I was looking for a end doctor and am a patient with Houston Methodist and somehow, I got connected to this outside Endocrine Center. When I called in the middle of scheduling the call dropped, I was hoping someone would call me back, no one did. I called back and got 3 different agents and all with the WORST attitude. During the call I realized they were NOT part of Houston Methodist. If I was treated this poorly on my initial call, I cant even imagine what that would look like if I was a patient. i truly do NOT UNDERSTAND all the 1 Star reviews here as they are absolutely inconsistent with my own experiences. There are several doctors there, so perhaps they are at fault (though I'm inclined to doubt it), but I've been seeing mine for over 3 years and have to say that I would NEVER seen another Endocrinologist here in Houston and would probably travel back here if I were to move. Not even sure how or where to begin. I have been given wrong medical instructions by employees, I found out that my doctor was retiring because I called schedule a follow-up appointment, and now I have had to wait for roughly 3.5 weeks to get the results of a sonogram cancer marker, only to be told by the girl answering the phone that I needed to call the imaging center to get my results. (And did I mention the first girl who answered the phone, eating her breakfast in my ear and commenting to her coworker how "delicious" it was? I had to ask her to stop eating in my ear...) But the second girl who answered, could hear the frustration on my voice, decided to actually go speak to the nurses and found out that they actually DID have my results and they were waiting for the doctor to give them direction. Again, this is a cancer marker sonogram. I have been waiting for 3.5 weeks. Is that something YOU would want to wait that long for? I think not. I will be looking for a new specialist ASAP. I wish I can be reaching out to this center with a better attitude but I am beyond disappointed by the level of ignorance from the doctors and staff. As a health care worker who has extensive knowledge of the different stages one needs to go to have a doctor listen to them, this is frustrating. I made an appointment with Dr. Williamson because of my family history of autoimmune disorders along with symptoms expecting to be diagnosed/ treated. After I made an appointment for a month in advance, I was livid to receive not one, not two but three calls letting me know how Dr. Williamson didn't think my case severe enough to be seen by her. Exactly what do I have to do to get an appointment? I have three other specialist and PCP that have recommended I see Endo and I DID NOT expect to have to jump through so many hoops just to get an appointment. There are way too many doctors in Houston to subject yourself to this clinic. The clinic on Katy Freeway is the most dark and dank place. The decor alone makes any depressed. The worst part is how unprofessional the staff is which Dr. Jamal is aware of as she shared that with me. I have twice waited an hour and a half just to get my monthly shot. Only two staff members can unlock the door where the medication is stored and neither one can show up in time. I changed insurance in April the staff was aware and never sent a request to the new insurance company. My monthly two shots are $3000 each. I contacted the office on numerous occasions and no one did anything to assist me. I called five times. I then received a letter stating they were no longer going to be able to work with me. Allegedly, my frustration directed at their incompetence hurt their feelings. I am seven months into a yearly program. Thanks to the lack of professionalism I missed my April shot. Now I am having to find a doctor that will see me. The staff is not only unprofessional but rude and clearly grooming is not a concern. One assistant nails are three inches long. Unless u want to be treat horribly I would not go to this place. They don't have ANY compassion nor do they do their jobs. It's amazing how the good reviews are first probably rated by STAFF. I suggest you scroll down and read all reviews before going to this center. I would not recommend this center. 1. Phone system is horrible. You're put on hold too long. The worst I've ever experienced. Once you leave a message it's returned days/weeks later. 2. The billing dept. screws up your account. The bank shows payments I have made but the billing dept. does not show the payment a month after its gone through. Sending more bills bills bills. 3. I had an ultrasound done in March but it \wasn't until May that I went back for my 3 month check up that the doctor discussed the results with me concerning poor circulation in my legs. Now I'm seeing another doctor for more tests and more money. That's not professional. The doctor or his medical assistant should have notified me within a week at least of my results. Disappointed I have transferred my services to a different doctor, different location. read more

I am never one to leave a negative review, in fact, I go out of my way to do all surveys after a service to commend good work. But people need to know what to expect from an endocrinologist, especially when it comes to thyroid health. I have never felt less cared for or respected. My health is not this offices priority in anyway. For anyone that has thyroid issues, specifically hashimotos you know important it is to be on top of it. Starting in December I was showing symptoms of hyperthyroidism. I went in for labs and they shifted my dosage slightly. Beginning of January I was having even more extreme symptoms so I called the doctor to ask about the meds. The nurse said she'd send a note to Dr. Michaels and she's be back in touch. I waited until 3pm on Friday, called back and they had no record of my prior call. They asked if I could come in for labs again. I went that day. I received an email with lab results on Saturday so assumed someone would be in touch Monday/Tuesday. By Wednesday I still had not heard from them so I called, they said the doctor had said to drop my dosage and they were calling new prescription into Pharmacy. Friday came around, no prescription called in. I don't end up getting it until Monday. Monday - Thursday I'm having extreme symptoms, I call on Thursday morning leaving a vm, crying, no call back. I call again at 1pm, speak with a nurse who promises my doctor will call me back, I'm crying at this point. No call back. My thyroid is .07, normal us .40+, so I am not in good shape and have no doctor to even act like that matters. The worst part of this was that I thought I'd found a good doctor in Dr. Michaels and the Endocrine Center, but this is unacceptable and very dangerous. Do not go to this center if you are suffering with a thyroid disease, go anywhere else. You will not be cared for, they will not put your health as a priority. Also good luck with lab tests, constantly had to go get them because they forgot to send them down. I just found a new doctor and called to cancel my appointment and got transferred 2 times and hung up on twice. Yep, I'm done. read more

