This local Party City has plenty of parking. I stop in here for a variety of things such as baking supplies, color paper goods and themed parties. They do have a huge selection but sometimes I see the kid themed party selection is low. So if I have 20 kids for party I can't find 20 favors in the aisle. So shop early for kid themed parties. They have tons of everything and is a cool place to buy Halloween costumes. You can get custom invitations here. Balloons are also available esp the cool different ones. The basic ones are overprice ($2.99 each) especially when similar ones are at the dollar store. The check out line always sucks. Never seem to be enough cashiers... that's my only big issue. I had a fantastic experience at this Party City shopping for my toddler's birthday! I got everything I needed for her rainbow unicorn birthday party. The cashiers/employees at the front were so helpful. We got big balloons, rainbow unicorn napkins, plates, and cups. The staff was so friendly, and helpful and kind. read more

This place is an absolute joke. They never have anything in stock (even though it says they have it on the website). They have a ton of workers but only ever 1 person on register and one person filling balloons. And if you have the guts to actually ask for help you'll flat out be told they're busy and to ask for help up front. The line is always at least 10-15 customers deep and there is never any type of hustle from the cashiers. I don't fault the employees for this. They're mostly high school kids who probably get paid minimum wage. Management and store leadership need to do a better job. read more

Typically short staffed, long lines, and no one on the floor to help you. The majority of the items online ex. costumes or accessories are rarely found in the store. There were 7 workers standing around while we waited in line. There was only one cashier and they moved so slow. If you need to go here make sure you save yourself plenty of time. This did not even take place during a busy season. I can't imagine what they would do during that time. The manager was standing around behind the counter just making fun of the other works and when one worker said she needs a vacation he told her they are always on vacation when they're here. I would have given 1 star but I have 2 because the store does have a lot of good stuff but the workers are horrible. read more

Everything was neat and organized, plenty to choose from and the party supplies were priced very reasonable, especially the children's stuff. Horrible horrible horrible. The staff are beyond rude. They had a line of 10 people while 3 other staff members sat around near the balloons and chatted. I asked a few questions and the staff were reluctant to answer and had an attitude. Going forward I won't be going back. This is the second time I had a completely horrible experience. Not to mention you can probably get things cheaper on Amazon. The last time they sent me a survey and I gave feedback and nothing happened. It's clear they do not care about customer service. We dropped off our big order of balloons to be filled at Party City the .day before our event. Edie was amazing as she understood exactly what we wanted and made us feel SO confident it would all be taken care of. We also scheduled to have the balloons delivered and they were right on time. Aside from everything being overpriced, do not buy their sparklers. I got a dud for my dad's 91st birthday. I bought a "9" sparkler and a "1" sparkler. I lit one of the numbers, but, by the time the other number ignited, the first number had already fizzled out. It totally sucked. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. The employees are beyond disrespectful to customers. In addition to the condescending tone most of them take with customers, they roll their eyes at each other when communicating your needs. They also do not communicate with each other, so customers leave angry. Additionally, the credit card machine stopped working in the middle of a transaction. I had to be rung up all over again at the other register. The woman who "runs" the balloon area and "helped" the cashier with the register is the most unprofessional employee I have ever encountered. She made nasty comments to the employees that needed assistance, and it was clear that they were uncomfortable and embarrassed. Literally the worst store ever is Springfield, PA. They didn't deliver all of my balloons for my nephews 1st birthday party. I called the store 3 times that day. Said they were going to be delivered. Never were. THEN said they would refund me $75 of the $300+ I spent there. They are the ABSOLUTE worst. And kept reassuring me I was going to be refunded. And have yet to be. This establishment is one of the worst places I have ever been to in my life. I waited for in line for an hour and the only reason I did not leave was because it is a family member's birthday tomorrow. Therefore, I needed things. If this was not the case I would've been out of the store in seconds. They had one person working the register while over 20 people were waiting in line. They were not in any hurry to address their customers and we're very lazy. This is one of the worst places I have ever been to in terms of customer service. This is the worst store ever. I'm not a fan of Party City as is, but with so few options, I'm forced to shop here. The employees in the store are rude, have horrible attitudes and would rather socialize than help their customers. I have been here numerous times and the service is ALWAYS horrible. My daughter and I went to the Party City in Springfield PA (19064) yesterday morning at 8:30 am to get 10 regular balloons filled with helium. We were also planning on picking up some extra plates and tablecloths. There were about 10 employees there, but I didn't see any other customers in the store at the time. We asked if we could get 10 balloons filled, and the associate behind the counter turned to a woman and asked if they could fill the 10 balloons. The woman (who was quickly joined by another woman) told us that they can't take walk-ins; they had too many orders to fill. They suggested that maybe we try the Plymouth Meeting store (which is 15-16 miles away!), or to try the Dollar Store. Just WOW. Needless to say , we didn't purchase anything from Party City that day. Acme Markets in Clifton Heights filled our balloon order in a friendly manner, and without hesitation. read more

