I wasn't even shopping for outdoor plants, but it was clear they have a huge variety if you are. It's the kind of place where you walk past section after section and keep thinking, "Oh wow... they have that too?" They also have a great selection of pots, so it's dangerously easy to convince yourself you need "just one more plant" because you already found the perfect pot for it. Definitely a fun place to explore if you love plants... or if you accidentally keep becoming a plant person.

Jalon was wealth of knowledge in regard to the saguaros health. Unfortunately I got the bad news that it wasn't looking good for my cactus. However, Old Pueblo Cactus offers removal service and they sell a large variety of cacti as a replacement. Jalon, the field service manager offered us different options at different price points for something to go in its place. They can place extremely large saguaros (with multiple arms) either by truck or crane if it is in a difficult to access area. They will arrange the crane service and take care of everything. We may have underestimated how much time then saguaro had, And it ended up falling over on its own, almost like it knew we were planning a removal! So, we actually didn't not end up having to cut it down. They have a beautiful nursery and holding lot with very healthy specimens to choose from.

The staff was friendly and responsive, and happy to help while I was looking around. One of the highlights was definitely the koi ponds--they were really cool to watch, and spotting the turtle hanging out with the koi was an unexpected bonus. They also have a nice variety of pots and plant accessories, so it's easy to find everything you need in one stop. Great plants, great atmosphere, and even some entertaining aquatic roommates. Definitely worth a visit!

We randomly stumbled onto this store while on a day trip down to Tucson. The "Weird Plants" sign…read morethey had on the sidewalk in front of their store drew us in, it was a last minute decision to pull in and check it out on the way to our actual destination. I am glad we stopped in! They had a fantastic selection of plants along with a wide variety of needs like soils, grow lights, pots and more. The prices were great as well, both my mother and I ended up buying several plants and my mom even had a few planted in store as they had a deal where if you bought a plant & a pot, they would repot the plant into the pot for you. They also sold Koi fish in different sizes for anyone looking to start a pond in their yard. We live up in Phoenix, but this store would be worth the drive to go down and visit to pick up some more plants when we are looking for them. Our plants made it back on the trip perfectly fine & they still look fantastic. I can't wait to see their growth, and I will be trying out an indoor plant fertilizer I bought at Ecogro to help some of my other indoor plants flourish as well. The nursery states "open" but is blocked by several large trucks with hitched trailers. I had a hard time finding an entrance to the grounds and when I did, I couldn't tell if I was in a nursery or a construction zone. The lot was empty with little hills of rocks and tractors. There were some outdoor plants, but very sparse and not healthy looking. I couldn't find where the indoor plants were and I wandered the property for a solid five minutes before I gave up and left. Never saw another person or worker. Odd experience, will not be back.

We were still browsing all of the beautiful, well-cared for plants and sent him on his way. About 10 minutes later, we had some questions about specific varieties and waved him down. He was happy to help us and very knowledgeable. Plants selected, we saw two pots we might want to purchase, but price tags had gone missing. The team member tracked down the price for them and, when we decided to purchase them, loaded them onto our cart. Checkout was a breeze, and the same helpful team member helped load everything in to our car. The lovely Julia Child roses now are next to my patio in the pretty pots. We were given thorough care instructions, and I anticipate enjoying their beautiful scented blooms all season.

I also got a lovely basil plant. He has a great selection of herbs, including some pots in which you can get several herbs together. He also has a wide array of succulents and other decorative plants, as well as decorative rocks and crystals. Drew was very knowledgeable and kind! I'll definitely be back for more plants (and advice!) in the future!
