Great Korean grocery store located in Bethel Plaza! We swung by on a Saturday evening for ingredients to create Korean Fried Chicken (thanks Diana V and Manuela V for preparing the marinade and cooking that delicious dish) and Arirang carried everything we needed. They have an outstanding selection of packaged goods--think sauces, flours, spices, etc in addition to a wide selection of fresh, delicious banchan side dishes. The fish cakes, bean sprouts, and anchovies we purchased were all delicious. There's also extensive offering of frozen items and ramen noodles. Pricing was solid and service was friendly. Just a heads up that their produce selection is a bit small/limited, so plan accordingly if those types of items are on your list. We didn't try the restaurant in the back of the store this time, but the menu looked delicious. Heads up that the restaurant is currently closed every Wednesday and Thursday, though the grocery is open 10am - 9pm on every day except for Sunday (when they're open 10am - 8pm). Overall, an awesome stop for all your Korean grocery needs!

Love this small little grocery store! I usually come here if I need some ingredients for a Korean dish. The cashier/front desk guy has always been kind to me and my friends whenever we come in. They have a small variety of everything, but don't expect to get a whole stocked store with lots of options, especially produce. They have lots of Korean snacks and frozen items. There's a huge ramen/noodle selection and Asian sauces. This is one of the few places in Columbus that has Soju also. They also have a restaurant in the back of the store that has entrees for under $10 which is a steal to me. The ladies who work in the kitchen are phenomenal. The food was soo good I think about it all the time. There's a parking lot out front and you never have to worry about parking.

I really enjoy Arirang. Whenever I need to stock up on Korean food items, I stop by here and spend at least $100! They have everything and I literally get everything! A typical haul for me looks like this: a 40 lb bag of rice, frozen rice cakes, spicy cold noodles, spicy rice cakes, Samyang noodles, pickled yellow radish, kimchi, yogurt juice, yellow curry, and shrimp fries. Whenever I need soy sauce, sesame oil, or gochujang, I pick that up here too. I also like to pick up the pre-packaged side dishes here as well - bean sprouts, radish kimchi, spinach, fish cakes, etc. If you enjoy Korean food, you should definitely stop by Arirang to see what they have in store for you!

Arirang is a mostly Japanese and Korean market. I poked around in here waiting for a restaurant to open. The place isn't that big but has a few interesting areas. It has a cafe in the back. The selection is fairly okay. I first noticed a bad smell upon walking in. It was coming from the cafe in the back. They have very fresh fish here. At the cafe counter you can place an order. They have lots of classic Korean items. It has pictures on the wall so you don't have to attempt to pronounce them. There's also a case with premade items. I thought Arirang is a nice store for looking through. It's got some hard to find items. The selection wasn't as good as other Asian stores but they have the basic stuff.

Love this shop nestled into a strip mall off of Bethel. They have a good variety of food, ingredients, snacks, and Soju (flavors like Apple Mango, Strawberry, Grape, Yogurt, Plain, and a few more). It's nice and the people there are as well. I like to stop in when I'm in the area to grab a couple things and support a small business. Small note to keep in mind-- they don't take AmEx but they do take everything else!

Small Korean grocery store with dining area in back. They offer a limited amount of fresh vegetables and dozen goods, along with Asian snacks and sundries. Sadly I didn't find sesame oil, but I did pick up some chestnuts. There is a $10 minimum to use your credit card.

Tip: Order at the front market checkout and being food order to the kitchen at the back! Check back with the kitchen counter to see if your order has been served. Review: Good price for easy-going Korean Food. Don't get too put off from poor service from the two korean guys (who consistently wore black t-shirts and blue jeans) with manicured brows. The sweet grandmothers will take care of your food in the back.

Kimchi Stew, Bibimbap, and Short Ribs

Amazing, home-cooked meals (love the spicy pork stir fry and soon tofu) accompanied with tons of my favorite ramen selections in their grocery pa of the store. Great cooks who recognize us and always asks how we're doing! I have visited monthly for the last two years! Awesome Kimchi Stew too!

My review is for the restaurant in the back of the grocery store. When it's rainy and I miss my mom's home-y cooking, I choose to come either here or Lotte Supermarket. This is no frill, true-to-Korean, the best we have in Columbus. You first order at the front of the grocery store, then take the ticket to the restaurant in the back and give it to two Korean ajummas. While you wait for the food, you might as well as get some Korean groceries done. Each meal comes with about 6 side dishes (banchan), which all taste homemade. No waitressing and all pretty much self-serve. Food comes out pretty fast. What I usually get: -Ttuk Bok ee -Arirang Gook-bap (spicy beef broth soup) -Bul go gi

Fabulous Korean grocery. Great food court in back. The day I went, some produce wasn't super fresh, but still great.

Ask the Community - Arirang Oriental Market

Recently, when I called in for a carry out, I was told the food kitchen was closed forever. I remember being told this a few years back as well, but it hadn't...not sure what's happening. Is this true?

They reopened 7/22/19. Looks like it might be run by different people (not sure so don't quote me on it), but the menu is the same and the food is still as good!

So I was a little taken back you got a little bit of everything in this location is really small. And the parking is terrible but what can you expect for downtown? I had to take my ticket inside and if you purchased something from one of the vendors, they have to give you a QR code for the parking garage and it's two dollars for parking. We had Indian food and the food was delicious. The young lady behind the counter was so nice. She let us taste the chicken before purchasing our meals. The food in the North market is expensive. It was almost $40 for two people to eat. Then we had Jennie's ice cream afterwards and it was $15 for two scoops of ice cream. Customer service was great as all the vendors were awesome and explained everything to us. Is this something that I would do again know just because of the parking and most of the restaurants inside of Markette is not something that I would normally eat very clean. There is a second floor for you to sit. I don't know if they had an elevator. I didn't see one, but I know there are stairs to the second floor. Very busy long lines and you feel like you have to rush to order something because all lines were so long.
