I stopped by and had a bit of a mixed experience. On the positive side, the space is fantastic, it's inviting with plenty of tables, making it a great spot to sit and relax or get some work done. The service was also good and the staff was friendly throughout my visit. However, rhetorical dood was a bit of a let down. I tried the cinnamon roll, and while the staff was kind enough to heat it up before serving, it was just okay. Some parts were surprisingly hard, which made it less enjoyable than i expected for a dessert lounge. It's a nice place to hang out, but the pastelry quality could definitely be more consistent.

The cakes look like work of art!

Cute little cafe tucked into the corner of a shopping plaza- ample parking, indoor and outdoor seating and free WiFi. Add to that pretty good drip coffee (I didn't try any of the fancier drinks) and delicious baked goods- you have a winner! The staff is very nice, not pushy but happy to answer questions. PS- This place is a must visit if you are in the area and need a coffee break! They have an ice cream/gelato machine but it was broken when we visited.

I really enjoyed this spot The ambaince is nice because it is sort of tucked away in the corner. The matcha iced tea is so delicious, and their terrimesu is delicious. Next time I come back I need to try the cheesecakes because they look so good. I got a bagel with cream cheese and the bagel was too toasted for my liking, and I think I saw a sign they make their own bagels and they were just okay. Also we told the worker we were staying in and they gave us our food in to go containers, idk if that's normal but I wanted to feel relaxed and enjoy to stay but instead I felt a tad pushed out. I do want to go back to try some of the food and other drinks

Stopped in on the way to a dinner party and picked up some cheesecakes. Nice selection of mini cheesecakes. Service was great. Shop has several selections along with coffee and drinks. Decent sized place with seating.

Great desserts and coffee! Had a carmel iced lattee and my daughter had a fruity pebbles boba drink. Both tasted good. Had raspberry dessert and carrot cake and presentation was so pretty with whip cream and a few flowers. Staff was very friendly!

I stop by here regularly since I get a haircut nearby and I really enjoy the coffee and desserts here! The inside is a very cute vibe and the workers here are always so nice! They have a good selection of your regular coffee shop pastries but also a lot of great cakes and gelato Definitely recommend if you're looking for a sweet treat

I really like this cafe! The coffee and toast were really good. I had the LaVa Latte one day and the Vietnamese coffee the next and both were amazing. I really liked the toast options, I had the Tokyo toast one day and the chimichurri toast the other and both were really good. The workers both days I was there were all really nice, friendly, and helpful. The cafe was also really nice with lots of table space, free WiFi, outlets, and even a printing station. I didn't get a chance to try any of the desserts but they looked really cool!

Skybound Coffee + Dessert Lounge was a great afternoon stop for coffee. They had a nice selection of desserts -- all looked delicious! Unfortunately, they weren't serving gelato at the time, which was a bit of a letdown. Still a cozy spot with tempting treats.

Been here many times and it never disappoints. Their beverages, coffee, teas, gelato & pastries are consistently delicious and on point. We've never been disappointed or left unsatisfied. The service is consistently good, the employees have been friendly and the drinks always come out in a timely manner. Also, great layout as far as seating. There's 4 different areas. Outdoor out in front, inside on couches, in the middle of the place there's tables and finally a high top counter with bar stools facing the outside window. Definitely a place where to can just chill, do school work or work. It's a hidden gem that we love going to. Highly recommend!

Disintegrating brown sugar boba from Thai tea

Went in for a Thai tea boba and got distracted with the desserts case. The cashier said they were from a local bakery in San Diego. When asked which one she said she's not allowed to say. The Thai tea with boba was watery and way too sweet. The worst part was that the boba was mushy and way too soft. It practically disintegrated I my mouth! Yuck, one of the worst bobas I have ever drank.

Coffee was a bit too sweet but what was most disappointing was paying $18 for a croissant with flavorless eggs and sausage.

Is this place study friendly? Will I be able to take my laptop/books and do some homework(I don't mind the noise)?

Yes! I see students here all the time. The window seats along the side are helpful for not getting distracted facing the rest of the coffee shop. It's not noisy either; just some quirky elevator music!

I would happily make questionable life decisions for another scoop of it. But honestly, what made this experience stand out wasn't just the gelato--it was Venezia. Huge shoutout to her for being so patient while we stood there completely incapable of making a decision. Instead of rushing us, she took the time to help us figure out what flavors we actually wanted and gave us recommendations that absolutely did not miss. She was incredibly sweet, genuinely welcoming, and made the whole experience so much better. And listen, this place is about an hour drive for me. An HOUR. Yet I'm already planning my return trip because the quality of the gelato and the service made it 100% worth it. If you're anywhere near this place, do yourself a favor and stop by. The gelato is ridiculously creamy, packed with flavor, and made with the kind of quality you can taste immediately. Dare I say it... the creaminess might even be better than An's Gelato . 10/10. The menu includes ; creamy gelati, dairy free sorbetti, gelato specialties, love shakes, coffe, cannoli, ice cream cakes, and desserts. There are many flavors to choose from. Everything looked tempting and delicious. Finally, we decided to get flight of four different flavors of gelato. We chose Carlsbad strawberry, Cookies and cream, Bacio, Tahitian vanilla bean. Our waitstaff was headed by Kap & he did an excellent job. Told us to check out the happy hour menu since it was almost over, so we could get appetizers in at a reduced price. Ordered the calamari (crunchy, yet tender), bruschetta caprese (piled high with mozzarella & basil & chopped tomato), Caesar salad (crisp greens with a garlicky Caesar dressing), meatballs (2 large in a marinara sauce - so tender). They also have sliced warm bread on the table with olive oil/balsamic or butter. The drinks were perfect - nice and chilled and crafted perfectly. Kap also made a great recommendation on a bottle of wine. The menu has changed though. Some of our favorites have disappeared... (seafood risotto), so tried other dishes. Carbonara is so rich & creamy. The pizza margharita was cooked perfectly with a nice crust, but was a little lackluster in taste (not enough cheese maybe?). I did order a side of pesto to add some flavor. The lobster ravioli is always great here, so 2 people ordered it. Added chicken to the vodka penne (grandson's plate was completely emptied). Also had a fettuccini Montanara. Everyone but the grandson had leftovers to take home, so servings more than adequate. Kap really made the dinner perfect. Attentive without being over-bearing & making great recommendations throughout. Will definitely be back.

It was basically just whipped bananas with chocolate and walnuts in it. Raw ice cream, if you will. It was delicious, and I felt good while eating it, because it was basically just three nutritious ingredients. Because you asked, I'll tell you: One of the reasons why I don't like ice cream is because it's like eating cold mucus. There, I said it! The only exception is if the ice cream has "stuff" in it to give it some texture and crunch. Some of the gelato flavors at GelatoLove had stuff in them, which was nice to see. I almost got a berry cheesecake job, but it was too smooth. Mostly, this gelato place is for smooth mouth-feel lovers, as GelatoLove prides itself on the smoothness of their gelato. They will give you samples, so feel free to try out some flavors that sound intriguing. I tried a spicy chocolate, which was weird and wonderful. There are some nice seating options in the shop. But there are also lots of places to sit and eat your gelato outdoors, whether it's the tables right outside of the entrance, or the many places to sit in Carlsbad Village Faire, where GelatoLove is located.

I've had the Italian Dream (vanilla chocolate and cashew bits - delicious) and the lemon sorbet (tart and light and fantastic). All the samples I tried were fabulous. Also really liked the vanilla with cherries in it. They use allulose, an alternative sugar as their sweetener. Supposed to be less caloric and less impact on blood sugar. Great addition to the area - just down the row from Prager Brothers.
