I stopped by and had a bit of a mixed experience. On the positive side, the space is fantastic, it's inviting with plenty of tables, making it a great spot to sit and relax or get some work done. The service was also good and the staff was friendly throughout my visit. However, rhetorical dood was a bit of a let down. I tried the cinnamon roll, and while the staff was kind enough to heat it up before serving, it was just okay. Some parts were surprisingly hard, which made it less enjoyable than i expected for a dessert lounge. It's a nice place to hang out, but the pastelry quality could definitely be more consistent.

Cute little cafe tucked into the corner of a shopping plaza- ample parking, indoor and outdoor seating and free WiFi. Add to that pretty good drip coffee (I didn't try any of the fancier drinks) and delicious baked goods- you have a winner! The staff is very nice, not pushy but happy to answer questions. PS- This place is a must visit if you are in the area and need a coffee break! They have an ice cream/gelato machine but it was broken when we visited.

I really enjoyed this spot The ambaince is nice because it is sort of tucked away in the corner. The matcha iced tea is so delicious, and their terrimesu is delicious. Next time I come back I need to try the cheesecakes because they look so good. I got a bagel with cream cheese and the bagel was too toasted for my liking, and I think I saw a sign they make their own bagels and they were just okay. Also we told the worker we were staying in and they gave us our food in to go containers, idk if that's normal but I wanted to feel relaxed and enjoy to stay but instead I felt a tad pushed out. I do want to go back to try some of the food and other drinks

Stopped in on the way to a dinner party and picked up some cheesecakes. Nice selection of mini cheesecakes. Service was great. Shop has several selections along with coffee and drinks. Decent sized place with seating.

Great desserts and coffee! Had a carmel iced lattee and my daughter had a fruity pebbles boba drink. Both tasted good. Had raspberry dessert and carrot cake and presentation was so pretty with whip cream and a few flowers. Staff was very friendly!

I stop by here regularly since I get a haircut nearby and I really enjoy the coffee and desserts here! The inside is a very cute vibe and the workers here are always so nice! They have a good selection of your regular coffee shop pastries but also a lot of great cakes and gelato Definitely recommend if you're looking for a sweet treat

I really like this cafe! The coffee and toast were really good. I had the LaVa Latte one day and the Vietnamese coffee the next and both were amazing. I really liked the toast options, I had the Tokyo toast one day and the chimichurri toast the other and both were really good. The workers both days I was there were all really nice, friendly, and helpful. The cafe was also really nice with lots of table space, free WiFi, outlets, and even a printing station. I didn't get a chance to try any of the desserts but they looked really cool!

Skybound Coffee + Dessert Lounge was a great afternoon stop for coffee. They had a nice selection of desserts -- all looked delicious! Unfortunately, they weren't serving gelato at the time, which was a bit of a letdown. Still a cozy spot with tempting treats.

Been here many times and it never disappoints. Their beverages, coffee, teas, gelato & pastries are consistently delicious and on point. We've never been disappointed or left unsatisfied. The service is consistently good, the employees have been friendly and the drinks always come out in a timely manner. Also, great layout as far as seating. There's 4 different areas. Outdoor out in front, inside on couches, in the middle of the place there's tables and finally a high top counter with bar stools facing the outside window. Definitely a place where to can just chill, do school work or work. It's a hidden gem that we love going to. Highly recommend!

Disintegrating brown sugar boba from Thai tea

Went in for a Thai tea boba and got distracted with the desserts case. The cashier said they were from a local bakery in San Diego. When asked which one she said she's not allowed to say. The Thai tea with boba was watery and way too sweet. The worst part was that the boba was mushy and way too soft. It practically disintegrated I my mouth! Yuck, one of the worst bobas I have ever drank.

Coffee was a bit too sweet but what was most disappointing was paying $18 for a croissant with flavorless eggs and sausage.

Is this place study friendly? Will I be able to take my laptop/books and do some homework(I don't mind the noise)?

Yes! I see students here all the time. The window seats along the side are helpful for not getting distracted facing the rest of the coffee shop. It's not noisy either; just some quirky elevator music!

Walking up there was a bit of a line but it was moving at a fair pace. It gave us the opportunity to really read the menu above the register well. There's both outdoor and indoor seating. And both areas were pretty full with a bustling vibe. There were specialty drinks so I wanted to try the Pistachio latte but they were out so we ended up trying the Left Coast latte, Vanilla Bean latte, a plain bagel and Lil Dippers. The lattes were wonderful. Smooth and tasty. The Lil Dippers (mini burritos) were pretty substantial and the plain bagel surprisingly was the best we've ever had at any coffee place. SO good! Great taste and perfect texture. It was unfortunate though that the cream cheese cup that comes with it didn't suffice. It wasn't at all enough for a good ratio. And to think that at one point my bagel was forgotten by the employees. I would've missed out! Overall, we're so glad we went, it was worth it!

