Gas was dry and cold, had no flavor and had to go to the hospital. But great napkins!

DO NOT BUY GAS AT VALERO/BUTLER MKT STORE (Bend, OR)…read more I am posting this because I know for a fact where/when this happened. I had just replaced my fuel filter and always check out the old one. I usually purchase gas at the south Chevron, but I purchased a full tank of fuel from the Valero/Butler Mkt. Store on S HWY 97 across the street from Wendy's. Almost instantly the car began running very VERY rough, I was lucky to get home. Had to drive it two more days that way before I was able to get a mechanic to look at it and the first thing he said/did, was ask me where I got fuel. I told him usually Chevron, but got it this time at Valero. He instantly said let's change the fuel filter. I said I had just done that like 5 days ago. He said humor me (Like he KNEW). When he emptied the fuel filter into a cup, it had a TON of metal shavings in it and what at first appeared to be a giant piece of skin, but we think it was some kind of plastic. I was like wtf? He said, this happens when the pumps are getting worn out. Well....the last thing I need are metal shavings and plastic running thru my fuel lines. Just thought I would let ya'all know in case you have experienced this, because it sure did seem like my mechanic had seen it before and like he instantly knew it when I told him where I got fuel. SO....after I got the tank almost empty, I replaced the filter again and got fuel at the Chevron and guess what? Car is running just fine now. Hope this helps anyone out......OH PLUS...they charge more for using your card. Chevron has same price as their CASH PRICE....

In the 16 years I've been filling up here I have only had two incidents where the attendants were…read morerude. Today is as the one that means I will not go back there. I pulled up and noticed they were pretty busy, and started the process of entering in my data into the pump. A short time passed with attendants walking by without assisting me, so I began pumping myself since it appeared they were too busy to help. Once I did that, a young man decided to confront me about it and when I informed him I was trying to be helpful since they appeared busy - he scowled and began behaving like he was angry and became confrontational about the situation. He continued to press the issue with me, and then decided to pull the nozzle and tell me to leave. He then decided he would take a photo of my license plate and then proceeded to tell me to get my "beat up ass truck" out of there, and he was going to make sure I couldn't get gas there again. As I was trying to leave to he continued his harassment from across the station and at that point I took a photo of him which then triggered another employee to get involved and they both continued to attempt to intimidate me with a show of force. I will be sending the photo and this review to whomever operates that station. It's a bummer because I really like a few of the people who work there and have become friendly with them over the years.
