Finally had the chance to enjoy this little spot in North Hills. I lived in Venezuela for a few years, so I'm very familiar with the food. I ordered a pepito, cachapas, and some meat empanadas--everything was delicious. The ambiance is really cozy, as it's inside a house with a large front area. You order at the food truck, and then they have a few tables and chairs where you can sit like in a restaurant. This family-owned food truck operates out of a nice home property with a beautiful front yard for you to sit at. The servers are so nice and full of energy that I felt welcome right away. I got an order of 3 tequenos which are like dough-like mozzarella sticks. I got an arepa de carne that was so juicy and fulfilled my months ling craving. I came on hot day in June and the papelon drink satisfied my thirst. The drink is similar to tamarindo but a bit more sour. Definitely recommend checking the place out! read more

I usually come for those 2 items and to drink I order papelon. Parking is street but I've never had a problem finding parking. The place feels very Greek vibe but it's Venezuelan food. This place was such a delight to discover. It's located in a front yard of a large, serene property. The food was fresh, piping hot and delicious. We were told we could pay after eating, and our food was brought out to us fairly quickly. We got the chicken and shredded beef arepas and empanadas (pollo and carne mechada) and they were delicious. The beef was well seasoned and my personal favorite. The empanada crust/dough in particular was slightly sweet which contrasted well with the savoury filling. The only remark I'd add is that I wish the food had some spice or the sauces were spicy, but the food was still flavourful so it didn't matter that much. The ambiance was amazing! We watched the roosters walk around and crow, and there's a lot of wildflowers in the yard which encouraged pollinators like hummingbirds to gather, and it made me really happy to watch them as we ate. The only thing I'll say is that we have been overcharged by at least $10 twice. In the moment when we payed we thought it was a little higher than what we got but shook it off thinking it might be the tax. I did the math and they definitely overcharged us. TALK ABOUT FINDING A HIDDEN GEM! This was amazing! Late last night, My brother and I were looking for a late night meal after a hard day of work. I discovered this place on Yelp in my search and showed him and we both agreed it sounded good. We headed out and driving there seemed a little suspicious, as our gps was taking us into a neighborhood. You wouldn't think a restaurant or food truck would be in the middle of a neighborhood. As we got closer, there were a couple free standing signs directing us to a home. We parked our car and began walking to the address. As we entered the driveway, we see a huge front yard with beautiful lighting and a whimsical seating area within a beautiful garden and a food truck in front of a house. We were the only ones there and there was a lovely young woman in the food truck welcoming us. She was the only worker there. I asked if they were still open as it was already pretty late. She said yes, absolutely. This was our first time eating Venezuelan food, it we were familiar with plantains and arepas, as our mom is Colombian. She helped us go through the menu, which you scan a QR code and pull up on your phone. There is no menu or photos of the food on the front of the truck, so you will need to scan the QR code that's next to the order window to see the menu. We ordered a little bit of everything and all of it was amazing and delicious. One of the biggest selling points is that there are vegetarian options available. She cooked it all fresh, and all by herself. Again, absolutely amazing service in a beautiful unique setting, and delicious food. She's a fantastic chef. Soooo happy we discovered this place. We didn't get a chance to take photos of all of the food, but there are a few photos we've attached. And for those concerned about covid safety protocols, when we first entered the property she had a mask on, and that's with no one else around. Another side note, they do take credit/debit cards.
