The Valley Arepa. This one was a special. Amazing!
    Kevin S.

Incredible. I'm not arepa expert. But I know quality, fresh, flavor-packing food, when it hits me. And the arepas from The Arepa Stand hit. These Venezuelan flavors are so satisfying. Yes, $17 for an arepa is a lot, but these arepas are stacked. Get an arepa and an agua fresca from the stand across the street, and that's a solid lunch meal. For those who haven't had arepas before (like me), they are more satiating and satisfying than a solid-sized burger. Which is not the best comparison, but hopefully helpful, nonetheless. Service is friendly and quick. So if you're at the Mar Vista Farmers Market, I would not hesitate to make a stop at The Arepa Stand. Your taste buds will thank you!

Sheeeesh. I went to the Mar Vista farmers market and had to know what was causing the line around the tent - turns out it was the Arepa Stand. There was a bit of a wait, but only about 10 minutes, the arepas/food were well worth it and the food was delicious. You could tell they had a very well oiled machine, super organized process, clean, once your order was placed it didn't take long at all to get your food and they give you a buzzer so you can continue exploring the market and come back when your food is ready. I'll definitely be back!

The Inglewood $17 - SO GOOD!

We were almost done walking through the farmers market when we came upon the Arepa stand. The concept is simple - corned based patty is cut in half and filled with cheese, protein, etc. There was a line but it wasn't too long - maybe 10 customers in front of us. We chose the Inglewood which was filled with braised bbq pork, avocado, spicy sauce and cheese. They said they were short handed for the day, and since they're made to order, it would take 15 mins. They give you a buzzer that notifies you when your order is ready. We walked around and came back in 15 but it wasn't ready yet. It took another 5-10 mins and then it was ready. We brought it home. It wasn't piping hot anymore but it was delicious! The pork is perfectly cooked, the bbq sauce is sweet and vinegary and not too overwhelming. The avocados are a great addition to this! Can't wait to return and try more!

I was looking for something different at the Torrance Farmers Market. I decided to try this place. Got the breakfast sandwich. It was shockingly expensive! Yikes! I took a couple of bites and ended up throwing it out. I may not be the right consumer for this product, but I just didn't hit right. The picture of the sandwich looked delicious, but it wasn't. For me.

Food is fantastic but 15-20 dollars for one arepa is a lot. And then 3 more for egg or avocado. The food really is delicious tho, staff were nice

I had the delicious hand made cheese arepa for $13 and it was soooo yummy. The arepa was gently crispy with a generous amount of cheese. I also bought 2 hallacas ( a Venezuelan kind of Tamal) with chicken, the dough was incredibly soft and full of flavors. Again very generous with the filling. Will definitely become a regular.

Really yummy! I got "the 405" and it was amazing. I loved the sweetness from the plantains and the savory-ness from the beef/beans/sauces. What a great combo! As others have said, prices are higher than one might expect but the taste was so good I can't be mad at them. I'd definitely recommend "the 405". The flavors were poppin! And the sauces (garlic, avocado, and spicy) are a must! I got all 3 drizzled on top, it was bomb!

The Mar Vista farmers market is not my personal favorite farmers market in LA (parking is tough and they are super strict on the no dog policy) BUT it's worth a visit just to eat at this place. I got the Westsider(?) which is what they seem to be known for and it did not disappoint. The arepa was crispy yet gooey at the same time, and it paired perfectly with the cheese/chicken/avocado goodness in the sandwich. I do wish the spicy sauce on the side had a little more heat to it but it was still delicious. I wish they set up shop at the Marina Del Rey farmers market on Saturdays, I would go every week.

"The 405 " Arepa + added Egg . Side Sauces ( avocado salsa , garlic sauce). The Perfect Farmers Market Breakfast/Brunch Item!