Definitely a great space to work, study, meet up with a few friends or family. A few tables inside and outside for seating options. This is probably the easiest location to find parking though! The barista we recently experienced was kind but definitely needed help as it was just her taking orders and making drinks. It did take a while to get everything made and we even had to give our order multiple times for each item for her to process it in their POS system. If it was busier it would have been an even longer wait, thank goodness it was just us. I love the Jimi Hendrix as my usual, but I decided to switch it up once I saw they had brown sugar spice latte on their seasonal menu. It was as delicious as expected. Not as strong as the Jimi Hendrix, but just as flavorful. My husband has his regular latte and loved it as usual. We just love their specific coffee for espresso. Their baked goods here are as lovely as other locations. Everything is made in house too. I love their variety of options, especially their vegan/gluten free options. Something for everyone! I had the raspberry gluten free muffin and my husband had the jalapeño cheddar cheese croissant. Couldn't even tell the muffin was gluten free it was SO moist! I was lucky to get a bite of the croissant before my husband devoured it all. Definitely made in house and a real layered croissant. Love their theme at this location too due to being close to the Carlsbad McClellan-Palomar airport!

It's a very small but cute place, a miniature of the bigger Pannikin off Highway 101 in Encinitas. There's a couple of small tables on its patio and more inside. It's a great place to meet a friend or two for coffee. I went 2 days in a row, Friday afternoon and mid-morning on Saturday and both times weren't busy at all. The baristas are warm & friendly, and gave us a choice of using ceramic cups and/or plates if dining in or to-go containers. Their coffee is one of the best around and they sell their coffee beans here. They also have various baked goods they make on site which I was excited for, because their scones are my absolute favorite, especially the raspberry. So happy to have found this place and recommended it to family and friends. We'll definitely be back!

The esthetic is really nice and as good as the coffee. It looks like they have seasonal offering that changes with the four seasons of the year. For spring seasonal I had a pistachio latte. I really liked what I can only assume is their in house syrup. Think Starbucks pistachio latte, but two times better. This coffee place is for those who don't do Starbucks. Vanilla flat white was just as good. I would say Carlsbad for coffee this place is a must stop.

Hiya B.U.M.S., Let's…read moreget something out of the way first: I don't like coffee. I know, I know. It's a latte to take in. My wife, on the other hand, is a total caffeine fiend. But here's the kicker--she orders her coffee plain, simple, and black. To me? It tastes exactly like every other coffee in the world. (Don't bean me, it's just the truth!) Despite my lack of enthusiasm for bean water, we recently checked out Revolution Roasters, and I figured it was time to espresso my thoughts on the place. Spoiler alert: It was a pretty brew-tiful experience. Since I'm not a coffee guy, I let my wife handle the beverage department. She ordered an Iced Cold Brew and gave it an enthusiastic thumbs up. She said it was really good, which means Revolution Roasters is definitely doing something right to keep the coffee purists happy. Now, onto my territory, the White Chocolate Scone was a hit with the wife because it wasn't too sweet. If you prefer your pastries without a side of sugar shock, this is the one for you. However, full disclosure: if you're standing there debating between this scone and the savory pot pie from the shop right across the way... I'm going with the pot pie. Sorry, scone. I also ordered the Berry & Cream Cheese Toast, which was the real MVP. Again, it wasn't overly sweet, and they nailed the ratio. There was a perfectly even, generous spread of cream cheese and berry topping. Highly recommend! Revolution Roasters is located in a super cool, market-style space filled with other neat little shops. It makes for a great, lively atmosphere. When we walked in, the line was pretty long--clearly, the secret is out. But don't let a crowd deter you! The service was incredibly smooth and helpful, and they've got the operation down to a science. Plus, despite the crowd, there was actually adequate seating for a ton of people. We didn't have to play the awkward "hover around a table until someone leaves" game. While the vibes are immaculate, there is one tiny logistical hurdle. For a coffee shop that gets this busy, there is only one bathroom. If you've just downed a large iced brew, you might have to practice some patience. All in all, Revolution Roasters ground its way into our good graces. Between the smooth service, the cool market atmosphere, and food that hits the spot, I could definitely see us filtering back in here again soon. Whether you love coffee or you're just there for the toast, it's well worth a visit!

I was a little confused when Waze led me to an office parking area where I spotted an umbrella and what looked like a coffee stand. Undeterred, I parked and ventured over. It was the most unique, unusual and memorable coffee experience I've ever had. This place is for true coffee and espresso aficionados. The man working the kiosk referred to the place as a wine bar for coffee as the coffee is prepared, discussed and poured the same way fine wine is. If you love Starbucks, do not go here! If you love thoughtfully and artfully well prepared single Origen coffee, this place should not be missed. Ideally, the coffee should be ordered, prepared and consumed without dairy products so that you truly taste, experience and enjoy all the flavors. Ideally, it would be best to purchase a pour over, and they have a menu dedicated to them. It should be on every coffee and espresso addicts must go to list. I highly recommend it and I'm excited to enjoy the beans I bought at home.
