ARC nurture, now known as North Austin OB is phenomenal. I had previously been going to ARC northwest but transferred to seeing doctors at this location because my doulas had referred me to going to Dr. Kaufman. Kaufman is phenomenal as well and had she delivered my baby I would have been ecstatic. To be honest, all the doctors I've seen have been wonderful through my pregnancy. I came to them at my 3rd trimester around the 30 week mark and as they moved from their old location to their new office. So I was able to make my first and last visit at the old place before they moved closer to St David's North. The practice is cozy and warm as much as a doctors office can be and compared to my old OB experience it's night and day. I feel heard and didn't feel like I was going through the motions, no crazy waits to see the doctor for 10 minutes and each doctor I saw since you're not guaranteed a specific doctor to deliver your baby, was kind and reassuring when I met them all. During my pregnancy, all was going well until it was found that my 3rd trimester, I would be diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Dr. Sandu gave the diagnosis and while I was upset at first, I realize it was her by the books and no nonsense care that ensured a healthy mommy and healthy baby. Which is the ultimate goal when you think about where you want to land on D day. I am forever grateful for her kind words to give me the reality check so I had as little complications as I could in the hospital when delivering. I was scheduled for induction on Friday and Dr. Sandhu checked on me that evening, and as we saw no progression made, Dr. Bandi took over into Saturday. With my doula and husbands help to support me in the ordeal, we realized after over 24 hrs of pitocin administered and laboring that I wasn't making fast enough progress. I also saw our baby boys heart rate dip on occasion and was worried about his health. Due to the pain being unbearable even with an epidural as the pitocin overtired my body, Dr. Bandi was kind with her words to help guide and inform me of my options of how we could continue to labor or in the final outcome, an unplanned c section. While I balked at the idea of surgery, the pain was honestly too much and I didn't feel I would have the energy to continue if I would wait it out. I let my team know I wanted to think about it and we would see if/when I could be taken to the OR. We were able to be taken back immediately and Dr. Bandi was able to reassure me we'd be able to see our baby boy soon. Surgery done, and we got our healthy baby boy and my birth although not what I planned, still got me wonderful positives and an outcome I loved. Thank you for your love, support and care! read more

My 19-year-old daughter was seen today by an ARC Nurse Practitioner at the North Austin Ob/Gyn - Renfert Way, Suite#250 location for a possible medical issue. As expected, she was led to an exam room and asked to disrobe in preparation for her medical exam. While she was awaiting the Nurse, an individual knocked on the door and asked to enter. Believing it was part of her ARC medical visit, she agreed. It was not. An individual entered and presented my child with a printout asking if they wanted to take part in a gender related study involving mental health issues that may or may not involve compensation (per the printout). Per my child, they pressed her to sign up and participate. Caught off guard by this unexpected intruder, my child responded they would speak with their mother first and took a picture of the handout to be polite. Again, my child was disrobed in the exam room awaiting an ARC medical professional when this individual entered on a completely unrelated matter and solicited them to take part in a study that had NOTHING to do with their medical care. How is ARC allowing this to occur? No one should be allowed to solicit disrobed patients inside an ARC exam room. These actions unnecessarily confused my child and made them extremely uncomfortable. If ARC wishes to setup a table in the office lobby for outside solicitors to attract interested parties, then so be it, but to allow them to enter exam rooms with disrobed patients is unacceptable and should be stopped immediately. Again, this solicitor had nothing to do with the purpose of my child's medical visit and was simply seeking applicants for their study. The printout in question showed "ROC - Reach out and Connect" on the front. ARC should not allow solicitors into the exam room under any circumstances! **Response to Annie A's reply: I attempted to send this complaint via your online form on the ARC contact page you're referring to, but it failed to accept my submission. Too many characters? Don't know - it did not provide an error message. Why not share your work contact email here so I, and others, may reach out to you directly with our concerns? They tell you to arrive 15-20 minutes early for your appt. I've currently been waiting for over an hour for my appointment and nobody can give me any updates. Really disappointed...my first time here and I'm not impressed. The girls at the front are all extremely rude and cold. I've seen several patients walk out already. Update: loved dr Gutierrez! She was very thorough and informative. The nurse was also really sweet and checkout process and labs was easy. But definitely plan to spend a few hours here. read more

