It's…read morenot a coincidence that they have struggled mightily due to the massive construction projects behind their building and across Cricket now too. People don't come because of the fear of parking and congestion. They're located in what was once Woolworth's, a place I spent hours in as a child. There are two entrances - one facing Lancaster and one in the rear off Cricket Ave. I go there now for Halloween supplies - fake blood, costumes, props, for general party supplies and for wrapping paper supplies. They are slightly more expensive than big box stores or online , sure. Their quality is very good, often better. Plus, you're supporting a local business. The other thing they do are done pretty spectacular ballon decorations as well as on-the-spot sales of regular and Mylar balloons. I have my eye on a 15' tall Jack Skellington Mylar balloon that is amazing. Parking is more limited, though there are spots between the new construction ant the existing buildings for use, and Party Place Depot has a 15 min loading zone by their rear entrance. They're also 1/2 block from the Ardmore train & bus stations. The people who work there are generally nice and helpful. It's an old building so it's not super fancy. They have a wide variety of items though. It's worth the extra to buy here, both in effort and the price differentials from the mega-store-conglomerates. I'm definitely going back. They do have a huge selection but sometimes I see the kid themed party selection is low. So if I have 20 kids for party I can't find 20 favors in the aisle. So shop early for kid themed parties. They have tons of everything and is a cool place to buy Halloween costumes. You can get custom invitations here. Balloons are also available esp the cool different ones. The basic ones are overprice ($2.99 each) especially when similar ones are at the dollar store. The check out line always sucks. Never seem to be enough cashiers... that's my only big issue. Yes I'll be back.
