My daughter went and her friends, saw mold on a few pieces of fruit that were in the closed displays where you independently choose and get your item. Not a fan of the public reaching in and choosing reaching over and possibly touching other items. They were out of trays and had a huge stack of dirty trays but no clean ones. Ppl had to put there item on a napkin. They pointed it out to me and yup it was moldy fruit on three different pastries. Was gross. No trays so we left. Even with a coupon it wasn't worth waiting for trays, since they were stacked in the dirty area and no one was attending to them, it didn't seem anytime soon. Stumbled upon this place in my way to work. I wanted something savory so I tried the ham cheese croissant. I ended up getting a small custard with raspberry too, because why not and a small coffee. A clean shop for a delicious pastry and good coffee. Indoor dining had quite a few tables used for morning chats and a calm Thursday morning. Reminds me of a French 85 degrees but just as delicious. Really easy to collect your pastries as soon as you walk in and everything is labeled. Can order drinks, cakes, cold pastries at the counter. The staff is really welcoming and kind to customers so it's an extremely pleasant experience overall. It can get quite busy at this location so don't expect seating unless you go early in the morning or late afternoon. I have been here multiple times and the Croissants are always over-baked and dry. The other pastries are hit and miss. When you can get one that is not over-baked then they are great, but most of them are over baked. One time I sent a croissant back and spoke to the manager about it , but that was over a year ago and they are still over-baking them. What I enjoy most about their fare is that it's generally lighter, fluffier, and less sweet than typical American bakeries---but with superior quality across the board. Whether it's a raspberry almond croissant, the egg salad sandwich wrapped in two thick loaves of fluffy white bread, or a slice of blueberry cake, you really cannot go wrong. I'm here about once a week, and I've tried nearly everything and enjoy it all. If you need a cake for a birthday, work event, anniversary, etc., this is my first choice. They also have some delicious and creative offerings around major holidays that are for a limited time only. Sadly, I missed the Halloween Cake I was eyeballing, but plan on snagging one this year in October. Oh, and they offer cards and candles which is a convenience I can appreciate. The sandwiches are excellent, but if they have cheese, ask them to heat them for the best flavor. Because of the respectable array of sandwich offerings, consider stopping in for lunch or a quick dinner to go. One thing you might miss is the roll-cakes in the cooler on the right side of the store. They're an extremely light and airy cake, not too sweet, and often fruit-themed. They're probably my new favorite sweet treat and perfect after a heavy meal, paired with a cup of decaf coffee or a loose-leaf green or jasmine tea. Also, great as a gift. Coffee is always fresh, hot, and not too strong (like Starbucks), and not too weird (like many of the hipster places near the beach). Decor is reasonably comfortable and cozy, all while the establishment is impeccably clean. It does get quite busy, but don't let that deter you---the line moves fast. Other reviewers will compare Paris Baguette to 85C, but to me, it's not even close: Paris Baguette all the way. A lot of what 85C offers is greasy, and I just can't do greasy. Paris Baguette tastes like real food, made with love, where 85C trends more towards fast food (at least in my not-so-humble opinion). Glad you all came to town! See you soon. read more

Love Paris Baguette! We first came here for my birthday last year. We happened upon it while grocery shopping next door. We got some treats.
