I called and got on the schedule to add a breaker. When no one showed up they said that it didn't get on the schedule and sent one guy out to look at the job. This was on Friday. He said he needed two guys and would put it on the schedule for Monday. When no one showed on Monday I called and they again forgot to put it on the schedule. They did 3 things for me. 1. Installed a GFI in an outlet. 2. Replaced a light in the dining room. 3. Replaced a ceiling fan in a living room with vaulted ceilings. The problem is the fan blades are only 6" from the ceiling when after I did research after discovering they should be 18" minimum from the ceiling. I called the owner and the manager came out and said he saw no problem. He was actually rude with me and argued he could feel the air from the fan. Also, the electrician took the original box the fan came in so I cannot return it. My point: a qualified electrician should have known that immediately. I'm not an electrician. Use someone else. Thank you, Archer Electric Service! I had an outlet arc out in the middle of the night on Friday, which caused the entire bedroom to shut down (no lights, no fans, etc). I dealt with it over the weekend, thinking that I could fix it myself. After trying - and seeing the damage to the outlet - I knew I needed a professional. Archer wasn't my first choice, because honestly, I've not heard of them. I called two other more well-known electric companies in the area, but they couldn't even come out for two weeks. When I called Archer on Monday afternoon, they were available to come out the next morning! They said they'd be there between 8:30 and 9am, and they showed up at about 9:02, which is still great! They came in, fixed the outlet and finished, all within an hour! They were quick and courteous, too. And, the best part, they didn't charge me an arm and a leg for a simple service. The nice & professional electrician came to my house to install a ceiling fan. He went out of his way to make sure it was done right. It turned out I had a broken wire in my wall and he tracked it down and fixed it. So now my fan works great. He showed up on time and the cost for the job was very reasonable. We used this company three times and were very satisfied. All three jobs were relatively small. We recently asked them to look at doing another job which would have been the biggest they had done for us and may have led to a couple of more projects. They promised 3 times to set up an appointment before or after Christmas and never called. We said there was no rush on getting job done just needed an estimate. A larger competitor had no problem coming out to a "new" customer even when they were busy. 2 stars for dishonesty. If you are too busy..say so. read more

Do not use this company! They were slow to make an appointment to come to my home. They came much later than they agreed to. Their workers were very rude, unfriendly, slow, and expensive. When I asked about the itemization of the bill, which was high, all I got was a one word answer, "Labor". I have tried to reach the owner to discuss this terrible experience, but he has not returned my calls. I realize that not everyone gets along with everyone, but in over 30 years in Gainesville, this is the first time i have every had an issue with a company, and the first time I have ever given a company a review, let alone a bad one! I have used this company in the past with good results and I even have recommended them to my family and friends. However not any more. There must have been a recent management change. I made an appointment 1 week in advance with a no show. I took time off from work and waited when I tried to call or email no one would respond or answer the phone. read more
