I've been going to ARC since they opened originally as a unisex barbershop, beauty, nail, and hair salon. I even took my godson there for his first haircut! They have since scaled back to just threading and eyebrow dying. I find them to be the greatest, most genuine, professional, and friendly people you'll ever meet! I usually use either Gina or Rosie, but am comfortable with all of them. You can schedule an appointment on line, but walk ins are welcomed. I have been coming to this salon for 16 years, and I have never had any problems with anyone. I've had my eyebrows done by all the girls. Today, as always, I went to get my eyebrows done, and Puja completely removed my eyebrow hairs. When I asked her why she did that, she told me that I had arrived like that--with no hair. As you can see, I took before and after photos. I showed them to her, but she kept saying that my photos didn't show any hair. I explained that the filter and eyebrow makeup might not make it look clear. She laughed at me and said that a filter wouldn't make eyebrow hair disappear. I have tattooed eyebrows, so they don't always show clearly in photos. Then, she started speaking in her language with another girl, and they were laughing, making me feel like they were mocking me--like I was crazy. But I am not crazy. I told them to just charge me so I could leave. I also reminded her that she had done my eyebrows in November and before that, too. She denied it, saying I had never gotten my eyebrows done by her. I asked the cashier to check the system, and I have indeed had my eyebrows done there before, without ever having this issue. You can see in the photos and videos--I have no eyebrow hair left. Yet, I still had to pay $31. I don't care about the $31. What matters to me is my hair. We are vain, we are insecure, and we know that my eyebrows won't grow back easily. What upset me the most was her attitude--telling me I arrived there without hair, as if I were crazy. That was disrespectful. If she had been humble and spoken to me differently, I would have accepted it as a mistake--because we all make mistakes; we are human. But her mocking attitude, her denial, and trying to make me feel like I was imagining things was insulting. read more

Nilam is the best one here. I get the $30 full face wax. Anyone other than Nilam is not good. Attached are the photos of how red and irriated my skin gets, as well as wax that was left in my hairline. I usually get a little red, but NOWHERE near this level! My skin was sensitive for 3-4 days after this, which again, much more severe than I've ever had before. The price is great, but I will be going elsewhere from now on. read more

I was the first to enter this establishment at 8:59am. I was trying to sign in and had difficulty. I told sajah I wanted Kim to do my eyebrows. Two walk ins walked in about 7 mins after me and they were seen first I was then told that I had to wait 15-30 mins. These ladies walked in 7 mins after me.Sajah did not rectify the situation by telling the other walk-ins that I was there first. I spoke with her about the unfair treatment and nothing was done. I spoke with the manager and he said he would speak to them and call me back. This was at 9:20am, he said he would speak to them and call me back. Poor customer service. read more

please save your money and tears!! I have been coming to this place for about 8 months now, I have noticed the last three times they have completely thinned out my eyebrows. Even with careful instruction, for them not to thin my eyebrows, and just simply shape them, i have pencil thin brows. today was the last straw, three months of growing my eyebrows, the lady Puja, completely destroyed them. When I asked about them, she said put castor oil. My family and I along with my friends will never come back to this place again. I wish I could give Arc Beauty Salon more stars!! I'm very, very picky with how my eyebrows look. I stopped going to get my eyebrows done because my last eyebrow lady wasn't doing the trick anymore. Soon after we were in a pandemic so I was stuck to do my own. I needed professional help to give some shape to my brow as plucking was not cutting it anymore. I didn't feel comfortable going to a salon until just recently. My mom and I walked into Arc Beauty (with masks on of course), our first initial reaction was that it was bright and clean. Immediately I felt at ease. The front reception takes your temperature and you proceed to check in. You choose what you want done and with who. It provides you with your wait time and how much the service will be. While waiting for my appointment, I noticed all employees wipe down the seat with sanitizing spray after each customer. To add, there are also dividers between each chair. It was my turn! I was recommend by a friend to have eyebrows done by Rosie and I was not disappointed! She did a great job with shape and clean up. I really appreciated that she took what I wanted into consideration and showed me her progress as the service was being done. Will definitely be back! UPDATE: So after the situation the store owner contacted me directly and was super apologetic about what happened and even spoke to his staff about being more careful. I have gone back and everyone was very nice and apologetic and they did a great job on my eyebrows and lip! This is my go to place to get my eyebrows threaded; it's located near the ShopRite of Fair Lawn you can't possibly pass it. The women are pretty friendly and I've never had a complaint. When you walk in it's pretty big and there are chairs waiting for you to sit back and get waxed or threaded. I know there are some days when it can be busy but for the most part I get in and out! Came here once and I'll never go back. I did my eyebrows and nails. The eyebrow tinting was awful, they just painted thick unnatural looking brows. Then the only reason I proceeded to do my nails is because they don't accept card without a minimum. They have an ATM but I didn't want to pay a fee so I just got my nails done. It seems that the nail polish was so old it left air bubbles. Instead of fixing it the nail lady cut my bill in half which didn't really solve the problem. To the owner: I never said this happened recently, it did happen years ago so do not call me a liar. Second of all, if it's meant to look natural and it still looked bad, then that just shows that you did a horrible job. How about apologizing instead. read more

$6 for eyebrows is perfect price and their staff is good. I come here regularly for eyebrows. Had one incidence where it was a little thinner than I wanted but be sure to properly communicate your expectation - I sometimes get mousy so could've been my fault. Reema does it well! I wish they still had the Varago Loyalty Point System!! However they still do appointments thru that system I occasional get waxing done here as well, and I'm fairly satisfied - it's clean equipment (wax station is clean/neat., ample of wooden applicator sticks, wax is appropriate temp, gloves, etc.). The staff is trained well and process is quick and easy, and once again the price is perfect. I bought a wax package deal that couldn't complete by the expiration date due to the skin sensitivity issues. Ray was generous and allowed for an extended date which I greatly appreciated. I've done a pedicure once here which was OK. The ambiance isn't so relaxing. There's a constant shuffle of people in a rather small space. They have two pedi chairs.They definitely have a good price but then again I'd rather spend $5-$10 extra and go elsewhere for that part. But again the price tags here are great. I've also done a haircut/trim here once w/ Ray and it was very nice! My brother has got a men's haircut here twice and was satisfied as well.
