My dream has finally come true and I couldn't be happier. I've been living in the Victoria Village for roughly seven years and from day one I longed for the day that a new grocery store would take over this corner. Let's be honest, the entire neighborhood was on the same page. Thankfully this May Lucky's officially opened its doors and it's honestly already changed my life - seriously. I love that I can walk over to grab a random item I forgot, or to even save a few pennies on coffee, but maybe spend a few more on something special. This Lucky's has a small parking lot that it shares with the CVS directly across from them. When walking in, you'll pass signage showing daily deals, seasonal items, etc. Once inside the place it is very clean and organized. I like how it flows starting at the produce section and ending with alcohol. The check out is easy with both self check outs and traditional ones. Everyone has been really nice and helpful. I've grabbed everything from herbs and veggies to brownies and other items that catch my eye. All high quality. I have no doubt that I'll be a frequent flier here. Thanks for giving us what we needed so badly!!

Lucky's Market is a new edition to the Short North and surrounding neighborhoods. This is a small market packed with some great food. I've enjoyed their meat and deli area the most. I've also enjoyed their coffee options. Unfortunately, they don't carry many of my go-to grocery items so I still have to go to Giant Eagle for most of my shopping still. However, for some items it is definitely worth checking out. The grocery market options are heating up. I notice a new Aldi is coming to the area. Markets are going to need to do a lot to capture our business.

    Vegan area. Nice selections.

Right off the Neil Ave exit is one of the BEST markets in Columbus! This new location is just what Victorian Village and Columbus's downtown needed. The store is clean, new and well lit. Has a nice urban feel Aisles were organized and items easily found. The produce is abundant, fresh and appealing. The meats were priced nicely (today, a rack of ribs was priced at 6.50!). They have fresh take and bake pizzas (we grabbed a few), small, but nice cheese selection. I bought my entire weeks worth if food for two adults and two doggies (who get their food made by their humans... no kibble for these pups!) for about 175. At Kroger /Giant Eagle that would of cost me about 195-225. So this girl was super happy with what she found at Luckys. It lived up to its name! The cashiers were friendly and helpful, even offered me a tiny cupcake and gave us grand opening reusable bags. Sushi special $5 on Tuesdays. Rotisserie chicken $6 on Thursdays. Big handmade subs $6.99 every day! I love this market! We will be back! And we live way far north of it! Please bring one to New Albany!!!! @luckysmarket

What a welcome addition to the Victorian Village community! This area adjacent to downtown CBus has been without a grocery store for a long time and needed this. Super clean new location that is decorated very nicely. Plenty of parking for this full service grocery store. Great selection of staples, and fresh and prepared food. They have everything you need. Great meat and deli counter. Also have a on-site sushi chef to prepare fresh sushi. On Tuesdays they even have select rolls at $5.00. There is an extensive beer and wine selection and everything else you need to entertain. There is also a very nice produce section. I grabbed a made fresh and hot Italian Sub for only $6.99 and took it back to my office for lunch. It was delicious and a great value. The staff is also very polite and personable. They took the time to answer questions and ensure customers are happy. I will definitely be back and encourage you to check them out if you live or work in the downtown area.

The cheese and jam that were selected for this kit were the perfect compliments to your homemade chorizo and I seriously had to refrain from eating it all in one sitting (I have SOME dignity and self-respect, mmkay? :)). I learned a ton of info from Dustin last night and I can't wait to order from NCC again now that I know a little more about how to build a perfect board. Also another plus: the pork they use is humanely raised! Thank y'all for doing what you're doing. I hope readers out there will support this fantastic local business - especially during these tough times. Their charcuterie kits would make fantastic gifts for the holidays and they're all paired with items from other local vendors!

This little gem in Victorian Village is a must visit for anyone who loves authentic Italian food and stellar service. I came here with my roommates family for a celebratory dinner and had an amazing four course dining experience. I was intimidated at first by the number of courses, but each dish is in a small tasting format. Not only was the food delish but our water was incredible. He took time to go through each dish and explain the ingredients and origin. You could tell he was super passionate about his job and the food there. I'm going to come back to try their cacio pepe that they mix in a cheese wheel in front of you!! 10/10!!

I also noticed unfortunately there was no sitting or lounge area for customers to sit if they are Waiting for a table or waiting for a ride share. If you have to wait you are literally in the way of servers or the opening of the front door. I opted for the "Lighter Fare" menu at $55.00, your only two other choices were a Tasting menu at $110.00 or a Pelino's Dinner at four courses for $69.00. The menu is very limited, there is no A la carte available. Our server was professional & polite & the entire staff was lovely. I ordered : First course :Tornare alle Origini Eggplant, Pachino tomatoes, Castelvetrano olives, Pantelleria capers Main Course: L'Oro Verde della Sicilia Rigatoni, Lemon, Butter with Pistacchio di Bronte Crema Dessert : Semifreddo agli Amaretti Amaretti crumble, Semifreddo with Chocolate Sauce This breakdown comes to $18.00 per course. Looking back even the Lighter fare menu is too expensive especially for only one main course on the nights menu that offers Shrimp on your pasta, not even a protein like Chicken or Beef. The most disappointing part of the meal was the temperature of the food, not even remotely warm for this small restaurant. I had a guest dining with me and their first course of Toasted focaccia, Salt-cured Italian anchovies, Bagnet Verd which was comically 2 tiny pieces of bread smaller than a quarter & rock hard for $17.95. Sadly, I would not recommend Pelino's Pasta its too expensive & your clothes smell of seafood after dining there.

Tables were nicely spaced and inside was clean. The bar was nice and I can see this being a really good hangout spot amongst friends. Food: Marlow's way cheesesteak wasn't great. Cheesey and well seasoned meat packed into a roll. I wish the roll wasn't just a basic soft roll. Something with a little crunch or chew would have gone a long way. The spicy mustard and hot peppers made the sandwich hot enough to make your mouth burn and block out all other flavors. I'm sure without spice this sandiech would have been good, but the spice just masked all other flavors. I would recommend if you like spicy, but if you enjoy tasting your food I'd skip or ask for this without the spicy peppers. Build your own: I created a classic beef, American, onion cheesesteak. This cheesesteak was packed with meat, but severely lacking in cheese. They didn't add enough American and just the bottom of the sandwich was coated. So every second bite was great, but you had to go through a meat fest before each bite of your actual CHEESE steak. The meat was again well seasoned and for that I'll say it isn't a big deal, but some actual cheese in the sandwich would be nice. I'd say if you're gonna build your own you have to add cheese Wizz or it'll just be dry on top.

I enjoyed Marlow's as much as I enjoyed Wario's except Marlo's was not as wet and was easier to eat. The inner wrapping paper was getting in my way at Wario's. I would order again from both places, probably deferring to Marlow's because it was a little less salty.