Going to the gyno is anxiety-inducing enough for me already, but they didn't have to make it worse. I'm writing this as I sit half-naked, wrapped in a sheet, waiting. So this is a play-by-play of my visit. Dr. Bandi is lovely. I have no complaints about her specifically. She did my previous check-up quickly and in a friendly manner. And the clinic is clean and pretty. The staff I've interacted with have also been friendly. My problem has been with the rest of the set-up. My first appointment was early, with me hoping I'd be able to get to work at a reasonable time. I showed up early for the paperwork... and then waited 40+ minutes beyond my appointment time to even get seen. But as I said, Dr. Bandi was quick and efficient. I was out of there in less than 10 minutes... But still late for work. So I thought I would take the first appointment at 8:10 for my next so I wouldn't have to wait. Showed up 15 minutes early like the reminder said, but the doors open at 8, so I waited 5 minutes for that. I tried the door, but it seemed to be locked. I knocked at 8:04. They glanced at me from the front desk, but didn't do anything. I waited and knocked again at 8:07, somebody gestured to try the door again, and this time it opened. Maybe it was my mistake. Maybe I didn't pull hard enough when the doors seemed locked the first 3 times I tried them. Regardless, if you see somebody standing outside your doors, waiting, looking at you, you might wonder if there is, perhaps, a problem. When I DID get in, even though I had the first appointment, I still wasn't in until 13 minutes after the appointment time. Now I'm waiting for the doctor (who just got in a few minutes ago, I hear) 35 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start. So yeah, summed up: Lovely doctor, clean clinic, but appointment times make no difference, and that matters when you've got a job to get to. read more

I like Dr. Sandhu, but that is where the positive experience ends. It is always a 2-3 month wait to be seen, no matter how concerning or urgent your medical concern is. Every time I have called the office, I am on hold for at least 45 minutes. Last time I called, I was on hold for forty minutes only to learn that I was transferred to the wrong department. They then blamed me for selecting the wrong extension, even though I was checking on a referral, which according to their menu was option 3, so I pressed option 3. The nurse then said she would transfer me to the correct department and hung up on me. Oh, and all of this is because my initial referral was to a an imaging facility that wanted $1000 up front, with insurance, before they'd even do the needed test. For breast cancer. Do you know how scary it is to be unsure if you have cancer and the people who are supposed to care for you cannot be bothered to help you, or even pick up the phone? Disgusting. read more

These ladies delivered my second child, and I am really pleased with my decision to switch to this practice. My son was a little stinker and wanted to stay breech/transverse badly - up until induction. Liane and Dr. Campaigne took it all in stride and remained patient and optimistic through my third trimester and labor and delivery. I really appreciated the unhurried conversations I had with Liane and Dr. C. as my due date grew closer. When a decision had to be made about whether or not to attempt an external version, Dr. C. had a half-hour consultation with me. (When was the last time anyone spent 30 minutes talking to a doctor?!) She was willing to hold off on external version due to my history of babies who don't stay head-down, and let me use chiropractic and acupuncture to get my son to move. Junior kept things exciting up until the last minute, through a 24-hour-plus induction. We all understood that if he decided to move again in labor, it would mean a c-section. Liane and Dr. C. were patient and positive through it all. Dr. C. had a lengthy conversation with my husband and me, about 14 hours in, when I was exhausted, and discussed the pros and cons of an epidural. She also spoke frankly about the difference between labor with and without it. With my last L&D, my doctor did not discuss an epidural with me. Ultimately, I chose the epidural this time, and having experienced birth with and without it now, I can say with certainty, her descriptions of the differences between the two are spot-on, and I am glad I chose the epidural this time, because I needed some sleep. When all was said and done, my son was delivered safely (and head-first!). I mentioned in a previous review that this office handles billing well, appointments run on time (AMEN!), and the office and nursing staff are great. If I was having another baby, I would not hesitate to use Nurture again, and I really wish I had gone here for my first pregnancy. read more

