more for a large same for the fries. Now if you've gotten this far and still wondering what a spiedie is it's a marinated piece of chicken but not normal chicken it's fantastic and it has a good char and basically it's Binghamton's baby!. Spiedie and rib pit also holds a lot of history here and at some point as a kid I was told about some feud in the family there is a relation to Lupo's (another spiedie place) as they have a quote from grandpa Lupo himself on the wall. Anyway I waited about 10 minutes max and my food was brought to the table so not a long wait but if you want to get in and out I suggest ordering ahead online but for sit down it was no trouble. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside there is quite a large amount of seating for 1 person all the way to 8 people[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Often in the afternoon you can catch people from the sheriffs office getting lunch . [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is wonderful lighting the kind that sets the tone but is also decorative it's cozy but not small but also like wow they really know what they're doing it's a great vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This is personally a home town favorite for me and many others so if you're in Binghamton and looking for somewhere casual look no further 100% recommend this location specifically too!

I love their sandwiches. Service is quick and the cashier was helpful and friendly. Everything is reasonably priced. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is nice and clean inside with comfortable seating options and a couple benches to wait for to go orders.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I did find the potato salad to be bland. Not horrible, but not something I would pick again. The cole slaw leans on the sweeter side which isn't my preference but I know it is popular. I personally prefer the spicy slaw on the fried chicken sandwich. The mac and cheese was nice and cheesy with al dente pasta. The ribs were saucy and smokey with good flavor but not fall off the bone tender. The pulled pork sandwich was sauced well with a good smoke flavor but not overpowering, and a big portion. All the sandwiches had a lot of meat.

3.5 stars. Slightly healthier fast food joint. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Easy stop with the kids.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Salad was good - the chicken was a bit dry and hard. Pita was hard and cold Ribs were good Potato salad is okay Nuggets were thin, not bad.

Excellent sandwich! My brother from Philly wanted you to try something local when traveling through Binghamton. So, I had to try it on my next trip through from Rochester to Philly, after I recommended it to him! It'll be a regular stop on that route!

Great place to stop for a bite in binghamton! We were in town for the Luma festival and wanted to grab food first. This place had great reviews and it didn't disappoint. The BBQ was some of the best we've ever had! The ribs are seriously fantastic. I personally would skip the Spiedie next time. We got some on bread and some on a salad. It was just too dry and not really my taste (for anyone wondering, it's similar to kebab chicken!) Service was quick and friendly, [[HIGHLIGHT]]plenty of seats, clean bathrooms, casual family friendly atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We'd definitely be back for the ribs! Come early for dinner, by the time we left around 6:30pm on a friday the line was out the door.

Spiedie and Rib Pit is a local spot my family and I always really enjoyed stopping at when we were in the Binghamton area. After moving out of state, I hadn't been in several years. When I recently was going to take a bus to Binghamton, I knew I had to stop by. My grandparents and I were initially confused when we parked since we didn't know Spiedie and Rib Pit was in a new building! However, we quickly realized the situation and walked over. We took a moment to look at the menu then ordered. I ended up opting for a 6 inch plain chicken spiedie with a side of mac salad. We received a number and went to sit down. After a few minutes the food came out. Everything was so delicious. It was even better than memory had served. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Honestly the new dining room is great since it provides a lot more room than previously allowed by the old building.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] MY grandparents and I all had a sandwich with a mac salad then even had rice pudding for dessert -- everything was perfect. I'm really happy to say that Spiedie and Rib Pit delivered beyond nostalgia for a really delicious meal. I would 100% stop again when I find myself in the area. Highly recommend!

Not gonna lie their food kind of slapppppps. I still haven't had spiedies but everything else at both locations has been sooooo good.

Stopped by this local spot on the way back home to Toronto from New York. What a gem! These spiedies are so unique and flavourful! Be prepared to get a bit messy though! Haha. The sides are also bomb, we had the potato salad and cheese fries to go with our spiedie! We saw the other table order wings and a salad and both looked so good we couldn't resist and ordered the wings as well. They were huge, the portions were great and the amount of sauce they gave was chefs kiss! I'm a saucy girl and this definitely checked all my boxes. Will have to drop by again during our next road trip!

southern-tier staple! I never actually had a spiedie out and about. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I instantly recognized the old Pizza Hut style building, but it was completely different and cozy inside![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got a Caprese & a Spiedissimo, the Spiedissimo was the favorite with lots of classic peppers & onions with the juicey marinade. The fries were soo salty, perfect for the occasion.