This food stand is at the Playa Vista Farmers Market every Saturday and the Mar Vista FM Sundays. I have walked by it no less than 100 times before finally trying an arepa here and BOY...was I missing out. This fresh spin on an Argentinian sandwich is delicious. I've tried them all, all satisfying. I highly recommend their specials too, that is before they run out. I've had some really nice flavor profiles when eating their seasonal veggies. It starts with that slightly crispy, sweet corn cake bread and just takes off from there. My current fav is the Westsider, shredded chicken mixed with an avocado salad. Hints Of spice from the fresh peppers, without it being spicy and loads of Gouda cheese . Highly suggest adding plantains. I even love the names of their arepas...all plays on LA locales. The Eastsider is another one of my favorites, chorizo and egg stuffed with that mountain of Gouda cheese, black beans and fried plaintains. Don't skip the side of garlic sauce! You're welcome The only complaint I have about this place is the high price for what you get, but the quality is excellent...so one can argue fair pricing for that reason. Either way, $20 for a sandwich style meal ... street food no less, I believe is worth a demerit...or at least one of my Yelp stars;) Still love, love, love them.

Just tried The Arepa Stand at the Studio City Farmer's Market. It was very tasty. More so than I had imagined. Shared The Inglewood with my boyfriend. We both enjoyed it. And I don't typically enjoy these types of food stands. The service was friendly and quick. And they seemed organized and clean. Would definitely try something from there again.

I recently had the pleasure of trying the arepas at a pop-up stand at the farmers market, and they were absolutely delicious! The arepas were perfectly cooked, with a crisp exterior and a soft, flavorful interior, filled with fresh and tasty ingredients. The service was fantastic; the staff were friendly, efficient, and clearly passionate about their food. The pop-up location was also impressively clean and well-organized, which added to the overall enjoyable experience. I highly recommend stopping by this stand at the Mar Vista farmers market for some truly exceptional arepas! The highly recommended area for me was the red queen with some plantains and 1 fried egg and of course well accompanied by a Mexican Coca Cola ‍‍‍‍

Lucky me to be the first in line. What a beautiful restaurant with all the bright colorful decor! Cool atmosphere plus good lighting with several tables/chairs plus limited bar stool seating. There appears to be a hammock, too. Not sure if it can be used or it's just decor. One all gender restroom is discreetly in the back of the restaurant. Really great place!! The gentleman from the kitchen came out to greet me and asked what I would like. The lady behind the counter took over to take the remaining of my order. They both recommended the Reyna Arepa that is filled with shredded chicken, avocado, mayonnaise, and lime juice. An arepa is a griddlecake made of ground maize dough. It looks like a pocket to me. Anyway, that's what I got. OMG, it was so delicious! Tons of shredded chicken at every bite. Very well balanced between chicken, avocado, and mayo. Arepa was crispy and delightfully. SO GOOD! Highly recommend it. I also got the passion fruit juice that was delightfully refreshing... not too sweet... just perfect! Super nice and friendly staff. Amazing service. Tasty foods in great portions. Welcoming and warm ambiance. I'll definitely return to get more Renya Arepa and try other food items. If you're craving Venezuelan foods or trying it for the first time, this place is for you!

This used to be my favorite spot for arepas, but after today's experience, I won't be coming back…read more I called ahead and clearly explained my order: three arepa orders, with one having the masa scooped out. I also specifically asked about the price and was told it would be $13 per order, consistent with what's listed online. However, when I arrived, I was told the orders would be charged separately, and the employee became visibly frustrated when I asked for clarification and requested that everything be grouped as discussed. What made the situation worse was the pricing. I was charged $15 per order, which didn't match what I was told over the phone, nor what's listed online or even on Yelp (where it shows around $10). When I politely questioned the discrepancy, the employee became argumentative and made the interaction uncomfortable. I paid, because that's not the issue--but being treated dismissively and feeling misled is. Pricing should be consistent and clearly communicated, and customers shouldn't feel like they're being taken advantage of for asking reasonable questions. Really disappointing experience from a place I used to enjoy.

Its chicken was dry; arepas outside was crispy and crunchy but the inside was not moist. Moreover, their size was bloody small. Cafe's interior was naturally bright and aesthetically decorated. Indoor/outdoor seats were comfortable. Prices of the drinks were fair, however, arepas seem expensive. Service was on point. Staff were cordial. Free wifi. Plenty of street parking.