In September 2009, after 45 hours of labor, I gave birth to my first and only child at St. David's North. Dr. Andrea Campaigne performed my c-section. At the time, she worked with Obgyn North, the practice I selected for a more personal and natural birth experience. During the procedure, she and her associate discussed their upcoming vacations. After the procedure, she marveled at the perfection of her surgical sutures. After I left the hospital, I experienced complications. After five weeks, I was sent to the emergency room with an infection in my c-section scar. The worst part, however, is that I bled and cramped severely for three months. I visited or called Dr. Campaigne's office weekly to explain the situation. During each encounter, I was reassured that "every woman just heals at her own pace." Dr. Campaign refused to examine me or even conduct an ultrasound (even when the machine was in the room with us). This went on and on for three months, until, while bleeding heavily, I passed a piece of placenta. At home. With no one at home but my three-month old daughter. I was rushed to her office, where "the sample" was sent off for testing. Even with it in front of her, Dr. Campaine refused to acknowledge that the sample was "a retained product of conception." She insisted that it couldn't possibly be the case, because "I cleaned you out with my own two hands." Over a week later, right before Christmas, I received an urgent phone call from her office. She needed to speak to me right away. As it turns out, she DID miss a piece of placenta, and let me carry it around inside my body for three months after birth. Her voice sounded flustered as she asked me if my bleeding had stopped and if I was sure I didn't need to come in. I assured her I would never come in again. Because of her mistake, and ultimately her conceit in refusing to admit her mistake, the following things happened: I bled/ hemorrhaged and experienced terrible pain for three months following the birth of my child. I could not breastfeed my baby because my hormones didn't normalize after birth. I had postpartum depression and anxiety. I could not care for my baby the way a new mother should. After 2 1/2 years, my blood iron levels haven't returned to normal. I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I have been constantly ill since the birth of my beautiful daughter. During my last conversation with Dr. Campaigne, I asked her why she didn't listen to me when I told her I knew that something was wrong. I asked her to admit she made a mistake. I wanted to her to apologize for her role in the pain I felt. Instead, she became defensive and dropped the call quickly. I never heard from her again. read more

I setup an appointment for a meet + greet at Nurture after finding out that I was 5 weeks pregnant. They advised not coming in prior to 8 weeks, which is standard, and I scheduled the appointment accordingly. Only days later, I began bleeding heavily and I was rushed to the ER. The ER doctor's at St. David's asked me for an OB/GYN, so I told them I had booked an appointment with Nurture. They called the midwife that was on-call at Nurture (it was the weekend, so the office was closed), and explained to the midwife that I would need to have a critical follow-up appointment 48 hours later, as they weren't sure if this was an ectopic pregnancy or a miscarriage. She said it wouldn't be a problem and to call on Monday morning to have bloodwork and an ultrasound booked. I called the office as instructed today, and I was told that they couldn't see me because I'm not a current client of theirs. You're allowed to deny me care if you're not accepting new patients (which you are, since you had already setup my appointment for next month), you don't accept my insurance (you do), or if you don't treat patients with the issues I'm experiencing (you obviously do). The lack of sympathy displayed by each and every person I spoke with was nothing short of disgusting. I was continually placed on hold, then transferred to many different people who all fed me reasons that differed from one person to the next. Morally speaking, the way you treated me was completely wrong. Legal? Maybe, but why treat someone with such blatant disrespect when they're already suffering from a loss? Excuses varied from: they're not taking new clients, they didn't have an ultrasound tech at the office, but they refused to schedule me for a another date this week that one would be there, and someone else said they'd be medically responsible for me, and they couldn't commit to that undertaking without a wellness exam. I said they could perform a wellness exam even though I had all of my papers for them to review, to which they of course said they couldn't find time for. I had all of the paperwork, ultrasounds, and blood work from the ER to show them for their records, and I simply needed additional blood work done to ensure that it was indeed a miscarriage, not an ectopic pregnancy, and verify that my hCG levels were dropping. After multiple rude conversations and pathetic excuses, I realized this was NOT the place for me. Not one single person at Nurture treated me with respect or compassion - maybe they should consider changing the practice's name? It's all too ironic. read more

After posting my initial review, Andrea Campaigne sent me the message below privately through yelp: "I too wish your day had not taken many of the turns it did. I went in with so much support in mind. I tried to talk to you at every twist in your baby's best interest. A woman in our hospital (not our practice) had a situation similar to yours just last week and her baby died. You remain one of the meanest people I have ever worked with, as corroborated by so many who were in the room that day. You made me question my calling to help women. I hope this slanderous telling of the story when I helped deliver your baby safely has made you feel better in some way about it." Making me cry over and over throughout labor was apparently not enough for her. There was nothing slanderous about my review, as it is a completely accurate recap. I was the furthest thing from mean to her. When she turned on me, I was legitimately afraid of her and what she could do to me/ possibly recommend unnecessarily. I was in labor and incredibly vulnerable. I still wonder if my episiotomy (both the initial cut and then the second cut) were really necessary or if she did them out of meaness. Thankfully, my daughter was born perfectly healthy. Meconium in the womb is a common occurrence and the likelihood of my baby dying from it is a fraction of a percentage at ~0.06% (I looked it up). She did not end up in the NICU, nor did she come close to dying. Further, my husband, doula and even the nurse in the room that day comforted me and all were in agreement that Dr. C was out of line. I am now happily pregnant with my second baby. We are working with my same awesome doula that, along with my husband, got me through the awful experience that Dr. Campaigne curated last time and I fully expect this next birth to be a cake walk compared to the last time. read more

