Our Server Margaret was a #5! Service was great. The team was helpful. Food was a 1.5? I was served a Burger today about 1pm. The burger and toppings were shifted sideways off the bun. Then I noticed the Lettuce was Black, wilted and rusted. I removed the rotted greens. Burger was steamed and not grilled. Not very good. I reluctantly ate it as we were traveling and I was hungry. I reported the rotten Lettuce and Margaret told the Staff. The Manager came and offered a discount and said the Lettuce was taken off the line. I paid for it and said please do not serve this to other customers. NOW, I'm thinking KITCHEN NIGHTMARES, GORDON RAMSEY! what does their walk-in fridge look like? How can the staff put Black Lettuce on a Burger and not notice???? I hate writing a bad review, but it was nasty and a Burger at Wendy's is MUCH BETTER! Wow, what a gem this is! The service by Anna was swift and nice, and the food we ordered were all very tasty! I had the t-bone steak, with corn and fresh fruit. So I'm an idiot sometimes. I booked a trip this past summer with my dad and my son. I thought Binghampton was close to the Storm King Arts Center when I was planning the trip and booking. I didn't realize that Binghampton was 160 miles away from New Windsor, NY where the arts center was and that the Windsor, NY I saw when I was planning and booking that was 20 minutes away was not New Windsor, NY. So after the storm king arts center we took the long ride to Binghampton. We wanted dinner by the time we got here and went to Denny's before checking into the Motel 6. I don't remember what we picked to eat but my dad, son and I were happy with the food and the service here. There used to be Denny's on LI and we felt like those Denny's sucked but this one upstate was far better. read more

Food is fine, service is as well. Easy parking. But if you happen to be physically disabled...good luck trying to get in the restroom unaided. The door is too heavy/hard to open. Once inside, I'd rate it a 5 out of 10. The handicap stall is ample, with paper and so on easy to access. Sinks, though are too high, ditto soap dispensers. Paper towels are in reach. The server tried her best to give us good service. The management was horrible. The manager Will was screaming and yelling very vulgar words at the cook and the dish washer. Calling them retards and pieces of shit. I then witnessed him sexually harass the waitress right in front of customers. The worst management I have ever seen in my entire life. I myself was a manager for a small restaurant years ago and I was trained that a manager's job is to make people of all different backgrounds work together so that everything goes well in this productive. I can tell you without a doubt that this management does everything except that. They cause fights between the workers they start trouble between coworkers they gossip they lie they do everything they can to make it not work as smoothly as possible. I don't know how him or his wife have not been fired considering they shouldn't be working together in the same restaurant either. Cuz when I was a manager that was not allowed. They seem to do what they want however they want treat people like crap make up their own rules change them from day to day and lie about everybody and then still have their jobs and get treated like there's something good for the company when they're the worst possible candidates for the job. They can hire anybody off the street and it would be better than them. So if you can see this Denny's you need to fire these people immediately or you're going to lose this restaurant as a franchise. I've been to different Denny's locations all over the country, from California to upstate New York. It's like fast food but with wait staff and not as fast. I come here every weekend for breakfast. The food is good, parking plentiful, and the service is amazing! The servers are all friendly and accomodating! The place is a 24 hr. diner, so you might expect a little crust. You get it. Our server was well groomed and courteous. Some of the other staff were not either of those. The food is standard Denny's fare. Neither spectacular or unpallatable, just middle of the road sustanence. The men's restroom needed help. Urinal was out of order?, floor was icky, & the stall door had no lock. If you get caught short, Burger Kinc is nearby with a clean toilet & a locking door. read more

Have gone twice in the past month. First time the waitress and service (Ash) was amazing! Attentive and engaging with a smiling face. Manager Mike tried to ring me out, entered that I had paid cash when I was using my debit card and then asked me to use the ATM to get cash which I did just to be able to pay but he didn't even offer to compensate for the now extra $5 I spent for ATM fees, brushed it off as a fluke and didn't even think about it longer. Tonight was the EXACT opposite. Waitress was overwhelmed and struggling. Manager was barely there to be seen. Ordered 3 appetizers for our family of 5, then 20 min or so later ordered our mains as we were still deciding. Another 20 minutes and we get 1 appetizer told the rest are coming. Then we get our meals, followed by the other 2 appetizers. Waited almost 15 minutes when we asked for a glass of water. I understand places are understaffed, but the "manager" could have helped! Food was decent, aside from being given BBQ sauce with our mozzarella sticks. That and loaded tots that we got after our entrees were good, but we Probabaly won't be back again after tonight's lack of service. read more

I walked in two minutes late to pick up a mobile order. there were theee dirty tables n the restaurant which hadn't even been pre-bussed. let alone cleared. no employee was present at the entrance and I was ignored for 1-2 min. there was a waitress playing the stuffed animal quarter machine when I walked in who eventually, after going for more quarters twice, she noticed me and asked what I needed. She went in the kitchen to find out the order hadn't been started. It would be another "10-15 min.". 25 min later the order (2 sandwiches and two fountain drinks) were finally ready over 30 minutes late and almost an hr after having been ordered. They did not have a few things that 2 people in our party wanted to order. My grand daughter asked for chocolate milk, they didn't have any, then she chose apple juice, they didn't have that either. I wanted an avocado burger, they have no avocados. Another member wanted a breakfast sandwich which had brisket in it, they didn't have any brisket. Very disappointing visit. They either need to update their menus or order what they need to make everything that is listed on the menu. read more

