This is the second time I've used Home Inspection Solutions as the first time the deal fell through due to insufficient internet and TV service. As they did a fantastic job on the first home I called them again for my second home. Cliff was very thorough and professional in the evaluation and review. He even saw some concerns I did not notice. The biggest though was the roof. From his report: "This was an older roof and there had been some granular loss from each slope and several repairs of broken tabs. Also, there was one (1) broken shingle tab. Recommend a roofer be consulted for further evaluation and/or repairs and to check for other repairs that may be needed at that time." Based on his report the next morning (the date of this review) my real estate agent asked his roofer to check. The roofer advised that the seller to have their insurance adjuster evaluate the roof. Now just waiting for the seller to respond. Even though there were other items needing attention (which can easily be resolved after move in) the roof is by far the biggest item. We have used Home Inspection Solutions twice now for both our own home inspection and for my parents home inspection. Cliff is very thorough and knowledgeable. He works very efficiently but will also take the time to explain things and answer any questions as he works his way throughout the property. His reports are very timely as well as he understands the critical nature of providing a quick turn around with a short window for closing. He has also been very flexible with scheduling and is very accommodating when there is an issue, such as utilities not being on when he is scheduled to inspect. He has years of experience and can anticipate common issues and does a great job with coaching you through the process when there is a hiccup along the way with the seller/realtors. Cliff is also just a really nice guy, very professional and respectful, and his wife Sherri is delightful and responsive with scheduling. If could give ten stars I would. I needed an inspector, any inspector so I called everywhere, on Friday at 11:30. They are available mostly on Monday or Tuesday but I do an appointment online at 12:30 and Sheri Wills call me at 12:44 and available at 2:00pm, amazing!! Cliff was awesome. He was very friendly and explained everything he was doing and why. He wasn't afraid of getting dirty. When I got his final report it was detailed and categorized based on severity.
