Fashion nova faded fleece sweater for 25.00

This place is so over priced. I use to shop for my kids clothes here years ago. I had not been here in maybe 10 years. I stopped by and I could not believe the prices. I was looking for frames and everything was over 10.00, used, old, smelly, faded... all of it is overpriced. All this stuff is donated, who's pricing these items?

Sweater I purchased from here for 3.99 selling for 39

AMVETS Thrift Store…read more This is a review for my experience shopping and donating at the AMVETS (American Veterans) Thrift Store. I enjoy shopping and donating to AMVETS. All of their proceeds support our American heroes, so please visit this location. AMVETS, Dept. of CA Service Foundation - Visit: www.amvetscasf.org LOCATION: It is located in a complex across the street from the Winco grocery store. There are plenty of parking spaces. HOURS 9AM-7PM DONATION: Hours of Operation for Donations: Everyday 9AM-7PM Towards the back of the building is the donation area. They are pretty accepting of anything you'd like to give. I usually put them in a garbage bag and they sort it themselves. Very easy! They DO NOT take: Baby items Bed frames Food Printers ***Ask for a donation receipt, so you can file it with your taxes. SHOP: The store is organized pretty well. Clothes are organized by color. They have shoes, blankets, art, books, electronics, and house items. The aisles are wide enough to skim through clothing with a cart. Enjoy the treasure hunt! You can find great clothes and brand name items here. The prices are awesome too! I would say $10 or less for most clothing pieces. PRICE TAGS: ***If your item does not have a tag, they cannot sell it to you. Honor their store policy and respect the employees. SERVICE: The cashiers were friendly and efficient. *All in all if you enjoy thrifting and finding one of a kind fashion, I recommend shopping at AMVETS. Not only are you supporting the local community, but you are investing in our American Veterans as well! Happy Shopping!

You're paying a bit more than you might at other places, but these items are cleaner and better curated for sure! They have a wide variety of items as well, and in all it was an enjoyable adventure. Highly recommend if you're in the area and looking for a vintage bargain. :)

Beacon House is this very large thrift store. Walking into it, you're immediately amazed at just…read morehow large it is and how much stuff they offer. Truly, they really have a lot of stuff! This thrift store is very well organized. Perhaps that's one of the most interesting things about it. They even have their clothing organized by size. So, this makes shopping for that vintage piece of clothing much easier. This is something that few other thrift stores do. And, it's really appreciated. Because, it makes the whole shopping experience, not only easier but more enjoyable. Beacon House has far more than just clothing, however. This shop is stuffed full of all kinds of everything else, from electronics, to kitchen goods, to musical items, to LPs, cassette tapes, pretty much anything you can think of, they've got something. As is the case with all thrift stores, the inventory at this business is constantly changing. So, going in here one day may be very different from going in the next day. You will never know what you're gonna find. And, that's what makes this business a really unique shopping experience. So, if you're one of those people that enjoy going to thrift shops, seeking out antiques, vintage items, discarded items that nobody really cared about, or pretty much anything else, this is a great place to go. Of all the thrift stores in the area, this is definitely one of the best.

If you're looking for the warm fuzzy feeling of donating, skip this location. The older lady who…read moreruns the donation center has been there for years, and her attitude hasn't changed one bit -- rude, condescending, and always acting like every single donor is ruining her day. This isn't a one-off bad mood, it's her entire personality. Instead of simply taking donations like every other Goodwill manages to do, she inspects everything in front of you with a look of disgust, sighing and huffing as if accepting clothes is beneath her. Newsflash: it's literally the job. And the petty behavior doesn't stop there -- I asked if there was a trash can for an item that clearly couldn't be donated, and she flat-out told me "no," even though one was right there in plain sight after a quick search . Honestly, what was the point of lying? That kind of pettiness is exactly why people walk away shaking their heads. If Goodwill doesn't want trash items, fine but that's part of the business. With every donation there will be some items that don't make the cut. That sorting should be handled off-site, or at the very least not in front of the person donating. People shouldn't have to stand there while someone with a bad attitude picks apart their things. Here's the bigger issue: donating isn't just people "getting rid of junk." Sometimes it's tied to loss, grief, or saying goodbye to a loved one's belongings. People come here trying to do something good, often while carrying heavy emotions. To be met with snide comments and visible annoyance? It's insulting. I've donated here before -- and every time, this same woman has had an attitude. Clearly, it's not an accident or a bad day; this is just how she treats people. Goodwill should either retrain her or move her out of customer-facing work, because she's the reason people leave this place feeling worse than when they came in. If you want to actually feel appreciated for giving, go elsewhere. This location is proof that Goodwill doesn't always mean good will. As a good person I will keep donating and due to convenience this location is faster for me but trust me when I say I will continue doing so with a smile perhaps not this location.