01/17/2023 Ate there for lunch. Diner took an hour for a salad and chicken tender meal! The soup was cold, and the french fries were served 10 minutes before the chicken tenders and were barely lukewarm. They were so slow, my wife was done with her salad as the french fries arrived. The chicken tenders finally came 10 minutes later. I finished and we waited another 10 minutes for the bill.....it never came so we went up to pay anyway. I had a current 20% off coupon which she wouldn't accept. I let her know we would never eat here again which she replied as she walked away.....we're losing so many customers. I went to the denny's on carrier Circle Friday 11/24 with my 2 teenage grandsons. The food was terrible. But the server was fantastic. I've been coming to this place for years, and it seems like the service remains good but the food gets worse. Unfortunately I come to eat a good meal, and the service is just a bonus. We ate there mid day Sunday, 10/18/2020. Denny's...Upper Front St Binghamton. After we got our food we started to notice bugs on the wall our table was against. The server brought our food and asked if we needed anything else. I told him about the bugs. Without responding or even glancing at the wall, he sat our food down and left. I'm guessing now that he was embarrassed and concerned but possibly frustrated about the situation. We began to notice more and more bugs on the wall as we ate and my girlfriend couldnt finish. The server brought our check. As we waited in line to pay there were even more bugs on the wall behind the register booth. I asked a passing server if I could speak to a manager. The manager approached and asked what we needed to talk to him about. I said we were wondering if he knew that two of his dining room walls were littered with bugs. His response? Wait for it...an emphatic "I KNOW". Like he was proud of the knowledge. The exchange after that was so absurd and bizarre that it defies explanation. He said that they were "out of that spray stuff that you know, gets rid of them". When my girlfriend asked why he let ppl eat at a table next to them he said it was because nobody was sitting there. She informed him that was why the server was clearing the table...that we had just gotten up. He said he wouldnt call the wall littered with bugs. We had counted over 20 that we could see from our seats on the one wall, we didnt count the ones on the register booth wall also. He told us that yeah hes usually the one who tries to keep them cleaned off. My girlfriend asked him how long he had been there today. He answered...a couple hours. When she asked him if he couldnt clean them off or have somebody else do it in two hours he said its hard to get rid of them. (apparently clean restaurants dont have that issue). When she asked him if he thought it was ok to spend $25 on food to eat with bugs, he grabbed the receipt, turned around and walked away. With his back to us, he said...have a nice day. I was laughing so hard at how bizarre and inappropriate his responses were that I had tears in my eyes. He KNOWS theres a lot of bugs, hasnt taken initiative to get rid of them, is indignant, and wants to debate the meaning of the word littered. I had even told him that there had been more on the waal but that the group of people who had just passed had stirred them up and they were flying around. Yep...thats the response I want to hear when pointing out a bug infestation to a restaurant manager...an emphatic, proud..."I KNOW". read more

I think the appeal to have Denny's when you're outside of New York City is very high. I went in to this particular location with some girlfriends to have lunch since we were in the area. I wasn't interested in having anything breakfast related. I ordered a Cesar salad along with a turkey sandwich and a small soup. The sandwich, which included a small soup, were part of the 2-4-6-8 menu. The first thing I received was the salad, which most of the lettuce was already going bad. The sandwich and soup came right after. I had the chilli, which I wouldn't get full size if I were to go back. The sandwich was okay, but I didn't like the sourdough bread it came in. Our waiter was very attentive and sweet, but that didn't compensate for the crappy food. Overall, I think I'll stick to breakfast items when I go visit ANY Denny's in the future. read more

I hated this place man. It doesn't take you 45 minutes to cook eggs and toast. There was no rush either so I don't understand the wait, there were only 4 people in the restaurant. The prices were outrageous considering what you get. $11 for a 45 minute wait for some eggs? No. But our server was very polite and always checked in on us. I will not be returning to Denny's. We have been disappointed at other Denny's Restaurants in various parts of the country, but this particular Denny's really went above and beyond. Arrived there 9 PM on a Sunday night and there were not too many patrons there. The AC was cranked up to "below freezing" so we put on our coats. The server then came around and turned back to AC to a reasonable temperature. When placing the order we were told certain items on the menu were not available (avocado) because the one's they had available were "too hard". So, put them in a brown paper bag and soften them up. Finally placed the order, and the the wait started. 32 minutes later we queried the server, and the response was they were busy and the manager was the only cook available. Sorry, folks, that doesn't hack it. So, hire more people. When the meals finally arrived, they were not what we had ordered. Needless-to-say, probably won't be going back to that place if it can be helped. read more