I sadly are my delicious food before I even thought to take a picture lol. Great, easy sandwich spot! The menu is simple enough but enough of a variety the whole family will find something they like. I got the buffalo sandwich with a side of ranch, onion rings and a side of Mac salad. I do with the sandwich was a little spicier and had more blue cheese but the flavor was on point. The meat was seasoned to perfection and I added ranch on it which took it to the next level. The onion rings were fried to perfection and I could tell them were made in house. I would go back just for the onion rings. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff was friendly, patient as I figured out the menu and the vibe is simple but fairly spacious enough for a group.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The signature sandwiches of Binghamton NY is the Spiede. It's a must have when riding through. I've been to those places many times busy a few years ago they moved into a stand alone and expanded their menu. Wowee!!!! If you are reading this you'd better goer here and bring your appetite because the sandwiches are ginormous!!! Mega Awesome

And lastly, extremely fair pricing - I'd go so far as to say great Ang for the buck for the quality and quantity. We were visiting Binghamton from NJ so this a review from a first-timer. From the moment we walked in, the staff behind the register and in kitchen were all super friendly, patient, accommodating, and seemed to appreciate their customers. From the looks of it, have a steady carry out local customer-base so there was ample seating so no wait and service was quick for a late Saturday lunch. As for the food - it was straight well-cooked, moist bbq. It had a perfect amount of smoky flavor and very savory while not too salty. We had the brisket, ribs, and smoked turkey. The briskets practically disintegrated as soon as I put my fingers on them. It comes with a side of horseradish sauce which paired perfectly. The ribs were fall off the bone and dry rub (I believe) which I prefer. And my favorite - and sometimes hard-to-find - the smoked turkey was absolute perfection. Not over or under powering. Just the right amount of smoky flavor. I didn't need to add sauce to any of the meats to enjoy them. The onion rings were perfectly fried - crunchy with thick cuts of onion. While my son and I were split on the Mac n cheese (which was definitely good anyway you look at it), my son liked it more than I did. The best side IMO is their baked beans. It was acidic and less sweet in a good way and tasted like no other BBs I've had. I'm not sure I'll have another reason to be up in Binghampton again, but I will so be going here again if I ever do. I did want to try the fried catfish so hopefully a trip will come its way.

This lovely lounge did not disappoint. When I walked through the old doors, I entered a unique atmosphere with a mix of old timey and retro punk vibes. Served in the perfect glass, the Collins was definitely a balance of flavors. Since the vodka rigatoni is what peaked my curiosity, that is what I ordered. It was phenomenal. I decided to go with the "old-school" version at the encouragement of my server, which included Cayenne pepper. It came out perfectly spiced and piping hot. We came towards the end of the lunch rush (1-2PM?) and were seated immediately. The ambiance is hip and buzzy, with lots of colorful decor. I'd never thought about dousing this tasty veggie in hot sauce and blue cheese, but it makes sense. This was a very tasty app, and the sprouts were roasted perfectly with crispy outer skins which provided the crunch needed for a good buffalo dish. The special that day was some kind of french dip sandwich which one of my dining companions got. Another one got a cajun catfish sandwich and graciously offered me a bite. It was flavorful. For my main, I got the spring roll bowl and decided to add tofu. It had noodles, peanuts, a sweet thai chili sauce, and lots of veggies. It was MASSIVE. Prices are a little high but the portions definitely made it worth it. I could have taken half home as leftovers if I'd wanted. The restaurant also has a coffee bar which we decided last minute to partake in instead of venturing out into the rain to find a different cafe. This was such a convenient option because we didn't have to fight to find parking or brave the weather to go to a second location. I did a pistachio latte. Someone else at my table got a Mexican hot chocolate. I treated myself to the homemade whipped cream. The coffee hit the spot. Throughout the whole experience the staff was wonderful. Our food came out quickly, and the servers were very friendly and joking with us. I'd come back if I was in the area.