This center is the worst, they make you wait almost an hour even though you have an appointment. It's absolutely ridiculous. Do not make an appointment if you have everything backed up and certainly don't make them if you can't live up to them. I had an appointment at 10:30, it's been one hour and I'm still waiting. So dissatisfied and appalled at this. They should not make all these appointments if they don't have room. And the staff sucks at always sending in my blood test results. I always end up having to call before and even after that I end up in the doctors office and they still have not received my blood test request. It's very unprofessional and inefficient not to mention a waste of my time. Not only that but that Dr.Ouais is the worst ever, he is so rude and when I told him the issue he states I should see another endocrinologist, AFTER her made me wait 2 hours and then didn't even apologize for being late. Visited Dr Aleyti twice and first time we didnt get on well, she wasn't listening and I get it, many folk visit the doctor and never put in work on their own, so even doctors get a little complacent after seeing the same 'patient' come in day after day. But 2nd visit she knocked it out of the park. I'm not cured but I know what to do next, which was why I visites. I do everything I can to try and stay healthy so was good that she picked up on these things this time and gave me a good direction to go in to get back to being healthy. read more

I really love that the center is is clean and they practice wearing a mask and social distancing. The staff at the front desk greets you with professionalisms, and answers any questions you may have. One area of improvement would be when the employee who comes to the reception room to take you back to where the doctor will see you they could greet you, but they simply call your name. It would be nice for them greet with a good morning, or hi how are you. I noticed the patients were the first to state a greeting. I have been going to the Endocrine Center for approximately two years and the location is convenient for me. It only takes about 18 minutes and is directly off of I10W fwy. They have free parking YAY and a short walk to their office building. Now if you ask me about my doctor (Dr. Koshy) I will tell you he is always professional, listens to the patient and asks about your concerns. A doctor who is generally interested in your healthcare. Dr. Koshy is fantastic! I have hashimotos thyroiditis and He always takes time to listen to how I'm feeling and never rushes through my visit. He actually is the reason I found out I have lupus, he listened to my symptoms and ordered labs that ended up diagnosing me. I would give this place a negative 10 if I could . Do not go to this place. I had an appointment on July 21 it was a total nightmare. After an hour and 30 minute wait I was taken into a small room that had a fridge with bolt locks on it. On the wall there was a medical certificate for a podiatrist. I was wondering if I was in the right place. The lady girl that took my blood pressure walk out of the room while the blood pressure machine was still running so she had to do it twice and still didn't get to read. Although my primary physician faxed my file and bloodwork to their office three times and they confirmed prior to my appointment that they received it they were unable to locate it. I waited for another 45 minutes in that small room it was filthy it had a trashcan overflowing with trash all over the floor. Finally a very frazzled doctor came in and walked me into his office where he had a laptop and a sofa actually was a loveseat that was really filthy the whole time he hardly made any eye contact with me and proceeded to take my personal information. I came in to that office with all of my paperwork filled out and completed but for some reason no one even bothered to enter it into the system. They have my name wrong and the doctor was screaming at the receptionist to correct it which he never did. Dr Daniel S. Tung, informed me that he is going on vacation for three weeks and it I will have to run a bunch of bloodwork but not until he returns. He also informed me that I will have to have the blood drawn before 8 AM. That was the extent of my visit there. He was very rushed because he was leaving to go overseas. At The check out the lady was eating popcorn and Wood a mouth full of popcorn very unprofessional sent me back to see a nurse who is really A young girl who was a new office assistant. This girl had to write my blood work order and did not know one code on the paperwork she was attempting to fill out . I felt like I was in the twilight zone! I had to wait another 45 minutes while she was asking everyone in the office what codes to fill in . Since the place was so filthy I advised her that I will go to quest location to have my blood drawn in about four weeks she gave me the incomplete paperwork and I regretted his whole appointment. I should've just walked out of there. To top it all off five days after my visit I received a detailed bill from my insurance company apparently they have build the insurance for all of the lab work that was NEVER performed. I truly consider this medical fraud and I called and left numerous messages and no one called me back. I called my insurance and reported this matter. Finally today a month after my visit a receptionist called me to remind me on my next appointment and I asked to speak to a manager and address the issue of the exuberant bill that issued my insurance company. Instead of apologizing or providing any type of explanation The office manager kept on making excuses. Do not go to this place it's a total rip off they will bill you for procedures you have not done and everyone is very up unprofessional there. Furthermore The place is so filthy I will never step foot in that place again. I still have the work order for the blood work that was never performed and the bill the issued my insurance company they should be illegal *******DO NOT COME HERE THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE *** It is now almost 6 months later and after talking to this place numerous times they still have not reversed the charges from my insurance for services not rendered They billed me for lab work that was NEVER DONE I DID NOT HAVE ANY LAB WORK My next step is to file a formal complaint with the medical board read more