I'll just start this review by saying Dr. Campaigne is the best doctor I have ever had. She was one of the five providers at her old practice, OBGYN North. In this practice, OB patients see a different provider at every appointment, so they will "know" the person that delivers your baby. Then whoever is on call at the time is the lucky person to catch your newborn. Throughout my pregnancy, I loved meeting with Dr. C (when I was lucky enough to have her.) She is VERY down-to-earth, will respond to your concerns, and has a warmth about her that is remarkable. When it came closer to the "big day", I began to pray not-so-secretly that she would deliver my child. The time came, the stars aligned, and DR. C brought Elise into the world. Without going into unnecessary and graphic detail, let's just say Dr. C did a great job with the delivery. All of my wishes were listened to and respected and everyone came away healthy. A few months ago, I found out Dr. C was no longer with OBGYN North. I was understandably distraught. Where did she go? Was she no longer practicing medicine? Unlike any doctor./patient experience I have had before, I found her on Facebook. She explained she was setting up a new practice in North Austin in late July. This brings me to my recent checkup at Nurture. One of the midwives and several of the nurses from OBGYN North joined her at this new space. They describe it as "boutique." The place doesn't really feel like a doctors office with the glass window and all of the papers informing you of insurance rules and that payment will be due at the time of service. (Duh.) Instead, there is water infused with cucumbers, fresh fruit and little candies. The walls are painted a calming taupe and the space is decorated with interesting and thoughtful art pieces. A friendly receptionist greeted me and assisted with the paperwork. And as always, Dr. C behaved more like a friend than a doctor. If you are looking for an OBGYN in the North Austin area, don't walk, RUN to Nurture. read more

My daughter has been a patient here for over 3 years. She has gone through a miscarriage a year ago and then a horrific car accident. So naturally, when she finally got pregnant again with this baby, she is being extremely cautious. She had many questions that were answered to my daughter's satisfaction. Now my daughter has entered her third trimester. A week ago, she received a letter from this practice stating that they no longer feel that they can provide her care. When she called to find why, they would not give her an answer until her last appointment with the midwife. Midwife! Really?? She has been seeing her actual doctor due to the fact that she is a HIGH RISK PREGNANCY! Why the midwife? Go to find out today that she had TOO MANY PHONE CALLS into the doctor over the last 7 months. Serious??!!! She's being cautious and does worry when something does not feel right. Isn't it the doctor's job to be helpful and ease their patients' worry? Like I said, my daughter has just entered her third trimester and she gets dropped for calling her doctor 2 times per month. My daughter requested an explanation in writing for the reason she got dropped the minute she got this vague letter. They yet to provide a written explanation. I believe it has to be provided by law, but I'm not a lawyer, just a very pissed off mom waiting for her new grandchild. So bottom line.....if you need NURTURING, you won't get it here. read more

I highly recommend Nurture to anyone looking for an OB! My friend Lindsay told me about this place and how it's a collaborative care office where you see different doctors each visit. I have been so pleased overall worth the care and services they have given me each visit. If you are looking for a laid back more hands off but super pro-natural birth delivery , this is the place to go! I absolutely loved DR. Kauffman who delivered my baby girl just 4 weeks ago! I'm going to have to echo Molly R. and John S. reviews. I've never felt so much like a paycheck rather than a patient. First off, I never see the same practioner on any visit. The last phone call I had the nurse was advising me to me off ANOTHER PATIENT'S CHART. I knew there had to be a mistake and she GAVE ME THAT PATIENT'S FULL NAME. Not cool. Now I don't think I can trust anything I'm told by the nursing staff. Also, ultrasound machine is broken, no sound for heartbeat and no photos. If you want straight forward, routine gynecology they are quick and efficient, that's a plus. If you're looking for thorough care then I'd stay clear. There's a laundry list of personal details that are inappropriate to air here, let's just say complacent and/or borderline negligent is the best way to describe this practice. read more

