Sona is truly a child whisperer in the way that she is able to meet children exactly where they are and lead them into their most amazing selves. The activities she engages them in fosters independence and real world transferrable skills that are evident when the kids are outside of school/care. Transitioning my son to elementary school was an absolute breeze and I whole heartedly believe that is largely in part due to Sona's investment in my child. Notably, the support, guidance, and patience she demonstrated during the COVID-19 shutdown was immeasurable. My child understood masking, germs, and protecting self and others which is wildly impressive for a then two year old who's world changed over night. Both of my children have routinely hit developmental milestones on time or ahead of schedule in an organic and supported manner. Oh and I forgot to mention, the kids get exposed to organic local produce that they learn to grow responsibly and sustainably in Sona's personal garden. Despite this, he was given only a few days to acclimate before being sent home, briefly allowed back after a meeting, and then dismissed entirely -- without a reasonable adjustment period or meaningful accommodations. His twin sibling was allowed to remain enrolled. During one meeting, the owner, Melvise Powell, yelled at my husband and me and abruptly told us to leave her office. We also became aware that another individual appeared to be listening in via the office phone without our knowledge, which raised serious concerns under Maryland's two-party consent law. When this was pointed out, the meeting was immediately ended and we were ordered out. Additionally, our daughter later reported that an employee would pinch her when she did not nap, which we found extremely alarming and concerning. ADHD is a recognized disability under the ADA, and excluding a child without attempting reasonable accommodations -- combined with unprofessional conduct and concerning reports about staff behavior -- raises serious concerns. Based on our experience, the owner was extremely rude and unprofessional, and families should steer clear of this school!!

Suzanne, the director is a warm and caring leader and these characteristics are passed down to the staff. My son has always felt at home at this center. When we moved and he started Kindergarten, instead of attending summer camp at his new school and closer to our new home, he asked to go back to Kindercare in Hanover for summer camp. The summer program was filled with activities and numerous field trips to keep the children engaged and ensure a fun filled summer! Although the center did experience a period of staff transition, the director worked diligently to ensure minimal impact to the children. This was not something the staff/director could control so it would be unfair to hold them responsible. The leadership at the center will listen to any concerns shared, and will get to know your child and ensure their needs are met. They supported us in throwing two amazing birthday parties for our son at the center. Years later he still speaks fondly about these great experiences. He was also able to make great friends while he attended Kindercare in Hanover. Due to a military move, we had to leave the center, but were very sad to leave. I appreciate her open communication with any concerns or insights she had on helping with our daughter. All the kids get along really well and have a sense of community. My daughter really learned a lot through the weekly themed lessons Miss Gina plans for them, which are very interactive. She makes sure to include sensory, imaginative and creative play and lessons for the kids. My only regret is not finding Miss Gina sooner! Sadly are only leaving as my daughter is going to kindergarten or else she would stay there longer. We will miss taking my daughter to Little Lambs but will forever remember the time we had there!

We had a very disappointing experience with this Kiddie Academy location…read more Before enrolling, we were very clear that our son has an IEP and requires his IEP team to come into the daycare to provide services. We specifically asked if this would be an issue and were told it would not be. Based on that assurance, we paid the enrollment fees for both of our children, with a start date of 12/8. After payment and after setting up a shared email at the school's request, Kiddie Academy informed us of new requirements for specialists entering the building, including a background check through the school and a medical report. These requirements were never disclosed prior to enrollment. As a result, our son's IEP team informed us they could not provide services at this location due to the requirements imposed. Because our son could not receive legally required services, we were forced to withdraw both children. To make matters worse, the school also changed our start date from 12/8 to 12/15 without consulting us. We contacted the school multiple times requesting a refund since we enrolled based on information that turned out to be incomplete or misleading and no services were ever provided. Our concerns were not adequately addressed. Families with children who have special needs should ask very detailed questions and get everything in writing before enrolling. Transparency and communication were extremely lacking in our experience

In particular, the director, Kaela, has been responsive, approachable, and genuinely invested in building strong relationships with families. She has taken the time to listen to concerns, make herself available when needed, and even helped establish a parent partnership group (similar to a PTO), which has been a meaningful way for families to stay engaged and connected. Like any organization, occasional issues may arise, but in our experience, the leadership team has handled matters professionally and with care. Some concerns (such as those related to voucher programs) may be tied to broader administrative systems rather than the on-site leadership. I have great relationships with many family members, and have never had issues making my payments, via the Daycare Family Works app. We can tell that Kaela and the leadership team prioritize and value family partnerships: this is why they have connected parents together through family days, created summer camps, spirit weeks, and a parent partnership group. I plan to be a part of the Primeron family until my child ages out! Overall, we feel supported, valued, and confident in the care our child receives. We appreciate the dedication of the staff and leadership team and are grateful to be part of this community.

