ARIA POKER ROOM ALLOWS COLLUDING & CHEATING. DO NOT PLAY HERE UNLESS YOU ARE OKAY WITH THAT. THEY WILL KICK YOU OUT FOR REPORTING CHEATING TO PROTECT THEIR "REGULARS". Aria poker room is run very unethically by manager James V. He is a horrible disservice to this poker room and he should not be working here. High stakes regular players are allowed to get away with any collusion or cheating they want as long as they are tipping the floor men & dealers extremely generously to keep their mouth shuts. Floor men are biased (they can accept tips) and they will side with whoever pays them off. A player at my table was working with 2 other players next to him, to triple team & cheat the rest of the table out of their short stacks. This player even said out loud "I can do whatever I want here because I tip them so much" and would give each dealer a minimum of $20 every hand, regardless of if he played the hand. He would tell the two guys next to him to "call and check it down all the way" against every other player on the table so they can catch stuff on the river. This was happening at the high stakes PLO games... Myself & another player reported this, but we were told theres nothing they could do and that we need to leave for making accusations. They told us to call Sean Mccormack (director of poker operations) but the line was dead and never even went to voicemail. This casino allows cheating. They wont even review the camera footage to see what happened because they know we are correct so they just want us to leave and shut up. SAVE YOUR MONEY. PLAY AT THE WYNN!!!! I will be reporting this incident to the Nevada Gaming Control Board. Be careful where you play. Just because its a renounced poker room doesn't mean cheating and scamming and other BS doesn't happen here. read more

Since writing the review, I have gone out to Vegas twice to play poker and I never considered going to play here. I'd much rather spend my time at Bellagio, Caesars, and Venetian than spend another dime here. Played here a few days and overall a really solid experience. One of the best (if not the overall best) poker rooms in Vegas. Super convenient just being able to walk from the room to the tables and spend next to no time hopping on table - would recommend. Wait list for 1/3 NLHE was never more than 10-20 minutes. Dealers are cordial and sharp. Tons of tables, good layout, very clean, plenty of room to move and spread out a bit (not overly packed like Bellagio) and the waitresses are around frequently. Like most poker rooms in town, you'll run into the self-anointed professionals (at a 1/3 table lol) who condescend if you don't play they way they like you to play, and complain loudly to you or the dealer. Players during the weekdays are regulars and moderate skill range. Weekends and late nights you can scope out the easy and/or drunk competition and chip up pretty quickly. read more

I've been trying to play the Aria 1/3 NLHE for the last 8 years. I fly into Las Vegas twice a year and atrocious wait lists are repellent. Aria's wait lists have been abysmal every time I've visited. There are plenty of games around the city where I can maximize my time. Not this time! I made my way to the card room in the afternoon and was delighted to hear there was a seat open. The Floor pointed me towards the table and I was on my way into a sea of people. This room is a bit out of the way from the action of the casino floor; it is very dark and tight with 24 tables. Comparably, Caesars is the opposite: more SF with 8 less tables, bright and spacious. Aria is one of the popular kids with poker players though, so cramming them in makes sense. It's too bad that they don't have much room to expand where the room is located. Dealers were professional and kept the game moving. My table had a good mix of friendly locals and out-of-towners. The locals were the opposite of what I experienced at Bellagio which was a bit of a bro club. Everyone took the game seriously. Skill level was varying. Had a good session along with great conversation and racked up +150%. I'll add Aria to my repertoire, probably shooting for the afternoons to avoid the wait list. read more

1st experience here was great. The hosts were awesome, tablws were good. Small wait but it was no issue. Today however, they had 2 female hosts that were so rude it was insane. The wait was 2 hrs and they were practically telling us not to wait. We waited anyway, when we came to see our place in line, some new ahole told us qe lost our spot and had to wait on line at the bottom. No thanks. If you're local they don't care. So many ways to rate a poker room. If you want to match up against drunk tourists who don't know how to play the game, this isn't the place. Posh-ish atmosphere, attentive and respectful staff, and games that are more competitive than soft. A fair number of regs who you can steer around or try to exploit, up to you. The change to 20 minute levels in the early part of the tournaments moves things along and I think is an improvement. Sometimes there are long waitlists for 1-3 or 2-5. read more