I chose Nurture as the OB for my first baby after visiting with five other doctors around Austin. I wasn't entirely sure what I was looking for, but knew even though I wanted to have my baby in a hospital, I also wanted to work with a practice that supported natural childbirth and would help me avoid a C-Section if at all possible. As part of my conversation with each doctor, I asked what their practice's C-Section rate was. One after the next quoted me the national average, the average at the hospital they use for deliveries, on and on, and told me they vaguely all fell right within those averages (30-40%). Nurture (both Dr Campaigne and Liane took time for the meet and greet) told me right away their rate was 11% (it has fallen to 9% over the past six months of my prenatal care) and talked about everything they do to try and avoid them. I knew right away this was the practice for me. I was also very impressed that while they truly believe the best thing for both mom and baby is to give them all time they need to labor, either Andrea or Liane will be at the hospital with us the entire time I am there delivering - no showing up at the end to catch the baby. They obviously love what they do, and truly care about all of their patients. They are also available for a home visit within a couple of weeks of delivery - they agree the standard six week follow up can be too long. Although they do seem to fall more on the natural side of things, I get the impression they are flexible enough to work with any woman's preferences to meet each of their patient's expectations. I've read so many articles about communicating with your care provider, and what to do if you feel they aren't listening to you. I have complete confidence that we are on the same page - I know they have my best interests at heart and am really looking forward to delivering our baby by under their care. read more

Dr. Campaign delivered my first baby. I had preeclampia and had to be induced just before my due date. I was in labor for 24+ hours. In this time, I never had to remind Dr. C of my birth plan. Dr.C remembered all details. Usually, induction increases the chances of having a c-section. i can say that Dr. C monitored me well and acted exactly as needed to ensure that my labor stayed active throughout the induction. I didn't need a c-section, or any major interventions. .At the end, I was up and walking without pain in no time. She was also incredibly calm, supportive and kind during the delivery. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. read more

A 5 star rating - from as skeptical, as vigilant, as instinctual and determined as any mama out there. There was no blind trust here. I wanted the right doctor and I wanted my perspective and my needs to be completely respected and honored. And at every appointment, my husband and I (upon being pregnant) brought in at least 20 questions on a piece of paper and I shared every concern I could possibly think of. I wanted to know every detail. This is why it is so bizarre to read the severely negative reviews of this practice - particularly about Dr. Campaign's lack of willingness to answer questions or to honor doubts, concerns, or birthing preferences - because it is so completely opposite of what my experience was. Dr. Campaign (and Liane!) would spend a RELAXED hour with us at every appointment - in that I never felt pressured to hurry, never felt like she was in a hurry, and never felt like she was defensive. My baby was breech for months and they were both SO supportive of me fighting to steer clear of a c-section, offering amazing intervention referrals and educating me about my choices. I found their advice and input always educated, always honest, soulful, and yet completely open to me trusting my own wisdom. In the end my water broke, I required a c-section because my daughter was still breech (chord wrapped 3 times around her neck). Despite not being on call, Dr. Campaign saw (at 2am in the morning) that I was admitted and CAME IN TO DELIVER MY BABY. Liane was also there and held my hand in the surgery room until my husband could join me. I relaxed completely because YES, I trusted her, I trusted my doctor. And you absolutely should trust the doctor you choose. The fit has to be right for both of you - for the doctor and the patient. I support all mamas following their instincts to choose their doctor/midwife. I feel extremely fortunate to be a part of Nurture and under the care of the women there. read more

My long-time OB GYN retired a couple months before we found out we were expecting our first baby, and several friends recommend Nurture. And, wow, I'm so grateful the timing worked out the way it did. From the first visit to confirm our pregnancy to the delivery of our baby boy, Nurture exceeded our expectations. Each of the providers and nurses were kind, direct and warm, and each visit felt personal, not rushed and comprehensive. I had anxiety about labor pre-pregnancy and the months of care and consultation I received going into labor was a huge contributor to helping me feel calm, confident and prepared when it was "go time". I knew I was in great hands, and had a terrific team with me. I can't say enough positive things about Nuture, and now understand why they came so highly recommended by friends. read more

