05 September 26 - Ariani Friends gathered together to celebrate the 83rd birthday of the Birthday Girl. We had reservations and we arrived on time. Plenty of parking available in the private lot. Upon entry we were greeted and immediately seated at our table. Water and menus were quickly brought to our table. Bread & butter soon followed. Our waiter then disappeared for awhile. Although attentive , service was a little slow. It was a Saturday Night however. The interior of the restaurant had murals painted on the walls. Scenes of Italy accented by the maître d' who spoke with an Italian accent. Nice touch of authenticity. The tables had White table linen and the restaurant was divided into two parts with a wall filled with wine bottles dividing the place in two. Also there were side private party rooms to accommodate 8-10 people. Those can be reserved in advance. Our orders were taken and our food was delivered to our table some 20-25 minutes later. I ordered the Stuffed Shrimp Neptune. It was delicious. The food was good , we all agreed and the ambience was lovely , with a touch of elegance. Upon learning we had a birthday girl at our table our waiter and his fellow waiters gathered around our table to sing happy birthday to the birthday girl. She LOVED it. Her face lit up like a 12 year old , ahem , ok , she's 39 , again lol. We liked this place. It deserves a return visit. Good food , ambiance with free parking. It is extremely hard to find the perfect match of Quality (scrumptious) Gourmet Meals and Elite Level Service all wrapped into one and as sure as your taking your next breath and reading this, ARIANI's is the an absolute must. Yari made the best recommendations for each of us and we are truly glad we listened. The dining room manager, a former Chef himself, visited us and he too has already made A few additional recommendations for our next visit and visit here again and again and again is what we are going to do. Simply put, we have not stopped talking about our first and most recent visit, sharing with at least 15 others, and I plan to encourage many others as the opportunity presents themselves. I absolutely love how well we were treated and treated to meals that will satisfy even the most refined and indeed wealthy community members. Come experience what you have been missing. Went to Ariana on Friday for a friend's birthday. I have been there in the past so I was familiar with the restaurant. Ariani's has been in Cape Coral for over 40 years. The restaurant is very dark and needs updating. The waitresses Daniella was very attentive. I had the chicken parmigiana. It came with pasta and spinach. The chicken was delicious and took up the entire plate. The pasta had no taste and the spinach was disappointing. My husband had the Parmigiana trio, which was chicken parm, shrimp parm and eggplant parm. They were all delicious as well but again the pasta and spinach were not. The rolls were hot and yummy. For dessert we shared a cannoli and my husband had a double espresso. Both were great. I will go back again because I like the owners. They both come around and ask if you need anything. A true authentic Italian menu. Chef/owner walks around checking on the customers- nice touch! Food came out piping hot and we really appreciated that as well. Prices were probably appropriate considering the quality. White tablecloths, nice table settings. Sadly there was a man right across from me who wore his baseball cap at the table. Nice place. Friendly owner and waitstaff. Bar could use an upgrade with drink menu but they were able to make it all good. Food: Waiter asked if I like it spicy and said yes but the clam sauce needed a bit of a punch. Shrimp were good and plentiful. Spinach was tasty. Bread was ok and warm which was a plus. Should have had olive oil on table. The others liked their food like chicken & veal parm, pastas, etc. even the kids meal with chicken fingers looks amazing The table was set for 12 and it was a great layout. This is one of those places that you ask yourself, why haven't I been here before? The ambience was lovely. Our server, Cameron was outstanding! The owner walking around greeting people was great! We started out with the salads. I had the Caesar and for my meal I had the Salmon Oscar and my husband had the house salad with Chicken Parmesan. I had a Cosmo and a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. The key to this restaurant is ordering the right thing. Twice I struck out. The menu description of Chicken Ariani sounds appealing: eggplant, prosciutto, fontina cheese, marsala sauce. What could be bad?! It's great to have all this stuff topping the chicken, but when the breast is too thick and virtually flavorless, no amount of toppings make a difference. Add to this, pieces of tendon or cartilage I spit out and well .... I wasn't thrilled. So when the chef/owner made his rounds -- which I see now is a gimmick -- I told him very nicely, why I didn't like my meal. He said, "it's one of our most popular dishes," before turning on his heels and yukking it up at the next table. So I ate spinach -- very good -- and angel hair (which I asked for instead of fettucini alfredo) and called it a day. T and I shared a slice of limoncello cake (not made in house) which we enjoyed. Note to self: IF we come back, order Chicken Riviera which is pounded thin and delightfully lemony. read more