Very nice poker room, probably the most comfortable and well run in Vegas. However due to the aforementioned aspect, there's plenty of regs and local grinders in the room. When my friend and I started a new 2/5 table with a bunch of tourists, I swear I saw the locals table change 1 by 1 to our table itching to soak up some of our tourist dollars! It was like feeding time for the sharks or something. I went to Vegas for the election, and though the trip ended up being a horrible nightmare I will never forget, I did win over $1,300 in the Aria poker room, which covered my expenses and a fuck-this-world donation to the ACLU. I'm a reasonable poker player, which is to say I know basic strategy and play pretty by the book at relatively low stakes tables. The nice thing about these tables, especially in Vegas, is that many people there are happy to part with their money without knowing how to play the game. I played two sessions at the 1/3 nl tables on my trip, buying in for $100 each time. One session I stood up with $450, the other with $1,000. If I sound awfully pleased with myself, it's because I am. This was the most I'd ever won on a Vegas trip. To be fair, I owed a lot of these winnings to one player, an old Chinese man I initially felt sorry for, and who I now believe (or at least hope) just lives in a sick penthouse in the Aria. He kept buying in for $100 at a time and getting rid of it as quickly as possible. My first session, I sat down at 1 in the morning after my friends went to bed and decided I'd stay until the old man got up--figured it couldn't be that late, and it was just too profitable sitting directly to his left. I finally gave up when he asked a server for hot milk at 5:30 in the morning. When I went back eight hours later for an afternoon session, he was still there! He donated money to me and my friend, and he outlasted me again, as we had evening plans. The poker room is between the garage and the guest elevators, so we passed by it every time we got in our car. He was there when we left, and when we came back from dinner five hours later, he was still there! And when we left for the polls at 6 the next morning, lo and behold, he was holding steady. I think at some point, he may have changed his clothes, but he couldn't have slept very much. I sincerely hope he has that penthouse. Even taking winnings aside, though, this was a good poker room, fun and relaxing, with professional dealers and plenty of action. I skipped the hot milk, but I drank a lot of whiskey gingers, my free drink of choice on the casino floor. I'd planned to come back after the election, but I was tilting hardcore and couldn't imagine having fun, even playing hold'em. Next time I'm in Vegas, though, I'd like to circle back to this room, if only to see if my old friend is there. read more

Distracted tournament directors who would rather be on their phone or chatting with co-workers then monitoring their floor. Extremely tight quarters when it came to the actual tournament room. I've been going here for the last 5 years and it's my favorite poker room in town! I visit every month or two and a lot of the dealers and floor people remember me. Great dealers (Barb, Josh, Patches, John, Eric, Peggy, and Bonnie to name just a few, but there are so many more!). My boyfriend and I like to sit together and the floor staff is great at accommodating us by letting us know when there are seats open together. The run a variety of games, both cash and tournaments. There are always regulars there as well as people who may be playing in a casino for the first time. They serve great fresh juices (watermelon is my favorite) and you can order excellent food from a variety of Aria restaurants to be delivered at the table. Comfy chairs and chargers at the table. If I had any area of improvement, it would be that some of the tables can be a little crowded. read more

Epilogue "Listen, here's the thing. If you can't spot the sucker in your first half hour at the table, then you ARE the sucker." On my latest visit, I was grinding at the 1/3 no limit table, where upon a young gentleman with a girl "whom he just met" and a roll of at least a few thousand dollars in Ben Franklins sits him and his girl to my left and throws down $200 under the gun with myself in the big blind. He immediately shoves all in with pocket kings with folding around the table when I happen to wake up with none other than pocket aces. Of course he is dumbfounded when the cards run out and the chips get shipped directly to me from the cage before he can even throw out a bet and he proceeds to go either on full tilt or decides to just gamble straight up by shoving on every hand for at least 3-4 rounds coming up empty each time. During this little all-in spree, the guy takes a liking to my Uniqlo jacket which I had just recently purchased for under a hundred and continually starts bidding to commandeer my jacket for his girl to the point where the entire table including the dealer are coaxing me to make the deal. I let him off easy for $200 since he seems like a nice guy and it's a reasonable charge for my inconvenience and just like that, the literal shirt is off my back whereas the figurative one is off his. I played poker in card rooms around the world (literally). And I would confidently say that the Aria Poker room is my favorite Poker room. This is my current go to place for 2/5 nl + 5/10 nl. Plus 2/5 PLO goes sometimes and gets especially good during the summer. It's a combination of things that make it my favorite: 1. Great staff/dealers that operate it. The dealers are happier and smile a lot more then anywhere else. (I've been living in California and most if not all dealers are miserable and you can see it in their faces...) The floor men and women are outstanding, they always usually make the correct decisions and go out of their way to help regulars. Plus $2 dollar comps adds up especially if you are a regular here. ($3 dollar comps during happy hour 5am-10am) 2. Good action. Games go around the clock 24/7. 5/10 nl goes every day but breaks around 2-3 am. (starts around 3-4pm depending on the day) 2/5 nl (1k buy-in) goes all day everyday 24/7. Usually 6 tables running during peak hours. 2/5 PLO goes pretty much everyday during peak hours. Obviously for 2 1/2 months during the summer everything goes berserk and crazy here. The average player and even some or most of the regulars are pretty bad compared to California regulars at the Commerce and other places. (this is my opinion though and not concrete fact) 3. Nice ambiance and roomy floorspace. The lighting in this place is easy on the eyes. The interior design is pleasant as well. They also don't pack you in like sardines like other casinos especially the ones in California... (Go to Commerce casino and you'll see what I'm talking about) 4. Best looking cocktail waitresses and service. I think this place has the best looking cocktail girls and girls in general lol :). This isn't super important but it sure does help after staring at ugly drunk fat dudes at the poker table all day haha! This place has some of the rudest staff in the whole poker industry. The ladies at the front desk are extremely rude. Just keep talking to each other and doesn't pay attention to any guest asking to be added to the list of games. One was complaining that she doesn't make enough. Would not recommend playing or staying here. I was with a group of 20 people, who regularly come to Vegas to stay and gamble. So this poker room may be run worse then any poker room in the United States . Certainly the worst in Las Vegas . There was a time when they had good people , but currently there are two Ryan's one who manages the other . They make ridiculous choices and decisions . They support the very close group and hold spots for them make decisions in their favor (could mean money ) and frankly are classless individuals . I have had more then one instance in which I have been involved and many more that I have witnessed . The use bullying tactics (I think they think they are the LAPD on a bad day ) . They seem to believe the dealers at all times as they should to the point where a whole table disagree . I guess they are plain immature . Interestingly I had a situation tonight and was having a polite conversation with a (the one of a few ) nice floor person . I was standing just outside and was told by me talking he was going to call security . As a Noir player you would think some respect would be afforded but it was not . Tonight . I was threatened , intimidated , wrongly asked to leave and no one would even put anything in writing . I have video recordings and pictures to back up the majority . Best thing I can tell you is I am done spending a cent at an MGM property after this . Things have happened but enough is enough . Where did the good LV go . Oh and by the way watch closely for people passing cards and working as teams . The management seems to turn an eye on that . I would say in the Fuck people scale they are number one . read more