I was referred to Nurture by a couple of different friends and am so glad that I found this place. I have never been to an OBGYN where I felt comfortable. However, it never really mattered to me because I was always in and out for my annual papsmear with no problems. It wasn't until I had an abnormal papsmear that I realized how important it was to find a place where I felt comfortable and trusting of the people working with me. After a negative experience with another location, I switched to Nurture and it was a God-send. Everything from phone conversations to personal interactions to the actual care exceeded my expectations. It went beyond quality customer service; there is a genuine care for patients and a relational aspect to what is offered at Nurture. Having "women problems" can be extremely stressful and scary. I am a high risk patient and had a wonderful natural birth thanks to Dr. Campaigne. When I found out she now had her own practice with Liane I jumped at the chance to follow her. I was originally a patient at OBGYN North, where I saw DR. Campaigne as well as Liane. Although I enjoyed OBGYN North, there was a personal touch missing. Nurture offers a personal twist to the OBGYN dynamic. Dr. C, Liane, and the rest of the staff at nurture want you to feel relaxed and comfortable. I have never left without having my questions answered or my worries calmed. Dr. C is very down to earth and all about helping you decide what is right for you and your baby. I can't say enough about the amazing experience we had with the whole team at Nurture during my first pregnancy, which was a high risk one. We we wanted to do everything as natural as possible still and we couldn't have asked for a better support team. I wish every woman can have such a collaborative and supportive care so I had to leave a review here. The doctors and staff are never in a rush and spent as much as needed to answer our questions and made sure we felt comfortable every step of the way. I always felt they had our best interest at heart and that they really cared, supported us through making tough choices that aligned with our values that were also safe for me and baby. During the delivery Dr. Kaufman felt like a midwife working seamlessly with the doulas we had, even though the labor was 15 hours long and not an easy one. She enable everyone to create an environment that was filled with powerful feminine energy that I needed to keep going. It was so amazing that I could focus and be coached through my labor because fully trusted my doctor. After the birth, I had a lot of challenges with breastfeeding and multiple mastitis. The postnatal care at Nurture continued to be the same kind of woman-centered experience. The team supported me through that with so much empathy. Dr. Campaign always had sage advise that supported me not just as a doctor but as a fellow woman and mother. I can't recommend Nurture enough! So thankful for the part they played in the birth of our beautiful healthy baby girl and if we try for a second we'll be back. read more

Nurture is wonderful. The OBs and midwives are fantastic. I love their approach to pregnancy and birth. It's so laid back. I've never had a late appointment with them and I've been seeing them for my pregnancy since September, and they have plenty of time to sit and chat with you. Their bill pay system is easy peasy. One of the best experiences I've ever had with a doctor's office. Updated 6/10/16: My son was born in April, and I had a fantastic experience. I was able to have a VBAC, and I can't thank Dr. Weidaw and Dr. Campaigne enough for making the birth a great experience, despite things not going completely smoothly. Throughout the pregnancy, birth, and recovery, the entire practice has treated me with nothing but respect, kindness, and compassion, and any problems encountered were dealt with calmly and matter-of-factly. I have been a patient of Dr. Campaigne's for 5 years now. She delivered both of my babies. SHE IS PHENOMENAL! I credit her for the most amazing labor and delivery of both of my girls. I had hoped and was able to deliver both of them naturally (and the second was 9.75 lbs at birth). She made it as easy as possible and inspired calm. Everyone at the office is exceptional. I love Dr. Ofobike, Liane, and Shawntai. I am always excited for my appointments and never feel rushed during the visit. Test results are discussed in a non-sensational way and explained so that I understood what they mean and feel comfortable moving forward. The new office is SO lovely. It is happy, bright, and fresh and immediately puts me at ease. Bottom line: I feel like I am treated lovingly and with respect by everyone at Nurture and I recommend the practice to all of my friends. read more

