They spent more money adding TVs to each pump instead of having decent pumps. Also the credit card payment screen is doin too much and asks for authorization at every step. Brand new ARCO station on the corner of Long Beach Blvd with a nice structural design :) I like getting gas in here because there's a lot of space for the cars to go around, back up and to wait. Some of the cheapest gas in Long Beach! This new station is large and easily situated at the corner of Long Beach Blvd and Wardlow, directly next to the 405 NB entrance. My favorite feature? Being able to pay outside with cash or card. Leave that long walk and use the quick pay machine. read more

It always bug me that the terminal receipt is always down. The machine tells you to try another terminal so you walk on the other side only to find out it's down as well. Total waste of time having to go in and see the cashier to get your receipts. This is part reason why it takes forever to get gas here. There's a fee of .35 cents to use the ATM but if you want to pay cash, it won't take large bills. So whenever I use this place, I always go in and pay cash, fill up and get my change and receipt inside. However today I was in a hurry so I used the ATM terminal and sure enough, both machines didn't have receipts. I went in and told the attendant and all I got was a rude response. Great gas prices so tends to get super busy. There is hardly ever a time that this station is empty, go figure. I have good experiences here but my trip yesterday was crazy. About 4 pumps were out of order, only marked with small pieces of yellow tape so you didnt notice until pulling up and getting out. I waited about 20 minutes just to get to a pump. But again for the prices, waiting is necessary i suppose. read more

The attendants are rude. They do a shift change at night but put no sign up so people are just waiting. No I'm sorry for the wait, such short answer with no explanation. Don't be fooled by the sign either. You only get the lowest price if you are getting a car wash. Find another Arco! read more

This ARCO location is a hit or miss in terms of service. During any given moment, there may be a full lot of cars, and then completely dead the next second. The gas prices here are fairly cheap here, which probably causes the traffic hold ups most of the time. It is conveniently near the 405 freeway, so if your headed towards the greater LA or south bay area, its a great gas station to fill up for the prices offered. There is an inside snack store for major snack items and a restroom. This location even has a drive-thru car wash (with decent prices) and even gives you discounts on gas if you use the car wash. The staff is nice, but one of the workers has a strong accent and is hard to communicate with. I gave this ARCO location a 3-star based on unexpected traffic hold ups. Now I will say that the has here is super cheep. HOWEVER it's absolutely wrong that u cannot ever use yr debit card at the pumps. They are constantly broken and u hav to go inside. It's been months since they hav been broken. I hav asked the employees severl times when they will be fixed and they said prob never. No fault of there own they don't own the business. Just horrible ~ twice now I have walked in to pay for gas and was hit with "We're doing a "shift change" and there won't be any gas for 10-15 minutes..they need to fix the outside machines so you don't even have to go inside !!! Whoever the owner is I would be upset b/c this gas station is ALWAYS busy, it's conveniently located off the 405 + 710 interchange !! The gas seems fine enough - but beware of the worst drive in car wash in the area. Grime and dirt still cover my car. I paid for the wheel cleaning, and they dont look anything like clean. Its a total scam. read more

We came for a car wash and they give you three options $5 $7 and $9. You either pay inside or at the machine before you enter. Here's the catch, if you pay at the machine, it has to be exact cash! No card and no change. At least there's a timer of the dryer because usually some do not have it leaving you with no clue on when to pull forward. read more

I came on a Saturday for a quick car wash and there was a line...I had to wait 20 minutes for my turn. Also the car wash only accepts cash.

A great option for our trip down to San Diego, as the station is relatively close to the freeway, but far enough away from it that it seems to have to make the prices really competitive. Way cheaper then any other station near home for us... read more

I spent over a half an hour at this gas station filling up 11 gallons. The slowest damn pumps ever. I was trying to use the air pump it absolutely sucks, literally I got less air thanI started with. it's a beautiful gas station but what a pain in my ass. Never again!!!! read more

Very RUDE CASHIER NAMED MOE!!! I recently visited this location at 3401 Long Beach Blvd, Long Beach, CA where I approached the cashier, Moe about purchasing gas and a car wash. I pumped my gas and returned to the counter to ask why I had not been credited my 10c per gallon that comes with a purchase of a car wash at this location. Upon my initial purchase Moe neglected to inform me that the credit would be returned on my card after the transaction. When I asked him, he was very abrupt and rude, stating, "Did you look at your receipt? yea, then you should see how much per gallon it is." I responded alerting him that when I looked at my receipt and divided the total purchase by gallons, it equaled the regular price per gallon and no discount was given. He was very rude and kept saying look at the receipt but would not explain the math to me. At this point, I became upset and was offended because I was not rude, nor disrespectful. I simply wanted him to explain how the transaction was done. I told him that there was no reason to be rude to me and he said he had every reason because he had explained it to me three times. At this point I asked for the managers/owners name and phone number and he said he did not have it. I asked for the phone number to the store and he said it was on the receipt if I wanted it. I looked at the receipt which had a generic number of 1234567890. I asked him for the correct number at which time he ran it off speedily. When I asked him for it again, he said no I'm not giving it you. I asked the other cashier Katyia who gave me the phone number. As I stood in the store documenting the incident, Moe then said "Hope you have a better day. maybe you should take some calculus classes." At this point, not only had I been insulted and unjustly mistreated, the other cashier, Katyia, did nothing to help or stop Moe from his continued ridicule in front of other customers. I felt victimized and attacked for no reason. As a frequent customer of Arco gas stations, I would expect better customer service. I would also expect the manager/owner to have better discernment when hiring workers who work directly with the public. I was truly appalled and surprised by how a simple question could make a person, Moe, be so unnecessarily rude and direspectful. read more

Definitely one of the worst customer service ever. Went there to get a car wash and their drying system seems to not like my car. The first time I took it for the car wash the dryer stayed on for at least 10 seconds. And not even the front of my car was dried so I told the clerk and he gave me another slip to get another car wash so I tried it out again. Second time same thing happened. So I, pissed already went up and told him that the same thing happened and he told me that I was doing something wrong. I told him excuse me, obviously there is something wrong with the machine not me. I mean it would have been my fault the first time but the second time seriously. So I tried to ask for a refund and he said that he can't do that and that he's being nice enough to give me a 3rd voucher. Um no if your machine doesn't work correctly do not blame it on your customers. So I just took the slip and walked away. Definitely not bringing my car there for a wash. Never ever again. read more

Lets see, where should I begin? This place is by far the WORST gas station in Long Beach. Of all the 15 pumps about 4 of them actually work. Worst of all, do not and I repeat DO NOT use the car wash! It is the crumiest cleaning contraption I have ever seen. I used it and it messed up my tires and brakes. Ever been threaten with physical violence by a gas station attendant? I did today by an employee named Francisco, there was a dispute with the car wash. I put my code in and proceeded forward as the machine instructed. I pulled forward and nothing, backed up rolled through again and nothing nadda. So I drove around front and told Mr tough guy that I machine wasn't working and he looked at me like I was stupid and said "nah I just checked it about 30 minutes ago and it's fine" I told him to come out to look at it and he proceeded to go around and look at and my luck the car behind me is in the wash (probably mine) so he gives me this look like I'm a moron and I told him to just give me my receipt (he took it in the store to check the code) and he just tossed it in the trash. I said to him "why did you do that?" He then proceeded to take off his glasses and say "what are you going to do about it? I will beat your ass". I was in no mood to throw down with a gas station attendant about a $5 car wash, so I got his name and told him you should look for a new job son.