We had them enrolled in the Primeron for almost two years and never had a bad teacher. The rating is purely for the administration. Before the Primeron got acquired by Cadence Education, we never had any issues with the administration. We used a military subsidy and the director and assist director were always very transparent and helpful. After the acquisition, there was a change in directors and at the end was Kaela. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional director in all the schools my children have been in. Maybe she didn't agree with how the center was run prior to her arrival but saying to a parent that they were "lied on" and that the old admin "played in your face" is completely unacceptable. My main issue was when we unenrolled our youngest. Our subsidy payments were always late and as such we usually got back paid. Not an issue except when we unenrolled and had to get the credit refunded to us. I originally asked the assistant director to get our refund in the form of a check instead of original form of payment. This was because the original form of payment was a paid off credit card. We were informed only the director could initiate the refund as a check. It took weeks for us actually speak to the director as emails were not replied to and she was supposedly never in when we call. It took even longer to receive this refund and at the end, it was refunded to the paid off credit card instead of as a check like we asked. There was also disagreement and confusion as to what the refund amount was. We were different numbers from the subsidy, the admin at the Primeron, as well as a different number than what showed on our online account portal. While there was confusion and while we acknowledged that this was not anyone's fault, the director accused us of looking for more money than we were owed. We repeatedly informed her that there would be another subsidy payment and that was the reason the number we had was higher (we did not know that it had not been sent at the time). I asked that they informed us when this payment came through. All of that happened in September of 2025. Come February 2026, I called to get tax information. It was a surprise when we got our account summary and saw that we had an account credit of $1000. As it turns out, the Primeron had received the final subsidy payment in December of 2025 but made no attempt to let us know. Had we not asked for our tax information I doubt we would have ever found out. Through this process I asked to speak to a higher up, such as an area or regional manager, since the director barely returned emails or phone calls. This request was repeatedly ignored. Throughout emails, she only ever addressed half of the issues. For example, in our most recent conversation she focused on the fact that she was not in control of how fast we got our refund. When in reality the issue was the lack of communication and rudeness when we asked for updates. The way the director had addressed our family had been absolutely unprofessional and rude. It is unacceptable to accuse us of trying to get more money when we were asking for the credit we were owed. Furthermore to not notify us of the positive balance in our account for months after they received it. Again, the teachers and childcare workers are superstars and we loved how they were with our children. I wish I could use them again for care such as summer camp as it was an amazing experience for my children. It is a shame that their hard work is overshadowed by a rude and incompetent administration. All of my grievances have been relayed to the director but other families should be warned. I doubt that we were the only ones who had these issues. If you are a current family, double check your accounts and get your money.

Unlike my oldest (who's now 12), my littles is one that is always up to something and getting into something, so it was important to find a place that would really have that extra special watchful eye. We saw signs for one opening soon and we met with Kelly and loved what we heard, so we signed up. We started here when they opened in late October,2022. From the start, my daughter absolutely loved it despite drop-off at the beginning not being so smooth with her. Her first teachers Colleen and Riley really helped her with becoming acclimated and comfortable with being there. This entire staff is amazing and it truly feels like they genuinely care for my child. We get daily updates on what's happening during her day and even pictures. She's learning so much and they have so much patience with her, she's quite the overactive child. She loves coming as she learns so much, always something going on. Honestly, we could not have chosen a better place... it doesn't feel like a daycare but like family is taking care of my kid. We are unfortunately leaving at the end of next month due to job relocation, and I really worry I won't find a place just as wonderful and caring as Celebree Elkridge. I don't know if I'll find the same care and attention, most important the tranquility I have knowing THEY are the ones caring for my baby, when we move and seek a new daycare school. The fact that I am even writing a review should tell you lots because I'm not one to, but with this place I truly feel they deserve it!

Over the year, our daughter has graduated from the NICU follow up clinic and Infants and Toddlers Program because she is developmentally on target for a three year old. I attribute her ongoing development to the daily lessons/activities she receives at Happy Sprouts. Each week she brings home a stack of activities and learning tools shes completed in class. The staff is wonderful and treat all the children as their own. We are so glad we found this gem within our community without paying private school/Montessori prices.
