I LOVE this salon!!! All the stylists are very TALENTED and very PROFESSIONAL.The facility and practices are exceptionally CLEAN. I've had both manicures and pedicures here and NEVER has anyone been pushy about add-ons as mentioned in another review. Also their prices are very reasonable and comparative to other local salons - again whoever is saying otherwise I'd seriously question the true reason they are posting something at all. read more

I had gone here a few times, though this past experience I had is really frustrating. I had to wait for over 30 minutes. The gel manicure I got (not even 1 week old now) is bumpy, chipping, and I have to go get them done again tomorrow (elsewhere). If I could give this place zero stars I would! First let me start by I always get my nails done, but this is the first time I have been here. I was heading on a cruise and wanted to look extra good so I splurged and went for a more expensive (50$) pedicure. It started off by two ladies arguing over how to fill the tub for my feet, the water was freezing! I asked her to kindly heat it up and she repeated it would get warmer, over and over! It took the other lady to come over and help get the water hot. Then they both realize that they never put the soap in the tub for my feet so it can bubble , so instead of running a new bath and doing it right she just put the soap in the calm water and put her hand in it and mixed it around.... (This did nothing) At this point I'm alittle worried already and I actually blame myself for not leaving... but it gets worse, way worse. Fast forward, I get myself to finally relax in the chair after my very hectic unrelaxing introduction into my pedicure and I am greeted with a super sharp pain, which made me just about scream. She had been cutting my toes and instead of cutting off my hang nail (which wasn't bad) she decided to pull it off...OW! I didn't scream that time but I did tension up which she noticed and I said, normally you just cut them can you please not pull it...on to the next foot, I was playing on my phone when she decided to pull my big toe hang nail off, I was shocked and it hurt so bad I SHOUTED OW .. I'm not the type to make a scene so this was really embarrassing for me... a bunch of employees came over and even showed her how to do it right but no one thought to take over and not let her continue, I sat crying with my head down because of the pain , with a bloody toe. Now this was my fault once again for not leaving but really fast we moved onto my manicure which I just wanted a simple French painted manicure but I had 4 people pressure me into the dip polish... when I saw pressure legit stood over me telling me I was stupid if I didn't get it. .... A new lady (not the pedicure one) did my nails and they were great other then the fact that she cut me four times in the process. I finally left after a 106$ bill not including tip with 5 cuts total and a sore toe, that not one manager apologized for! TO HAVE TO COME BACK 15 minutes later because THEY PILED ON MY NAILPOLISH SO BAD ON MY TOES THAT IT ALL CAME OFF! What the fuck, the guy fixed it and was super nice and they all apologized then that she hurt me because I finally was really upset. But now, I'm sitting on my cruise with a swollen finger and another 200$ medical bill because the women that did my figure nails gave me a nasty infection by cutting them, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR FUCKING UP MY DAY AND TAKING MY MONEY.... I don't recommend getting a pedicure here for the price and the service is awful. There are different types of pedicures to choose from and honestly my opinion there should be one type of pedicure. This place is very pushy in adding additional products or massages just for an extra buck and that I am not a fan of. "Do you want to add your removing your calluses or would you like the bottom of your foot scrubbed?" What? The point of a pedicure is exactly for those reasons from what I understand.... seems as though this place is more concerned with making extra money on anything they can possibly add on. I'm surprised they don't charge additional for nail clipping! read more

I have to be honest, I'm really shocked at the poor reviews here. I've been coming for gel manicures and regular pedicures for at least 6 months and have never had a bad experience. I have had my nails done by every person in the shop and have only had one mediocre manicure; the rest were excellent. I think they have a great selection of colors, lots of OPI (my favorite) and other brands too. When they didn't have the color I was looking for, the owner added it. They are always friendly and do a good job, even right before closing. Best of all, the price is only $25 (+tax), which is the best I've found in CT. I'm not typically one to publically give bad, bad reviews. But my trip to this salon left a very sour taste in my mouth. It was over priced for poor quailty of product. The staff was nice enough but for that kind of money, I need them to give me something more than a few nice words. I got a UV Gel manicure that chipped off in 2 days (without doing any extra lifting). This was definitely not worth the fee they charged for it. I've had the Gel nails before that have lasted weeks. This was just sad. I went with a friend and got pedicures and I stayed for the extra manicure. I was actually pleased with my pedicure and I felt the woman did a nice job. However, my friend recieved a sub-par pedicure at the same time, sitting right next to me. She left out steps and was not certainly not as attentive. Yet they charged me the same price for both pedicures. As for the manicure, I expected something above the basic filing and cuticle treatment. Sadly, I was not treated to such a luxory. And it took forever! I should have expected this type of service upon walking in to the completely empty salon. When I came in they were very nice. I came in to get a fill for my acrylic nails and I showed them what I wanted and the guy and women told me they could do it. So they started doing my nails and I asked them if they could fix the paint and the design they got mad at me. The design barley looked like the way I wanted it. I wanted a silver nail polish on one a finger but instead they put the pink I had on my other fingers with the silver on top. My friend came with me too and her nails looked so horrible. They just threw on a design. She told them she didn't like it and they gave her an attitude. She told them she wanted a different color and different design. They didn't even take off the nail polish they just covered it with another color that was a total different shade. She told them she didn't want a design on her fingers after but they still put one on and it didn't even look good. It was slanted and looked like a child drew it on. I would never go back there again and I would never recommend anyone to go there. Never had such horrible service in my life. read more

