This Goodwill store is a nice size, not too big nor too small. It smells like mothballs just like any other Goodwill.. so it feels like stepping into your long dead grandmothers closet.. ah memories. What I did find a little annoying was the way the clothing was organized and priced. The t-shirts etc are grouped by color and not size, which can be a time waster while perusing the racks. Also, having a flat rate of $5 for each t-shirt is a little disingenuous since some of the T-shirts are worth 99c max, whereas few if any would be worth more than $5. Other than that, my experience was a good one.. Just remember to bring your own shopping bags since they don't provide those.

Every time I have ever been in this store, only shopping for shoes, I have never been able to get my size. They do not and will not stock ladies size 8 and men's size 7 shoes. I was actually suggested by a sales person to just get the next size up/down. my shoe size is NOT negotiable. I have enquired about this many times, and have on one occasion talked to the owner directly. The most consistant answer I have received was "We have a lot of people coming in and looking for those sizes, but not enough people wear them to stock them" have been told this twice. So apparently they have lots of people coming in and enquiring about sizes they do not wear?! or are all the sales people talking customers into buying a size larger or smaller than their actual size? As a business owner myself, I have no problem passing on this info to every single one of my customers as well!! Also have no problem driving into the Edmonton, to get the service and selection every consumer deserves.

First for the good things: Nice clothing section, wide variety of international foods that are hard to find elsewhere in town, good produce section, parking is relatively easy.. My pet peeves: Needing a loonie or toonie to get a shopping cart. For a population that is rapidly advancing in the digital age, few people bother with cash anymore. And even those that do, aren't always going to have loonies or toonies immediately on hand. This has put me off many an impromptu shopping stop at Superstore, as I mainly use plastic and don't feel like having to go stand in line at customer service and embarrassingly have to ask for change like a panhandler. I mean most supermarkets, especially in the US, use digital/magnetic perimeters outside their parking lots so that shopping cart wheels lock when someone tries stealing one...why you'd require your customers to carry a coin purse in order to do any significant amount of shopping in your store is beyond me. Secondly, they don't take AMEX.. every other chain grocery store does.. so whats the problem here? More and more people use AMEX every day for purchases because of miles/insurance etc..so what makes Superstore so indifferent? I mean there's even places like Costco that only take AMEX, so that whole excuse about avoiding amex because of pricing is insincere. Lastly, my biggest pet peeve is a grocery store that asks you how many bags you'll need BEFORE all your items are rung up. I mean seriously, this is a no brainer. And by that I mean they have no brains for doing this. How is someone with heaps and heaps of groceries loaded up on their cart supposed to be able to forecast how many bags they'll need? Are Superstore customers now supposed to be psychic, as well as always carrying around change and making sure they don't use AMEX? When they ask me how many bags I'm going to want, the only answer I can think of giving is "as many as I'll need to empty my groceries into... duuh".. This is just plain stupidity on behalf of the store. So if inexplicably none of the above bothers you, then I recommend this store!!

The only thing that doesn't make it 5 stars is the prices are often incorrect in the home section. Countless times we've had to get price checks on stuff like Christmas lights, wrapping paper, laundry hampers, hangers, and stuff like that. Usually it was incorrect stocking of the product in the wrong place or wasn't but in their system. I find the staff is never hesitant to double check though!

Parking can be a hassle too as there are other amenities around the area whom utilized the same street parking as the Board Games Cafe. Went in to scope out the cafe and just browse their collections of board games. It's impressive to say the least, came out slightly stuffed with a smile. Ended up trying their tuna melt which was surprisingly good, the dill dip is pretty delicious as well. Had a San Pellegrino & bailey's w/ coffee to help digest the cafe snacks I had. The staff were very courteous and informative, which made my experience an amazing one. She recommended the clearance Dryer which fit my needs perfectly. I appreciate how quickly she let me know where and which one would be good for me. The only problem I had was it was not mentioned to me that there was a "huge" dent in the lower right side of the dryer. As it was on the floor, as a floor model, between another dryer, I could not see the damage at all. In her defense Heena may not have known this as well. And the person in the back who wrapped it would have but, most likely, thought someone had mentioned this to me. It does work great, so I am not upset as it was shell damage and not mechanical. Not bad for a clearance model.
