He was at the house for five hours and found many things that we simply did not know about and never would have found out with his inspection. Communication was good throughout, and he explained in detail what he does and does not do. He arrived early to the appointment and went through all the major systems as well as the roof. The report we received was 34 pages long and came with an appendix of videos that were extremely helpful. We were able to show the videos to the builders so he could fix deficiencies. I would definitely recommend this company for home inspections. You get what you pay for. You can find cheaper inspections, but it is unlikely that they will be as thorough. We were definitely pleased and feel as if he saved us from considerable headache and expensive repairs after we bought the house.

So I'd say she was fair, but not great. But the way she handled collecting payment made me wish I NEVER USED HER SERVICES! My agent set up the inspection through Shelly without telling me payment was suppose to be upfront. In my prior purchases, my home inspections have always been billed through escrow. Since I don't carry checks and didn't want to co-mingle my funds by using a credit card, when I found out I set up a payment to Shelly through my Wells Fargo Bill Pay which they sent payment thought USPS. After several days Shelly advised she hadn't received the check so I told my bank and they stopped payment and were going to reissue another check. When I told Shelly she stated she couldn't wait and needed payment to close out her books by month end. While I still would have rather NOT co-mingle my funds, in order to accommodate Shelly, I called her on Friday the 26th to give her my credit card number. However, I got her voice mail so left message and planned to call back on Monday with my information. The next day I left to make a 4 hour drive to spend less than 24 hours with my family and 7 month old grandson that I haven't seen in 2 weeks! II wanted 24 hours of uninterrupted quality time with my family yet Shelly called me persistently during that 24 hour period including calling me at 8am Sunday morning! Needless to say I did not pick up as I was either driving, having dinner, or napping with my grand-baby. Not quite sure how getting my credit card info over the weekend versus Monday morning would have made a lot of difference, but it felt as if she was just harassing me and trying to make my short 24 hour visit with my family very disruptive. She treated me as if I was going to flake out on a measly $300 payment, which was not the case at all. (Remember, I had already did a bill payment check and stopped payment on it) And she hounded me for payment like a bill collector would do for people that don't pay their bill. Neither of which I am! Her treatment lacked professionalism in every sense! I think she is living inspection to inspection and needs the money, but her professionalism in the way she conducted herself will prevent me from EVER referring her to any of my Realtor or loan officers that I work with.

I needed a home inspection for a new build prior to closing so I called and spoke with Kimberly who was very courteous and friendly. I received a quote with no pressure from her to get an appointment scheduled. At inspection day, Eric Blandin told me what he was looking for during the inspection while I looked around for superficial, cosmetic issues. I received the finished report the same day of the inspection. The report is very thorough and served as an easy punchlist to hand over to our developer for issues to be fixed prior to closing. It turns out, the home is already in good shape, but Eric still identified issues that needed correction If you need a home inspection company, this one totally has my recommendation.

I'm going through the process of my first home purchase in Texas so I found several inspectors with great reviews on Yelp. I wound up going with Anchor, which was a great decision.