Do NOT GO here! Looks like they try and water down the polish. The polish is very old also. Very little selection. They actually stock Sally Hansen!, Very little OPI, No Essie. They charge you .50 extra to use a credit card..Crazy! Legal???? They try and compliment you, but do horrible manicure/pedicure. I actually had them remove the polish and give me my money back and went elsewhere. It has all gobbed up, the fan made it leave marks because of the quality of polish. I've been here about 5 times and my nails always end up chipping only a short time after. Regardless if it's a pedicure or a gel manicure. On this previous visit, the nail technician painted over a part of my nail that was chipped and the next day the polish chipped as well. So I went back and explained it to them and asked for it to be fixed. They seemed very annoyed and only painted over the chip part instead of redoing the whole nail. So of course it chips again a couple of days later. It is my fault for going back to them over and over again because of convenience but I will never return after this. I've had gel manicures from other salons that last over two weeks but mine never last over a week tops from Ct nail and spa. They always end up chipping and/or peeleing away from the edges. Extremely disappointed today. My gel fill was crooked on many nails and I got a French manicure, on their Facebook page they have manicure pictures with designs on them. I was told it was either a manicure or color with design but no manicure with design. (French manicure). I have seen many salons do these manicures with designs so this made little sense to me. Though they were not overly busy my tech was seemingly rushing and making mistakes. I complained of the sander hitting my finger because it had a coupl times and by the time I left that finger was cut open in that spot. I had my original gel nails put on here and was not disappointed except to say the same tech had cut my nails much shorter than I wanted so this time I said I didn't not want them any shorter and to please not trim them. He proceeded to sand them down and again it was crooked. I believe his name was Sam. I don't even want to return. I do however want a refund for the 42.00 I spent that I will now have to go spend again somewhere else for the correction. That and then some so I can have the length I should have gotten weeks ago. read more

The people working at this salon are very friendly. They did a good job and I have no complaints there. They don't have a huge selection of OPI or Essie, just brands that I have never seen before. I only come here out of convenience, and I need to stop, the staff is unfriendly, the massage chairs for pedi don't work, so you have these stiff balls in your back the whole time, and even with a gel mani it always seems to chip in 3 days, compared to 14 plus day at the nail salon in plainville. read more

After receiving services from this salon the passed 3 months and realizing they were overcharging me nearly $25 per visit, I will NEVER give them my business again. So dishonest and unethical as a small business. I was paying $40 plus tax and tip for a UV gel fill. Posted in their menu it is $25 for that service. Gone here about 3 times and only been satisfied once. The first time I went I had the owner do them and he did a excellent job. Came back for a fill and had a mediocre experience.. after a week I had 3 nails crack in half.. I went back to get them fixed and I was called a liar and told I haven't been there in 2 weeks. Despite the comment I paid for a fill and he didn't charge me for the broken nails. LITERALLY a week later my pinky nail on my right hand, broke in half again.. This nail salon is a hit or miss. I've gone here because it's right down the road from my house and I do other things in this plaza pretty regularly but I've also been disappointed here more often than not. I like to give a place more than one try- especially places like this with several different service providers. I know the owner works hard to keep his customers happy but a few of the female employees are completely careless - like their only priority is to get you out the door - collect their tip and get back to that important level of Candy Crush or whatever it is that I interrupted on their tablet by walking in to get my nails done. Besides feeling like a complete inconvenience to them, I've had my Gel manicure start to crack and peel off only 3 - three - days after I got them done. It was good before they changed hands a few months ago , went back there twice since . very dissatisfied, got a pedi, said I wanted my nails cut "square" she smiled shook her head up and down as if she understood and went right ahead and rounded my nails dug in the corners like I instructed her NOT to do , painted them and I waited for at least 15-20 to dry under the dryer, wore fip flops out the door only to find the polish had NOT dried, went back had it "fixed" same thing happened, I left disgusted. Pedicures usually cost $12.00 Went back one more time w/ a pic of how I wanted my nails cut, I said cut ONLY, no polish, since my nail bed needed to "breath" ,They tried to "sneak" a full pedicure by me , I had to stop her. Andre tried to talk me into polish ,I explained to them about unhealthy nail beds , he STILL wanted to paint them, much to my dismay they charged me $15.00.