I will never return to this place. I completed my paperwork and returned it via email one day before my appointment. My appointment was scheduled for 10:30 am. I arrived at 10:15 am as instructed. The intake nurse initially could not find my paperwork, indicating a lack of organization. I did not see a doctor until 12:00 pm. When the doctor arrived, she disclosed another patients medical history to me. I immediately corrected her and told her my name. She said the nurse did not even have my paperwork (no nurse came to visit me). This has been the worst experience ever. read more

They wanted to charge higher amount (as plan deductible was not met) even though insurance card showed a lower co-pay was applicable for specialist visits. This was disappointing as the insurance card very clearly showed a co-pay applied and no other specialist has had this issue in the past. The only people that were nice were the billing people. The rest of the people that work here are rude and inconsiderate. Long waits. Staff and practice feel very non personable. You feel like you're just a number here. The worst is Dr. Tung. He's got the God complex. "Just do what I tell you, don't question me. I'm the doctor and I know everything". Dr. Tung makes your session feel rushed, he throws generic advice at you that anyone can get on the internet. Doesn't consider everyone's personal situation into the factor. He had me do labwork on one occasion. There was a Testosterone test in it. It's recommended you do a Testosterone test before 9:00am. My blood was drawn at 9:10am. On my next visit he reviewed the labwork and told me it was garbage because it needed to be done before 9:00am. Really? 10 minutes makes a difference in results when that is just a general recommended guideline? So he made me redo the the entire labwork again. When the results for the new one came in. it was the same as the previous (as if that's a surprise). It seems this guy practices with no medical common sense, only following strictly whatever he read in books while in med school. After wasting 5-6 visits with him. I couldn't handle anymore of this place and went to find a new doctor. Dr. Tung and place is highly not recommended. read more

I have been going to Dr. Christina Michaelis for about a year and one-half for insulin pump therapy. I am very satisfied with all aspects of the care fro all in this facility. I am a retired registered nurse and I recognize good medical delivery....they have it. She has a RN or NP (not sure which) who specializes in diabetic care. What a great practitioner!!!! I have been a satisfied patient of Dr. Eric Orzack for over 20 years. He is a wonderful, caring brilliant doctor and I would not ever want him to retire! The office is clean and typically runs on time, with minimal wait time. The issue I have is with the front desk personnel. They are surly and don't seem to be able to get the simplest of tasks completed appropriately. I had to call four times to get a prescription submitted. When I ask for a particular person (Vanessa ) I am told NO, and as the customer, I feel I should be able to talk with whom ever I have found that can get the job done. I appreciate his care and concern for me as a person. I have recommended him to several of my friends. My wait times have been minimal. No, just a big ole' no to this place. After waiting over a hour and 20 mins to see the doc, (no sorry or thank you for your patience) it was a curt conversation and no asking about how I was feeling etc. when I mentioned I had gained weight this past year the doctor's reply was "oh yes, that's a lot" (gee thanks lady). Then her way of "solving " my weight was to do sit-ups to work on the mid section fat and eat 2 meals a day 8 hours apart totaling 1,000 calories. When I asked if I should compensate when I run 5+ miles she said no. I said, wow, that means my total caloric intake could be around 200 calories some days! She said "that's fine and how you lose weight" for real! Wtf, anyone can lose weight if you starve yourself and eat 200 a day! So unprofessional, this was a doctor who I was baffled at the fact can actually possess a medical degree!! I will not be returning for my follow up as well as making statements elsewhere. One does simply not tell a patient to eat less then 500 calories a day to lose weight. read more

What I appreciate most is the promptness, I don't wait too long before seeing Dr. Koshy. I tell Yesenia(front desk) I need to hurry and they make sure I'm not in their office too long. I recently had an appointment with Dr. Jamal at the Greater Heights location. Dr. Jamal was truly amazing! She made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. She took her time asking me questions and I didn't feel rushed at all. She was very thorough and explained everything very well! Along with Dr. Jamal, her entire team at the clinic was very professional and attentive. They seemed to work well together as a team and the communication was seamless. I would also like to recognize the phlebotomist, Norma! She was really good! People normally have hard time drawing my blood but she got it on the first go! They gave me a monitor without telling me the costs or telling me about a deductible. A few months later I get a letter in the mail from a credit bureau!