It was the last one. They offered ten percent as a discount... for half missing. I was buying several other items so I assumed they could do better. The party city in Springfield continues to be consistent, consistently AWFUL! I just walked in planning to spend a lot of money on items for my sons birthday tomorrow. I stood in a long line to order two balloons. After waiting for the person working to chit chat with a coworker about last night, I was finally called on. I said I'd like to place an order for two balloons. She said they were out of helium. I was surprised as it's a party store! She said none until Sunday (it's Thursday). So I proceed to walk over to two girls waiting for balloons at the balloon counter. I said I was just told there isn't any helium and they looked shocked and surprised as they were waiting for balloons. Just then another worker walks out with two bundles of balloons for them and for another woman. I said to the worker, excuse me, I thought you were out or helium. She barely stopped walking to rudely tell me "go talk to manager" and pointed. I walked down the isle she pointed to to see two employees standing there. I politely ask, are you the manager. He replied "yes", I tell him what just happened. He replied very rude "well THOSE are orders and we are only reserving our tank for those that order", I replied, ok, I wish I was just told that up front instead of seeing people walk out with balloons right in front of me. I was clearly bothering him!!! I walk out of the store and see the two ladies who jist walked out with balloons near my car. I said "excuse me but did you pre order your balloons" and they replied NO!!! They just walked in and ordered them and were just talking about how they turned me away right behind them!! I have been going to party city for years from buying party supplies, balloons and even wedding things for my wedding. I never had a bad experience until i purchased balloons for my daughters first birthday which deflated! The day of her birthday i purchased one balloon that deflated on my way home which i returned and they gave me a new one, the balloons were purchased the day of her birthday party and one started deflating as guests started to arrive 1hour after i picked them up! Very disappointed and i know i should've went back like the first time but i had no time. Also very poor customer service, everyone that works there is not friendly at all and there's always a huge line with 1 register open. Ridiculous! read more

Staff on duty on the evening of 5-23 were amazing. I ran in to get balloons for my sons birthday and they made sure to get me in and out and even had the colors be that of his favorite football team the New England Patriots. Thank you so much. I went there when the doors opened. There were about 6 employees blowing up balloons. I stood there for 5 minutes, not one of them asked if I needed help. So I walked around, picked up a few items then went to cashier. Told her I needed a dozen "80th" birthday balloons, Mylar. Her reply... we don't have any. Even though, there are about 5 different ones on display. Ok so I didn't get them. I bought a few decoration.one was a streamer, I open it and I have to string it together. What? I went to purchase my sons costumes today and had the WORST experience ever. The young lady who took the costume order had the worst attitude. She acted as if I bothered her for telling her the sizes I needed. The only good part was the guys who worked in the storage portion of the store. They were super friendly. I get to the register and the cashier had a even bigger attitude than the first young lady I encountered. She didn't tell me my total she just said "swipe your card" after I looked at the price I swiped however as a person who worked in retail for many years you never treat any customer rude or nasty. As I was leaving I was stopped by the security gaurd who needed to check my receipt???? He hadn't checked the 5 other people who went before me??? I question this because I am African American and the prior individuals were caucasian. The security gaurd looked in my bag as well as fully examined my receipt. I will never shop at this store ever again!! I have never ever been treated as horrible as I was today. I have went to this store for almost every occasion in my kids life birthdays baby showers etc. This was completely unacceptable. I will never cone to this store again... I will be contacting corporate to further complain this was not acceptable behavior. read more
