We cancelled 60 days prior to our youngest started school in September, but lost two months worth of tuition deposit, which was $1,540. We explained our situation to the director, Damita Robinson, that we had to cancel due to our PCS to a different state, but she gave zero refund simply saying that she cannot deviate from the contract. They do not have a prorated refund policy. If you cancel after a certain date, you will lose all of your deposit. In my honest opinion, the school's cancellation policy is unjust and unethical. Why did I have to lose all of $1,540 for no school attended? It disheartens me to only give 3 stars to a school that our three kids loved so much.

We had a meeting scheduled for the following wednesday to discuss progress/concerns but instead the owner thought it was best to send me an email on saturday instead to tell me how she has decided to immediately terminate my son's enrollment, two months into the program. I'm sure everyone has a different experience but here is mine and i wont recommend this center to another family looking for childcare in the area.

Like a number of childcare facilities there has been quite a few teachers who have come and gone. However, I know there are still quality teachers there. Ms. Simret, Ms. Judy, Ms. Toni, Ms. Genie, and Ms. Vanessa, are all teachers I've had personal experience with and hope Greenwood is doing all they can to keep them there. There was a recent merger with Sunny Days, so hopefully this helps with teacher stability as well. I know Sunny days had teachers who had been with the facility for quite some time. My children learned and thrived while they were here and still talk about Greenwood. Overall, I think it's a great facility with the chance to be greater. Federal employees have preference here with general community members without a child currently enrolled there being last in order preference. Suzanne, the director is a warm and caring leader and these characteristics are passed down to the staff. My son has always felt at home at this center. When we moved and he started Kindergarten, instead of attending summer camp at his new school and closer to our new home, he asked to go back to Kindercare in Hanover for summer camp. The summer program was filled with activities and numerous field trips to keep the children engaged and ensure a fun filled summer! Although the center did experience a period of staff transition, the director worked diligently to ensure minimal impact to the children. This was not something the staff/director could control so it would be unfair to hold them responsible. The leadership at the center will listen to any concerns shared, and will get to know your child and ensure their needs are met. They supported us in throwing two amazing birthday parties for our son at the center. Years later he still speaks fondly about these great experiences. He was also able to make great friends while he attended Kindercare in Hanover. Due to a military move, we had to leave the center, but were very sad to leave. Adeeba repeatedly dismissed their professional advice, insisting my daughter had Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (HFMD) despite multiple doctors explicitly stating otherwise. She also claimed Annapolis Pediatrics was unreliable, stating she frequently called the health department on them. This forced us to make unnecessary doctor visits, consult a dermatologist, and repeatedly adjust our schedules to meet Adeeba's arbitrary demands, even when supported by medical documentation. 2. The communication was terrible - we never knew what was going on in class, who the teachers were, or why teacher after teacher and assistant director after assistant director were there one day and gone the next. The activities in the fancy lesson plans they send you weren't followed (for example, they almost never went outside), the teachers were unhappy, and I've never witnessed a manager yell at their staff like I did at drop off at Goddard. It got to the point that we couldn't trust what anyone was saying about our kiddos care and we left at that point. As first time parents we didn't know that 6 months of our kid being miserable at drop off wasn't normal, we feel really lucky that we left Goddard and are settled at a place where drop off and pick up are an ease, communication is regular, and the teachers love our kiddo.
