The decor was insanely cool here! It was exciting just walking around and seeing everything. There was plenty of fun games, but also many were out of order. I really would've liked more of a variety with the types of games they offered. I wasn't a fan of the drinks. They were weak, pricey, and kinda hard to drink. Cool concept. Instead of the typical dave n busters deal, you pay a flat fee to get inside and play any game you want across two floors. I'm came for my nephew's birthday and all the kids had a blast. Some caveats: - food and bar are simple. Pizza, fries, dogs, chicken tenders, wings. But it's good enough. There are lots of offerings nearby if you want something more sophisticated. - some of the games are a on the violent side. Nothing too crazy but be aware. - Not a ton of hangout spots. This place is fun but a bit pricey and underwhelming. The slushees are good on their own but easily ruined by the cheap well alcohol they offer. For the price they can serve something better than tonka vodka at the very least offer svedka lol Games are cool but too many older games and not enough interactive ones for me and what you're paying. 59$ for 2 people to enter + 44$ for 2 drinks. Definitely a rip off. Servers were a bit rude. And less than friendly along with not being attentive. Considering they don't have much to do besides take your payment at the door and give you a terrible drink drowned in rubbing alcohol. We were visiting San Diego, looking for something fun to do on a bad weather day. My son told me he loves this place, so we thought we'd give it a try. I was so happily surprised at what a big, fun place it was, with a huge variety of games. It's in a downtown building with two floors full. Even though I'm in my 50s and not into typical video games, I spent hours having a blast. I did skeet ball, air hockey, lots of good pinball machines, and a rad dance arcade game I did over and over. Not only that, there were super fun 80's vintage games like Galaga and Centipede. The place was clean and in good condition, all the games were in working order and there was even hand sani available. There was a good variety of drinks available to buy, as well as kid type food like pizza and nuggets. We played for a few hours solid until I was tired! It was totally worth the $30 each to play unlimited games. Great place, I highly recommend and hope it stays around for a long time. read more

They need to have someone making sure kids don't come out and pay attention like chuckee cheese.. someone could have their kid kidnapped... they need to have seating downstairs and more seating and tables to eat for people who are paying customers even if no party room. It's cool they have kids there but have the parents have somewhere to sit and eat a snack or purchase food and drinks in peace and watch relax their kid. Cool 2 story floor arcade. Went on a Saturday night around 9pm and almost every game was being used. That it got kinda over whelming at some point. But i eventually found my way around and played a couple that weren't used. Loved Pac-Man, Galaga, ski ball, air hockey (etc) The upstairs section didn't have any ventilation. It was super hot up there idk if its cause there was so many people. I even tried to use the super Mario bros Nintendo room hooked up to a old Sony television that had two seats but were unfortunately being hogged up by these two people for a really long time after I waited a while too. My partner and I came here on a Sunday evening from 5:45PM-9:00PM. It is $25 for unlimited play, which is an amazing deal. We loved all the cartoon and video game artwork that covers all types of fandoms and interests, the bright neon colors, the different rooms you can explore with old school games, the variety of games, and so on. The layout of the place is a bit confusing and overwhelming. I wish all the different rooms had actual themes and signage, but a majority of the games are randomly placed throughout the building (some rooms were somewhat themed, but mostly not). We were feeling snack-ish, so we ordered the "chicken nuggies". When you enter, there's a bar you see immediately after you walk up the stairs. You can order here, or you can order with the host at the entrance (pretty confusing). They seemed understaffed yesterday so the bar did not have anyone for awhile, so we had to go to the entrance to order. After you order, they give you a buzzer to pick up your food. The location to pick up food is rather confusing. It's at the back of the arcade near the claw machines (nowhere near the bar). We asked the bartender and she was pretty short / rude in telling us where to go. So onto the "chicken nuggies".... It was supposed to be 10 pieces with 5 dipping sauces for $10. I was so disappointed by what we actually received. We received 10 extremely TINY pieces of half-burnt chicken with only 3 sauces. BE SO FOR REAL?? I should've complained, but I didn't have the energy for it. The service is basically nonexistent here. There is nobody walking around to help and the bartender was unfriendly and barely at the bar. I will say that the games are super fun and I love that there really isn't any "dying" as you just press "continue playing" even if you die lol. I wish there were more "horror games" as I only found one. I also wish there were actual prizes or incentives for these games, but it is truly all about enjoying yourself and the company you're with. It is overstimulating with bright colors and loud noises. There's so much to explore. The first floor has more 'traditional' arcade games like pinball, racing, basketball hoops, shooting games. The second floor is filled with lots of fun Japanese games, rhythm games, and retro games too. You could seriously spend hours in here! They serve basic food which I didn't try, and have boozy slushies. It did get kind of crowded towards 7-8pm. Great for a group, would love to come back in the future! Fantastic concept & they do have ALL the games! For $25 it's all you can play for hours on end across 2 large levels filled with games of all types and from all eras. Alcohol and snacks food like pizzas and giant pretzels keep you from straying outside. My favorite game was Sega's Where's Waldo--super nostalgic and lots of fun to enjoy 2 Player. Air hockey is always a nice break from staring at a screen, and if you are fluent in Japanese then you will be delighted by the amount of Japanese-only games (and if you're not, then you'll get a good laugh/challenge as you try to figure things out). Perhaps best of all is the fact that if you're not a hardcore gamer, for once you don't have to worry about bringing your teammate(s) down bc if/when you die right away, you can always just hit "Continue" and you're right back in the action like nothing happened. I waited excitedly for Arcade Monsters to open when it was first announced. I have been a few times and still love the unlimited gameplay, theming, and fun vending machines. Unfortunately, this location is always extremely hot to where it's uncomfortable. Many games are in bad condition. There is very limited seating. Even when I booked a party room once, the set up was awkward and uncomfortable due to there being games set up on the eating surface. I can't comment on the food because I can't eat gluten and they don't have gf. I do like their slushies. I want to see them succeed in San Diego.