If you like delicious food, an intimate atmosphere and excellent service, you will love Ariani's! . We had a five o'clock reservation for four and were seated about 4:50. Our waitress Katani suggested the Artichoke Dip to warm us up on this chilly day. It was served warm with toasted bread and was gooey and cheesy and full of artichokes. I had the mussels Fra Diablo- full of mussels, shrimps and melt in your mouth fish in a red broth over spaghett! What a treat. Dave had the seafood paella and it was orzo with lots of seafood, chicken and sausages. Both of us had doggy bags to take home! We ended with coffee and cappuccino. Our waitress went out of her way twice for us. Once by bringing extra sauce for our friend's spaghetti. Then bringing our friend a second cup of coffee because she had forgotten to bring the sweet and low right away. Haven't been here in more than a year and it was just as good this time around !! Walking in... all the Italian smells rush at you all at once. The decor is quite a tribute to their past in Italy. They even have a very cool video showing different Italy scenes on the TV in the bar area. After seeing that.... I am ready to go to Italy !!! We met friends there, everyone loved their meals. Seva was our server and was very pleasant & accommodated every meal alternative request. My husband had the Penne pasta with a meatball & a sausage, which was tasty and the meats were moist & flavorful. Our friend ordered the Chilean Sea Bass, which she said was delicious and she ate it all. . No leftovers for her as she thought there would be due to the large portion. . I ordered the Escargot with a DELICIOUS tarragon cream sauce. It's my favorite and I order it most times we go there. It tasted fabulous BUT..... for the price at $14.00 I thought there should have been a few more escargot on the plate. It was kinda chintzy on that plate portion. Would I order it again.... Oh, Yes, I will. I even asked to take some sauce home, which Seva promptly got some for me. They serve dinner only.... Starting at 5:00. Came with friends who have lived in the area for a number of years now... the owners are originally from Croatia and are hands on at the restaurant. We enjoyed the Italian wedding cake martini (vanilla vodka, coco cream and pineapple juice- AMAZING!!) Our appetizer consisted of their delicious hot artichoke and spinach dip served with mini crustini breads- did not disappoint! Main course.... I enjoyed the chicken piccata served with spaghettini and probably the best side of flavored spinach I've ever had! The atmosphere was very inviting for an intimate dinner and the pace was appropriate for the evening. We took a cannoli hole for dessert, but I am going to try some of the other amazing desserts next time! Our server Sarina was fantastic! The food is usually always very good here, however this was our fault for going on Christmas Eve crazy night early reservation at 6:00 didn't get seated till 6:15 in front of the house was borderline unaccommodating I'll say. It could have been nicer they needed more waiters and waitresses... We were a table for nine and two of our people were stuck in traffic so they didn't would not seat us. And they realize that we were in a room and they said okay you can be here but you have to be out of here by 8:00 we have another reservation. It was just very disappointing I can go on and on of the atrocities that happened. Doesn't mean I'll never go there again but certainly never again on Christmas Eve. In town for a training program for 10 days, staying at an Airbnb, and my hosts recommended this place that is a little under the radar in terms of reviews but I am here to tell you - this place is a hidden GEM. Friendly, responsive staff and management await you at the door, with knowledgeable suggestions of daily specials and how things are prepared when it comes time to order. I couldn't pass on the Shrimp Riviera special: Shrimp, pasta, capers, artichokes dressed in a rich, delicious cream sauce, and with the added bonus of Sautéed Spinach that was just off-the-hook good. My fiancé and I decided to try this place with reading all the horrible reviews and I'm so glad we did. Our server Dave was the MAN! He made our time enjoyable and was very professional. Our family went to Ariani for Thanksgiving dinner. It was our first visit. Only one person ordered the holiday meal, while five of us ordered off the menu. The meal and portions were great and the mozzarella and escargot appetizers were absolutely wonderful. I cannot say enough good things about our server, Yari. She was beyond exceptional and made sure that our experience was one for the ages. Checked on us just the right number of times, was phenomenal with our kids, brought us extra sweets at the end, and spent time talking with us about her experience emigrating here from Czechia. We will return and will make sure that it's on a night that Yari is working. This restaurant is a very popular place in the Cape, so I recommend always making a reservation. The environment is very old school Italian and welcoming. I discovered my hands down favorite dish here is Ariani's parmigiana combo. It's chicken, veal and shrimp parm, served with spaghetti. A trademark at Ariani's is sauteed spinach. It's served with everything. And it's good! My friend likes the salmon Neptune and eggplant parm. But wait. You better take half the food home because their desserts are fantastic. We had the tiramisu and ricotta pistachio cheesecake. All the desserts are mouthwatering. Wish I lived closer. They do have a full bar so you can follow up the meal with sambucca and espresso, which is what we love. There are many good entrees and appetizers it's just that I'm stuck on one dish right now. Everyone there is very friendly and you get a family feeling from the place. Dario, the original executive chef and owner, walks the rooms talking with folks and making sure you love the food and want to come back again.