Nuture is amazing. These ladies are incredible. My husband and I feel so grateful and lucky that we were able to receive my pre-natal care and deliver our baby with these wonderful women. They are intelligent, caring, professional and reasonable. My baby was delivered by Liane Miller, CNM seven months ago. Liane is incredibly competent AND compassionate. This practice is what many women in Austin are looking for I think, the safety of a hospital delivery with experienced practitioners who are respectful, encouraging of and open to a more naturalistic approach. This is reflected in their c-section rate, which I believe is way below the national average. We also had a great experience with the nurses at NAMC. They were all very supportive of rooming-in, breastfeeding...etc...nobody made a single negative comment to us. Also, having experience with a larger practice, the small office was fantastic. We never waited more than ten minutes. The front staff were familiar with us and never messed up an appointment. Billing was accurate and never caused us a problem. I know many people focus solely on finding a philosophical fit with providers but the office enviroment is actually very important. It can make a world of difference in your stress level when you are already kind of stressed out quite frankly. Most of us are working full-time and so are our partners so having a practice that values your time and works to reduce your hassles is a huge advantage. I decided to come to ARC North Austin OB (previously Nurture) after having issues with the previous OB I was going to when I found out that I was pregnant. I had great care the entire time. I was planning for a regular vaginal delivery when my baby boy decided he wanted to stay breech. Since this was my first pregnancy, Dr. Campaigne discussed all options with me and we decided to go ahead and schedule a C section, which would be the safest option for my son and I. I was incredibly nervous about having a C section, but Dr. Campaigne made it an incredibly easy and made me feel safe. I ended up having her deliver my second baby via C section as well with the help of Dr. Ghosh. Dr. Campaigne reassured me and supported me all throughout the beginning of the pandemic helping me to have a safe delivery in these unprecedented times. I am healthy and have two healthy children because of her amazing work and her care for her patients. read more

I'd give 6 stars if I could. I've been with Nurture for the past year and just recently had my second son. The care, attention and love I felt, especially during my pregnancy, has been extraordinary. If you call to speak with a nurse, you speak to a nurse right away or within a reasonable amount of time. I never waited after checking in for more than 5-10 minutes in the waiting room (and usually less than that). Most importantly, whichever practitioner I saw on any given day had thoroughly read and reviewed my chart and medical record and was up to speed. I commend Nurture on practicing modern medicine with a humanizing dose of ethos. read more

They came highly recommended, but I believe that was when other providers were there. I went for a preconception appointment. The chairs in the waiting room were uncomfortable and worn out. I waited longer than I'd like, as did another woman in the office that morning. The exam room was hot and the music from the auto shop next door was annoying. The midwife I saw simply asked me what questions I had and asked nothing about myself. The lady was nice but I left disappointed with the lack of interest from her. I thought the whole point of the appointment was to get to know me and my history? Yeah that didn't happen. I won't be going back. read more

When you walk into the office you get a feel for what the practice is all about. It's comfortable and cozy with a snack dish, fruit (sometimes veggie) flavored water and simple decor. You won't see LCD TV's in all the rooms or an oversized, cold waiting area. The ladies that work here are kind and seem to genuinely care about everyone that comes into the practice. Liane and Dr Campaigne are two of the most amazing women I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. They compliment each other in so many ways and work really well together. They won't make you feel rushed and they will hear and remember everything you tell them. I found Dr Campaigne when I was 5 months pregnant with twins. The doctor I had been seeing suggested I find another doctor when he refused to let me attempt a vaginal delivery because baby B was breech. I searched Austin for 3 days trying to find someone willing to take me. When I went into labor Liane was there to greet me at the hospital. She didn't rush me to be admitted, or strapped to machines. She even gave me the option of returning home (5cm's dilated) to continue laboring on my own. The next morning Dr Campaigne broke my water and labor progressed rather quickly. They still allowed me to labor on my own without having to be confined to a bed. I was able to walk around and make myself comfortable. During delivery Dr Campaigne was nothing but supportive. She remembered everything I told her about problems with my previous deliveries and was always one step ahead. She coached me and encouraged me and never gave up on me. She even tried for what seemed like hours to help me deliver baby B vaginally, because she knew it was what I wanted. When I ended up having a c-section she was still amazing. I never experienced any pain. It's been 6 weeks and you can't even see the incision. Amazing! Liane has the voice of an angel. Just when I thought I couldn't go on, her voice brought me back and helped me keep going. These two ladies stand for everything that i believe. Women should be allowed to be in control of their own bodies while being surrounded by love and support. The two of them are such a great combination and complete each other making this the perfect practice for other women just like me. read more

Stop what you are doing. Switch ob/gyn to this practice. Drs. Campaigne and Ofobike, and Liann -- are women you want to be friends with, as well as completely skilled medical professionals. By the end of my pregnancy, I WAS friends with them, and truly felt like my family had been expanded not only by one healthy baby, but with these women, as well. In a society that prioritizes short doctor visits and doesn't incentivize any fostering of the doctor/patient relationship, this practice is a rare and beautiful exception. read more
