Green salsa
Nohely M.

I tried them this past Friday via Grubhub delivery for the 1/2 chicken combo plate and it didn't disappoint at all. I must admit being a valley native, never have I ever tried them in the past and wow was I missing out. Combo comes with: four pieces of chicken with two sides, salsa, tortillas and a jalapeño. This is a very generous combo and the chicken was really good in flavor and retained its moisture as well. Definite give them a try when you are craving chicken you will not be disappointed. I must visit a location in person to check out their other plates.

Do not sleep on this place ! Go to Van Nuys and treat yourself to some very authentic food. I loved that this place is community based. The love is in the food . The chicken is seasoned to perfection and the people are super sweet. During lunch service is busy but beyond that you can get in and out within 15 minutes. Ambiance is pretty hole in the wall but what good food is not? It's clean and feels like you're in someone's Aunties kitchen.

Ay Papa Que Rico is a fantastic Cuban inspired charbroiled chicken restaurant. Had a craving for Cuban food after a recent rewatch of the movie, Chef. Stopped here for the first time and had to try the chicken based on the delicious smell as well as a Cubano. Both were mouthwatering. The chicken was perfect and the black beans and yellow rice I got with it were great. The Cubano was near perfection. I look forward to coming back and trying more of the menu

Very good Chicken! Sides were ok. I didn't like the seasoning on the coleslaw. Beans and rice were good. Fresh salsa. Friendly employees, parking is a mess.

Empanada

The food tastes good but the preparation isn't always consistent unfortunately. I've ordered the same items multiple times and they can be different each time.

So good!

Chicken is out of this world. The char is everything. Their fruit drink is so good! Tortillas on point, black beans on point, rice is good. Chips and Salsas on point! Nice friendly service! Can't complain.

Pragmatically speaking, i think Havana Herbs is an "OK" cuban food place. What you get for the…read moreprice is "alright" in my book. So, the truck is owned by a guy named Herb hence the name ... Havana Herbs. isn't that amazing? LOL. He is super nice and will take time to explain stuff to you if you need some more information. The Cubana sandwich that i got was ... okay i guess. I wish it had cheese. You always get this picture of Cubana sandwiches with melty cheese and there was none in the one that I had. So I was a little bit disappointed. The meat was good, there were 2 kinds. not sure what exactly what the 2nd one was but there was ham for sure. I did like that my order automatically came with Mariquitas (fried plantain chips) That being said, I did not grow up eating Cubana sandwiches and don't know what the hell I'm talking about so If any of you people who grew up eating this can tell me otherwise, please do, i would be happy to get the education. The truck does not have the plates, only sandwiches. In my opinion, you might be better off driving or walking another mile to Versailles, down (up?) the road, you would have more choices and maybe a better experience. But anyway, don't let a stupid "yelper" like me prevent you from trying it out, this is just my opinion, you might have another one! Save the whales, promote world peace. Hug and love one another. Amen.

All of Herbs sandwiches are served with un puñado de mariquitas, but I think it's worth it to get it by the bag-full.I had a Frita and I got a lot of bang for my very few bucks. Mercado Buenos Aires was a pleasant surprise and definitely lived up to the positive reviews. The…read morerestaurant is spacious, clean, and has plenty of seating, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. My server, Luis, was outstanding throughout the visit... friendly, attentive, and always making sure I had everything I needed. His excellent service really elevated the overall experience. The highlight of my meal was easily the breakfast steak and eggs with potatoes. The steak was flavorful, prepped well, and paired perfectly with the eggs and crispy potatoes. The coffee was also very good and complemented the breakfast nicely. Before the meal, I was served a sweet bread with cream and berry topping, which was a nice touch and a tasty way to start. I also tried the skirt steak with a side salad on a different day. While the steak had some flavor, it was much heavier than expected, and unfortunately the same can be said of the side salad. The silver lining in this instance was the french baguette, which was fresh enough but nothing particularly memorable. As far as desserts, I had the tiramisu, and it was fantastic. It was light, creamy, and the perfect ending to the meal (steak and eggs). Even though not every dish was a home run. the phenomenal breakfast, excellent tiramisu, very good coffee, welcoming atmosphere, and exceptional service from Luis made this an easy place to recommend. I'll definitely be back, especially for breakfast.

This place has such a real authentic Argentinian vibe that every visit feels warm!…read more They have so many Argentine products, amazing traditional desserts, and of course famous Argentine wine. But honestly, we keep coming back mainly for the meat. Their parrilla is LOVE. Perfect for sharing with 3-4 people, incredibly flavorful and always satisfying. And the desserts... they're so cozy and delicious, they honestly taste like something my grandma would bake for me :) Warm, homemade and impossible to resist. Another huge plus is the pricing, very reasonable for the quality and portions you get. The staff is always welcoming and attentive, which makes the whole experience even better. This place feels authentic in the best possible way. One of our absolute favorite spots whenever we're craving real Argentine food in LA.

This wonderful restaurant offers delicious Dominican food in a city where there is a dearth of Dominican options. Pardon my ignorance if there is a large community here in LA and that I am just unaware. I ordered the Santana's chicken - or their version of pollo guisado - as well as a cheese and diced salami empanada to start. The portions are pretty large here so the entrée lasted to me about two meals. The chicken was just so flavorful with all the different spices and ingredients. Really well done. I had mine with moro instead of the regular rice because I wanted that extra umph (and protein) from the beans. The empanada had a nice crisps to it and once you've bit in your mouth is met with the oozing, delicious cheese and salty salami. I really enjoyed my meal here. The people here are really friendly and helpful. I was created right as I walked in. There's not a lot of seating area so there's probably a lot of takeout orders here, although I was able to dine in since the place wasn't super busy at the time of my visit. I really enjoy restaurants like this that offer something different to the area and with good execution. The prices here are really reasonable as well. The lot was pretty large so I had no problems finding parking during my visit
