I needed my dress altered for a wedding I am attending, and unfortunately I procrastinated really badly on getting that done, but Alitailors came in clutch and was able to take my dress in! I needed the dress to be roughly 3in shorter because I am on the shorter side and also opened up the slit by 1.5in, normally this would take 2-4 weeks but because I was in such a rush, I was able to pick up my dress the next day! It was $125, I was honestly expecting it to cost much more because I thought that there would be a rush fee (there wasn't). The dress looks amazing and you can't even tell that it ever got altered. I've been waiting forEVER to get my joggers sewed up - they had the tiniest hole in the middle, just enough so if I'm gymming or whatever I can feel a slight breeze down there. I was across the bridge n called the first tailor that populated, and they quickly sewed the joggers up. No hassle, nothing complicated. I called in a mere 4 days before I needed a dress for an event. I had an evening gown that's zipper ripped off the dress. AliTailors immediately responded to my request on yelp & had me scheduled for an appointment the same day. I had a great experience at Alitailors! I brought in my two wedding dresses to get a quote for my September 2026 wedding. I have been to other seamstresses/tailors to get quotes and Ali really stood out to me. At other places, I felt judged and pressured whereas with Ali he was attentive and answered my questions with patience and not once did I feel judged for the things I wanted done to my dresses. I loved that he suggested alternatives and showed me what a potential alteration would look like in the mirror. Alterations are extremely stressful for a bride, let alone 2 dresses and I felt like I was put at ease after my experience at Alitailors. I know the standard advice: never mess with tailoring shoulders--just buy a jacket that fits. Totally fair... unless you stumble across an amazing Shanghai Tang piece that's one size too big and priced so well it feels like highway robbery not to buy it. Enter Ali. I brought the jacket in fully expecting a gentle "this is a bad idea," but after the fitting he just nodded and said he could handle it, no hesitation. The quote for reshaping the shoulders, taking in the back, and cleaning up the sleeves was definitely on the higher end but after seeing the finished result? Worth. Every. Penny. The jacket fits like it came off a bespoke pattern. Clean lines, perfect balance, no weird pulling. Honestly, I couldn't believe the transformation. I still wouldn't recommend shoulder tailoring as a first resort, but if you ever find yourself with a too-good-to-pass-up piece that needs serious work, Ali is absolutely the guy you want in your corner. I had such a great experience here today. I called around 5 p.m. to ask if I could stop by with a pair of pants that had a broken zipper. When I arrived, the tailor took a quick look and immediately explained that the zipper actually wasn't broken. He adjusted a few things and fixed it within about five minutes. He also did not charge me anything as it was such a quick fix. I really appreciated his knowledge and honesty. These are my favorite pair of pants, and I had accidentally messed up the zipper earlier at work, so being able to wear them again this week honestly made my day. Long overdue review. This is your local mom & pop alteration shop. I've been here twice and they never disappoint. They even remembered me from when the first time I came in. Very affordable compared to most places & the turn around time is very quick! I've gotten a lehenga altered for a friend's wedding and I had to come back to get my wedding dress altered. :-) Both attire fit like a glove after alterations. Service is great! The owners are super sweet and friendly. Cash or Venmo only! There is a tiny parking lot. Parking can get tricky because the shop is located on a busy street. 10/10 would recommend. read more

Their system is efficient and well run; they gave me a day and time to come back that worked with our schedule, and they texted me 3 days before the promised time to let me know the dress was ready for pick up. Beyond impressed with Alitailors! I took a Patagonia jacket with my boyfriend's school logo embroidered on it to be removed here so I could keep the jacket without the gaudy logo. They were upfront with me about how it may be a bit harder for them to do so since some of the embroidery was still going to be stuck in the jacket. I didn't have any expectations since it was a jacket given to me anyways. I didn't have a timeline so they mentioned they'd get to it within 3 weeks. By the second week, I received a text it was done and when I picked it up, there were just minor fuzz and threads in the jacket that mostly came out within the second wash. I had lowered my expectations since I really thought they weren't going to be able to do it based on what they had said but they executed and delivered nicely and now I have a Patagonia I technically invested only a quarter of the price in thanks to their skillful embroidery removal. read more

Update 5/16/24 Wow!!!! I am super impressed by the quality of work by Ali. First of all, my jeans were ready by Wednesday even though he said he would have it by Saturday. He got it done well over the time estimate he gave me. Amazing. Secondly, the fit is perfect. I mean look at the comparison here of the before and after. It's literally night and day. From 4 sizes too big and literally falling to my ankles to perfectly fitting and sitting perfectly. Lastly there overall quality of work is just well done. I got a dress altered about a year ago (and came out fine) and I suspect bias in the ownership/ management/employees towards customers of a certain 'complexion.' I was told I had to pay before the dress was done, which was fine and I had no complaints. The man helping me behind the desk was also using his phone at the same time, but I didn't judge. However, while I waiting for the man assisting to finish processing my payment, a girl who was of a pale complexion (a different color from me) came in to pay for a service as well. The same man that was processing my payment tells her that she doesn't have to pay until after.......I won't forget that. I had better things to do so I went about my day and told myself that the day I come back for my dress will be my last. That was wrong and I hope management reflects on this and treats customers fairly. I now need another dress altered and this is the closest tailor to my home, but I won't be coming here again because of that incident. I had been turned away when asking for hemming on a pair of designer pants that had a zipper that ran the length of the calf by two different tailors. It was a questionable feat so they asked to hold the pants until Ali could examine them and would update me the next day. Not only did the team accept the job, they kept the designer manufactured zipper intact and completed the job within 24 hours even though there was no rush.
