I occasionally buy pan dulce here for the taste and freshness, and they taste better to me than other bakeries that sell pan dulce I've tried around North County , except I haven't found a place here that I like as much as the ones from SA TX of the marranitos (shaped like a piggy bread) but today the breads did not taste fresh, so that was a disappointment. Nice bakery. Checked out this spot after looking up Mexican Bakeries in the area. Clean small store with one wall which had cabinets filled with baked goods. Grab a plastic tray and tongs to the left of the glass counter and the cabinets are on the right-side as you walk in. The counter glass display had various refrigerated cakes. There was a white company van parked out front. Said they do farmer's markets. Asked about the Elote bread that another yelper mentioned they liked. The man at the front was nice and went to the back to grab one and show me as there weren't any in the cabinets. It was sugar dusted and had a brown filling. I liked the other breads more, but my family like the elote bread. Picked out a variety to try. Don't know all the names. Most of the breads we chose were perfectly light and soft, not dry inside. There was one rounded one that was yellow split topped and dense. The pink topping had a light strawberry flavor. The conchas were light and soft. Prices are hand written next to each item in the display cabinets. They take Credit Card and cash. Would go back if we're ever in the area. read more

It did smell good when I entered. I bought 7 pieces of pan Dulce and it costed me $12.50 . The strawberry coconut ball did not taste as good as other places. The other pan also did not taste as good and were expensive. The conchas were the only ones that were good i tried 2. I can say I tried it and will probably not return with those prices. read more

I got a tres leches sheet cake from here for about $100 and it was the best tres leches cake I have had in North SD county! This cake had the original taste to it and reminded me of what my grandma would make when I was younger. You are getting amazing service, an attentive approach to your order and a fresh cake that tastes delicious. They also sell bread and other small desserts, their pan dulce and rosca during Kings day is fabulous. Can't recommend them enough! read more

This is my favorite local panadería. It's always super clean. The workers are friendly and the pan is delicious. I'm a sucker for their elote pan. I go in there and buy 5 at a time cause my kids took after me the food and champurrado is also good! The only thing that sucks is that sometimes I want their pan to get through Mondays and then remember it's closed. But that's on me for not getting it ahead of time on Sundays. The best part about the owner is that he gives back to the community which is very important. The bakery is a family owned business. They are especially accommodating for special event orders, including this adorable, moist and yummy cake they made for my daughter's birthday. This is a family owned business and they are always friendly when answering the phone to when I walk in. We are not local but when we go visit family we make sure we make a stop. Very easily a 5-star bakery! I would give a Michelin star if I could! The bakery is very clean! The bread is always very moist and not overly sweet which I love. My all time fave are the empanadas de piña, with the perfect amount of piña filling while still being soft and moist. Bought a bag of their assorted Mexican breads at a farmers' market. Just $5 for a 20 oz bag of six large, fresh, yummy pastries. The bag was clearly labeled with the list of ingredients, business contact info and even their county business permit number. I stopped by Monday & couldn't resist their banana bread - it was delicious, and we've enjoyed it for dessert all week! I'll be stopping by every time I'm near Vista to try out their other pastries and breads. The entire store was so clean and smelled so good, and all the pastries are carefully displayed in lovely glass front cabinets so they can be seen but not touched. The gentleman who helped me was quick to come to the front to serve me and very helpful. Can't wait to try out all the other tarts, breads and wonderful looking pastries. French pastries, cakes, cupcakes, strawberries cover chocolates, cheesecakes, pops, and so much more. A fair and reasonable prices!
