The reason I started with that is because…read morejust this past Tuesday I cooked my last of 2 roast, that I bought along with a tenderloin filet, a pound of boneless chicken breast and 4 pounds of ground beef. It had been some time since I finished off the last of the ground beef. I buried my last roast in my freezer under other frozen items and forgot about it. A week ago I had to purge much of the foods in my freezer and rediscovered the roast. So I decided I should cook it. When I opened the wrap containing my roast, I was delightfully surprised! Not only was it not showing any signs of discoloration, rotting smell or freezer burn, it was blood red as if I had just purchased it. I cooked it low and slow in my oven and after five hours I added the vegetable. It was amazing and delicious. It was just a 2 pounds of chuck roast. I ate it 4 days in a row finishing it off. Honestly, I wished there was more. The purpose of my share is; not only are the butchers friendly, swift and kind. The meat, every bit was absolutely pure, no processing, no Mc Donald type slurry added, no fillers, just REAL, GOOD, QUALITY MEAT. Worth every penny. It's easy to see why the comments and ratings, before mine are mostly five stars (you can literally see the 5 stars busting at the seams) and raving about the service, the quality and freshness. Just like meat was as I was growing up and the way all meat should be. If you're new, or reviewing Banters before shopping them. I highly recommend their shop. Go in and buy one item and see for yourself. You'll be glad you did. We all deserve meat that is healthy, delicious and nutritious, like what we grew up eating. So... "what are you waiting for"? I just finished making out with Turchetti's pulled pork sandwich, their smoked Turketti sandwich, and a big pile of tallow fries, and now we're all going steady. These sandwiches were the perfect size, I was able to eat them like normal (meaning not having to eat them in layers because they're too tall), and they were honestly the best sandwiches I've eaten in Indy. My husband, who shared half of each sandwich with me, also said that both sandwiches were the best thing he's eaten in Indianapolis, period. We were both in a Turchetti's-induced trance after eating. Amazing, amazing food comes out of the Turchetti's kitchen. The pulled pork sandwich is what most impressed me. It has zero sauce on it, but yet it's the juiciest, most flavorful pulled pork sandwich I've ever had. You know how pulled pork sandwiches are usually dry? And how you need to add sauce to them or else risk choking? Not this one. Turchetti's pulled pork doesn't need sauce, and in fact, sauce would ruin it. Sauce would overshadow the mustard seeds and other flavors that are going on. They literally have the most juicy pulled pork I've had. The sandwich comes with housemade pickles and red onions, which are the best accompaniments to this perfect sandwich. Anyway, I just thought I'd let you all know this information. I just got back from Turchetti's and had to update my review, because to let my original review -- with its four stars -- linger on Yelp any longer would be a disservice to Turchetti's. I think everyone else knew that Turchetti's deserved five stars, but I can be dumb sometimes, but I'm self-aware enough to know when I made a mistake, so I have that going for me.
