For six months I have experienced numbness and tingling in my foot and the lower part of my left leg from these procedures. I remember exactly when it happened with my foot. The doctor was putting a hot wire close to my heel and I was an agony. She did it three more times. I suspect she damaged the nerve but told me it would go away. It hasn't. I don't know if it ever will. I regret it. Now I have to find somewhere else to actually finish the spider vein work. I am not comfortable going back to this business. I spent a lot of money and I'm not happy. They billed my insurance but neglected to tell me I had $2700 out-of-pocket co-pay after numerous procedures, plus $400 per session for spider veins and was told not to come back for three months. I wore compression stockings for months throughout the summer. It's not worth it. I'm not happy. I'm not sure what to do. I drove well over 1000 miles back-and-forth to the office two and three times a week.

I complete the tests on a Friday, I ask the front desk, "If I come in on Monday, will he at least have the results of the one test that was completed in office." She states yes. I go into the office to go over the results of that one test the following Monday, in which I waited 90 minutes past my appointment time to see him for 2 minutes to tell me nothing is wrong. What made this situation even more worse is that while I was waiting to see him I hear him in the hall say, "Well I never looked over her test." I am upset that I waited that long, that he never looked over the results, that he spent little to no time with me and that she stated that he would look over it prior to my appt. I asked for a copy of the report while I was in office and Dr Malholtra said no, that I needed to wait. No reasoning as to why I could not get a copy of the report. To make matters worse, I call 2 weeks later as I have not heard anything for the second test, they tell me I need to come in to get the results and pay another copay. I say "well if nothing is wrong, I do not want to waste my time and another copay, I am assuming that if something was, he would and should have called me sooner." The office manager was baffled that Dr G had never seen me before this time. When meeting with Dr G, he never gave any indication that he had even looked over my patient record. He said that once a patient there, always a patient. My treatments were always performed by the PA, who never explained anything! After discussing with my wife, who is a nurse, the need for further treatments, we decided to get another medical opinion first. My new doctor did a thorough ultrasound procedure on both my legs. He was amazed that I had laser treatments done as he said he found much scarring but the veins had never closed. I had to have repeat laser procedures, on BOTH legs, and have been pleased with the explanations I've been given and the results. My legs are less swollen and feel less heavy. I personally have had over 8 different treatments, ranging from the sclerotherapy injections, laser catheter treatment, and ambulatory phlebectomy. Dr. Gordon has always followed up with a call at home checking on me and I have never had any issues with my treatments or my check ups.
