I love this place!! It's in Gaslamp so parking might be hard. They have real all you can play for one fee. At the time it was $25. They increase the price if you want re-entry. I know sometime at night is for adults only. They do have a bar and food. Everything is free to play except the vending machines. They have all sorts of games from old to new with impressive decor. The wall art is really cool to check out. I highly recommend this place to go with kids or a night out with friends. You will have so much fun! read more

All-you-can-play arcade is a cool concept, and I wanted to like it, but the overall experience was mediocre. Positives: Nice staff, cool theming with neon graffiti murals covering every inch of wall, good variety of physical games, retro games, and rhythm games. Stronger focus on retro games though, as they comprise the majority. Negatives: Hot, broken, and sticky. Hot - Went during a summer evening and it is OPPRESSIVELY hot in there, especially in some of the smaller rooms upstairs lacking a fan. As a consequence, everyone is sweaty and it is literally humid indoors despite being in dry, dry San Diego. It is difficult to stay long and take advantage of the all-you-can-play when you are uncomfortable the whole time. Broken - A third of the games are out of order or broken enough to severely impact gameplay. They are in poor shape due to being treated roughly and insufficient maintenance. Sticky - Everything, and I truly mean everything, is covered in a layer of stickiness. The machines are not cleaned sufficiently regularly, and there is spilled drink and trash filled cupholders everywhere. Aside: Not a demerit to the arcade, but parking is also difficult since it's right by Petco Park. However if you are patient and a little lucky, you can street park for free nearby after 6PM all days of the week. Unless you plan to spam a niche Japanese rhythm game for 6 hours, take your $25 and put it toward a card at Round 1, perhaps their free play option if you want a similar all-you-can-play experience. I really would've liked more of a variety with the types of games they offered. I wasn't a fan of the drinks. They were weak, pricey, and kinda hard to drink. I'm came for my nephew's birthday and all the kids had a blast. Some caveats: - food and bar are simple. Pizza, fries, dogs, chicken tenders, wings. But it's good enough. There are lots of offerings nearby if you want something more sophisticated. - some of the games are a on the violent side. Nothing too crazy but be aware. - Not a ton of hangout spots. They need to have someone making sure kids don't come out and pay attention like chuckee cheese.. someone could have their kid kidnapped... they need to have seating downstairs and more seating and tables to eat for people who are paying customers even if no party room. Definitely a rip off. Servers were a bit rude. And less than friendly along with not being attentive. Considering they don't have much to do besides take your payment at the door and give you a terrible drink drowned in rubbing alcohol. We were visiting San Diego, looking for something fun to do on a bad weather day. My son told me he loves this place, so we thought we'd give it a try. I was so happily surprised at what a big, fun place it was, with a huge variety of games. It's in a downtown building with two floors full. Even though I'm in my 50s and not into typical video games, I spent hours having a blast. I did skeet ball, air hockey, lots of good pinball machines, and a rad dance arcade game I did over and over. Not only that, there were super fun 80's vintage games like Galaga and Centipede. The place was clean and in good condition, all the games were in working order and there was even hand sani available. There was a good variety of drinks available to buy, as well as kid type food like pizza and nuggets. We played for a few hours solid until I was tired! It was totally worth the $30 each to play unlimited games. Great place, I highly recommend and hope it stays around for a long time. read more

Cool 2 story floor arcade. Went on a Saturday night around 9pm and almost every game was being used. That it got kinda over whelming at some point. But i eventually found my way around and played a couple that weren't used. Loved Pac-Man, Galaga, ski ball, air hockey (etc) The upstairs section didn't have any ventilation. It was super hot up there idk if its cause there was so many people. I even tried to use the super Mario bros Nintendo room hooked up to a old Sony television that had two seats but were unfortunately being hogged up by these two people for a really long time after I waited a while too. I waited excitedly for Arcade Monsters to open when it was first announced. I have been a few times and still love the unlimited gameplay, theming, and fun vending machines. Unfortunately, this location is always extremely hot to where it's uncomfortable. Many games are in bad condition. There is very limited seating. Even when I booked a party room once, the set up was awkward and uncomfortable due to there being games set up on the eating surface. I can't comment on the food because I can't eat gluten and they don't have gf. I do like their slushies. I want to see them succeed in San Diego.
