The lady at the front didn't acknowledge me when I walked in even though I heard her interacting with everyone else. I just ignored it and went about my shopping. I saw some I liked but I didn't get them because I wanted to see if any other stores had ones that were a little closer to my set. I didn't, so I returned today because it was such a great deal. She acknowledged me this time but I could tell she was just forcing it. I went up to purchase the cups and was heading out when I stopped to look at some more tea cups right by the door. Well she walked up to me and asked me what I had. I thought she was just curious about what I'd ended up getting and said tea cups. She asked me where I was going with them, that I needed to purchase them. I was at a loss of words. Why would I be walking out of a store with a taped up box if I hadn't paid for it?!?! I even had the receipt in my hands. The lady that helped me with my purchase walked up and stated I'd paid for it already. I cried when I got into my car. I love visiting thrift stores because I loved antique/vintage items. Unfortunately, I may never know if it's because of my skin color but that was the vibe I got from the entire situation. I will never return, which is sad because someone had recommended this thrift store to me and they had a lot of cool items I would have loved to come back to check out.

Every shelf has something nostalgic, unexpected, or wonderfully random. I spotted old Duncan yo-yos, Mickey Mouse collectibles, vintage signs, John Wayne toilet paper, and about a hundred other things I've already forgotten. They even put water out for our dog, which instantly made us feel welcome. If you're grabbing coffee nearby, stop in afterward. Just don't expect to leave quickly. Come for the vintage finds, stay for the stories, and leave wondering whether you should've bought that one thing you'll be thinking about all week.