The best poker room in Vegas with the best dealers. The restaurants you can order food from while sitting at the table are great, especially Lemon Grass. The cocktail waitresses are quick and friendly. And there's always a great variety of cash games to choose from. I've never played the tournament but the structure looks great if you like tournaments. I personally prefer cash games. read more

Since my last review in 2012, the ARIA Poker Room is still the queen of the ball. By that, I really mean the finest poker room on the Las Vegas Strip. Employees are still super friendly, dealers are upbeat, the room looks modernized and clean and they spread NLH and PLO of all limits at all times. Red Bulls are free here along with complimentary FIJI Water Bottles (rest of the casino only gets those mlife water bottles) in addition to your regular sodas, juices and alcoholic drinks. There are also usb chargers for your phone underneath the table felt (chargers not included). I love the 1pm $125 tournament. You get a solid few hours of playing, as long you aren't too bad at the pokerz. I made a FT out of 4 tries over 48 hours. If your looking for anywhere to play poker, the poker room at ARIA is your place to be. I don't even know why people even bother playing at the Bellagio anymore. read more

Clean, Great Staff, and You Can Actually Win! I did great at slots but then lost most of it back. I took what was left and won a few grand on black jack because I always make bank there and then go right back to slots to loose it all over again and I love every minute of it. They keep a nice atmosphere and are quickly on top of anything amiss. I would avoid weekends as it is just a lot more younger drinkers who "know it all" so I plan to revisit week days when more adult like professionals are playing. Thanks Aria you are the best! We think the Aria poker room staff runs some of the best tournaments. When you have a large variety of players there can be issues with different styles of play. We find the staff is consistent and fair. We always play at least one tournament here each time we travel to Vegas. The location is great. The chairs are comfortable. I get the call from my room. "Mr. Williams, we have a seat for you, please come down" I respond "I will be right down..." the poker manager "Sir, are you hungry? Would you like some lunch and or a drink"... Laughingly I said "Sure, how about some some lobster and Kettle & Red Bull, just playin, I'll be right down" I take my seat and hand over some cash, instead of poker chips coming back what do I see? Yup, a freakin lobster meal and a vodka Red Bull. LOL, seriously?! I'm only playing $12-$24 no-limit and I get this kind of treatment? Gotta admit, it was nice. So I excused myself and ate my meal...... I hate when poker players eat at the poker table. If you want to lose track of time go here, I checked my watch thinking a few hours have gone by, to my surprise 8 hours have gone by... sheesh. I had to go before I felt too much like a poker degen ;) Later that night I could not sleep so I go back down to the poker room, and who do I see just chilling chatting with the floor manager? Phil Helmuth, Linda Johnson, Jean-Robert Bellande, & Matt Savage, I hit gold!! I sheepishly walked up to pay my respects, and they were so nice and responsive, I even got invited to a charity event they were putting on there the next day. After hearing the buy-in ($10K) I politely declined stating I was tied up with other commitments..... Like my wallet!! LOL, man what a great experience for me. The rest of my trip I exclusively played here because of the service and I was staying at the Aria, only a few times did I break away to go play at the Bellagio. I have never received such top notch service as I had here. I never feel like I am grinding it out with guys who are playing their rent money, or their child support money, it just really feels like the professional sport that I miss so much. I cannot wait to go back! So thank you Aria Poker Room for making me feel like a millionaire, or at least a thousandaire ;) read more
