At Arco Iris, I somehow tried both one of the best and worst tortas I've ever had. The delicious and flavorful torta was the lomo or pork torta with lettuce, onion, tomato, and mayo. The pork was moist, well-seasoned, chewy, unforgettable, and eaten way too soon because it was so delicious. Unfortunately, the pollo (chicken) torta was dry, unsavory, and uneventful. It was just a hunk of unappetizing breaded chicken in a torta with lettuce and tomato. I also tried a mango licuado, which was refreshing and delicious. I'd definitely like to try more of their licaudos. It's hit or miss with the tortas you try here. However, the interior is nice and the staff was very friendly. read more

The BEST licuados in Oxnard! Guava is my favorite followed by the strawberry. The fruits are always so fresh! Be sure to try a torta as well, I love the Jamon torta. I always stop here when traveling through Oxnard and ALWAYS receive the best and freshest juices! I normally get a strawberry watermelon juice and it is the perfect thirst quencher after a hot day. Our choices for our first visit... *ENSALADA DE FRUTAS - ENERGETICO: This is a fresh fruit salad topped with cottage cheese, coconut shavings, chopped pecans, & honey. Fresh fruit includes papaya, bananas, red apples, watermelon, cantaloupe, and pineapple, all perfectly ripened. Never liked cottage cheese, but geez, it is so good with this Mexican delight... YUMMY! ;) *LICUADOS - GUANABANA: Pronounced LEE-QÚA-DOS, these are Mexican smoothies made with milk. Guanabana, a.k.a. Cherimoya, a.k.a. Soursop, tasted spot on! I love coming here.. it's usually with my sister. It's a little divey and a hole in the wall, but we both enjoy the food. Also, the liquados are tasty and huge! My favorite flavor is strawberry. My favorite dishes are the ceviche tostada and the cheese torta. The portions are generous and I always leave full. Usually, your order comes out pretty fast here and they take credit card. I ordered two tortas of headcheese, when I got home there was no avocado and no jalapeños. I called to tell them that my tortas where incomplete. The lady that answered the phone told me that they had ran out of them. Asked why did you not tell me that? Very bad customer service. Had to argue with the associates to get what I needed. As if they were trying to pick an argument . Very rude.

Called in a phone order for a simple jamón torta and 2 licuados. When I got there to pay they said my order wasn't ready. Ok didn't think much of it but the lady after me ordered hers to go as well. Apparently her complicated order was ready. Wrong, the man whom was making the tortas attempted 3 different times to give her the wrong order every time. Meanwhile the cashier just stood around and could have had the drinks ready or at least start them. Meanwhile the owner was sitting at the table making some goodie bags.
