I made an appointment in June or July in preparation for another colonoscopy this year. The earliest date available was the end of August. Less than 48 hours before my appointment I received a phone call from someone that said they were having trouble verifying my insurance. My insurance hasn't changed. However, she then told me that the practice no longer accepts Medicare. I don't know if it was my Medicare plan or all Medicare plans. She didn't offer any further explanation, just told me that I couldn't see the doctor. I asked about paying out of pocket, and she just said, 'No'. The doctor is great! I know she's been with this practice for a long time. In my case they had all of my insurance information since the last colonoscopy, nothing had changed. I received no less than five robocalls informing me that I was due for a colon screening this year. If they were no longer accepting my insurance plan, I should not have been able to even schedule an appointment. The only contact I should have received was an alert informing me that my insurance was no longer being accepted by the practice. Now I'm left to 'shop' for a gastro-doc. Not happy.

We didn't do any research on the clinic because we trusted our doctors referral When we called to schedule the appointment we were told Dr. Williams only sees men with zero sperm and that we would need to see Dr. Grimaldo. We agreed and booked the appointment. Upon arrival we completed some docs and we were taken to a room where the receptionist asked more questions and gave us lab referrals (which had the name spelled incorrectly). We told the receptionist the name was wrong and after several attempts, the receptionist still couldn't get the name correct. He told us to write it down and he'd change it later. After the receptionist left we waited for 45 minutes before we stepped out to ask if we had been forgotten about. Then the nurse finally came in. He asked for our previous labs, which we had already given to the receptionist. The nurse left for another 20 minutes trying to find them before coming back to our room. He asked a few questions and then performed a genital exam. Then he sent us to the lab for a work up with my husbands incorrect name on the slips. The lab lady said, if insurance doesn't pay we will be responsible for bill and recommended we get name fixed with receptionist. At check-out we asked the receptionist who it was that saw us. He said Dr Grimaldo. I said no it wasn't. The guy we saw wasn't the same as guy in photo in lobby. Then he said, oh then it must have been Tim, the new doctor. However, it wasn't Tim either because we could see Tims photo in lobby too. He apparently had no idea who came in and performed my husbands genital exam and neither do we. We felt violated and so confused. We basically drove 2 hours to see some nurse who for all we know doesn't really work there. He was not wearing any identification, his name is not on our paperwork and nobody knows who he is. To be honest the whole experience was very disturbing. Needless to say we won't go back. There's no way on earth we would trust these guys with our health and our fertility. **UPDATE Dr. Grimaldo called us and explained what happened and apologized for the mix-up. He also reassured us that the person we saw is a board certified practitioner who works for the clinic. He also gave us the results of our lab work and gave us information we were seeking to know on our visit. He also offered telemedicine for future so we don't have to drive so far. It was a nice gesture and we feel much better, however after our conversation I couldn't help but feel the Doctor was sort of patronizing me, saying he will have the nurse have his name written on back of uniform. To be honest, just because someone wears scrubs or a name badge doesn't make them credible. I was more disturbed that nobody knew who he was in the day of our visit. It's key to know who you are scheduling appointment with and on day of appointment that person sees you or the office tells you in advance that you will be seeing someone else. The office was so disorganized I felt concerned that anyone could have just walked in to play doctor. Anyhow, with that being said, it was our first visit and everyone and every office is entitled to an off day and we really appreciated the doctor calling us to clear things up.

I demanded and Ortho Dr. Dr Hadnot was very informative and recommended a simple knee surgery with pre surgery and post surgery procedures. Scheduling the surgery was "hell" the administrative nurse was totally incompetent and refused to return my calls. I received no pre - surgey information and my post surgery procedures to include rehab and medicines (very important) were not ordered; although I inquired several times before the surgery. I was lied too by the admin that my pre and post was organized. It was not and was not even 3 weeks after the surgery. The Doctor who completed the surgery left TRP and my knee continued to give me issues because I had no post surgery recovery. I returned to TRP and they scheduled me with a PA. The PA told me to wait a couple months to see what would happen with my knee. I demanded to see Dr Hadnot who immediately ordered another MRI. I returned to my appointment to have my MRI evaluated and the TRP set me up with a PA again and told me the Dr was not available. The Office Manager told me "I will review your case and decide whether we will care for you". I replied it is my decision and "TRP will not care for me; I am going somewhere else". Do not go to this facility. They are using PA's for revenue stream purposes. I am reporting this incident to the Texas Medical Board. This facility need a transformation to include an audit of their pre - surgery and post surgery communication procedures. I also believe they need ne w leadership immediately before they seriously hurt someone.

She was very very rude and snippy when I asked if I can give her my insurance. She told me I was suppose to do it when I checked in the appointment and didn't take it. Then again, I went for my yearly check up today and it was different girls, but all still very rude and have an attitude. I asked to put my new insurance on file and when I checked out it cost me more for my visit when I put my insurance on rather than doing self pay.
