I continued to have discomfort walking and lacked the energy I thought I should have. At the urging of my podiatrist, I scheduled an appointment with Modern Vascular and met (Dr.) Jodi Rowlett wow what a little spitfire and a straight shooter. She tells it like it is. After an ultrasound, she seriously recommended I go to Laser Vein Center (Her reason for wanting further analysis and diagnosis was to make sure there was nothing in the veins that would cause problems with the artery procedures.) I did and I met Dr. Kim (he was great and did a couple of procedures on my veins). Then back a few weeks later to Modern Vascular. Then it was January and I had my first appointment with the Modern Vascular Surgery Center. Pearl is a welcoming greeter/front office well-organized individual (5 Stars to Pearl) I have not met a doctor like Dr. Patel. He is such an amazing patient caring doctor. He took the time to sit, and explain everything about the angiogram procedure into depth to me. Following the procedure, he met with my husband and explained the findings and what he did. I want to commend the staff they have at the Glendale location. The nurses (Nick, Nicki, Andy ) made me feel comfortable the minute we met. They are professional and respected my personal dignity. They also explain the procedure in much detail and reconfirmed what Dr. Patel had told me. I want to thank two nurses I saw the most in my 3 appointments there. They are Nick and Nicki, two very kind, pleasant and exceptional nurses who work like a well trained tag-team. The whole staff created such a pleasant feeling tone from my first entrance to my Operating Room staff and then even with all other experiences I had the pleasure to be a part of. I spoke to Dr. S about this and he said he would send in a letter of medical necessity and proceed with the plan of care. Despite the Dr telling me directly to make the appointment, the front office lady refused. I called my insurance and they said they never received anything from the drs office. When I called this office to ask for the billing department, they hung up on me and when I called back they sent me to voicemail. I complete the tests on a Friday, I ask the front desk, "If I come in on Monday, will he at least have the results of the one test that was completed in office." She states yes. What made this situation even more worse is that while I was waiting to see him I hear him in the hall say, "Well I never looked over her test." I am upset that I waited that long, that he never looked over the results, that he spent little to no time with me and that she stated that he would look over it prior to my appt. I asked for a copy of the report while I was in office and Dr Malholtra said no, that I needed to wait. No reasoning as to why I could not get a copy of the report. To make matters worse, I call 2 weeks later as I have not heard anything for the second test, they tell me I need to come in to get the results and pay another copay. I say "well if nothing is wrong, I do not want to waste my time and another copay, I am assuming that if something was, he would and should have called me sooner." Very Disappointing Experience…read more I paid $850 for a "lifetime" spider vein treatment and did not receive the service promised. At my first visit, only one leg was treated. When I returned the next day for my second leg, I was told the laser machine was broken and they had no timeline for when it would be fixed. The only other treatment they could offer was sclerotherapy, or waiting indefinitely. I agreed to proceed with sclerotherapy even though I did not want it, as I had done it before without results. Since I had already paid so much, I felt I had no real choice and hoped to at least see some improvement rather than leave with one leg treated and the other not. During that visit, the provider was unable to answer my questions about the veins or provide knowledgeable explanations regarding overall vein health. She repeatedly had to leave the room to ask someone else, who was not available to fully answer my concerns. This raised serious doubts about her level of experience and made me uncomfortable proceeding. Three months later, I had a scheduled follow up appointment for touch ups. The day before my appointment, I was feeling significantly unwell and did not feel it was appropriate to put my body through a medical procedure, so I called to reschedule. I was told the next available appointment would not be until July, even though it was April, with no effort to accommodate or assist. Shortly after, I was informed that I was being terminated as a patient. Despite not receiving the full service I paid for, no refund was issued, and I had to file a dispute with my bank. The advertising suggests access to experienced medical professionals and multiple locations. In reality, I was not treated by a doctor, and it appeared that they rely on a single laser machine to serve the entire state, which in my case was not even operational. Overall, this experience felt misleading and unprofessional, and I would not recommend this provider. I regret choosing this clinic, as the experience gave the impression that patient care was not a priority and that service was handled primarily on their own terms after payment was collected.

I arrived on time and only waited 2 minutes to be called back for my tests. Christina did my first tests, and Savanah performed my Carotid artery Ultrasound. Both Christina and Savanah were Professional and efficient. I am a retired Registered Nurse, so I can judge medical competency fairly well. Both techs seemed experienced and capable. I have only been a patient of Dr. Karnick for a short time. But so far, I have been very impressed with the entire group.

I walked up towards the entry doors and depressed the handicap door opener that was about 6 feet from the actual doors and the doors did not open. It was at that moment that as I was looking for the doors to open that I saw the office hours on the doors that read, Office Hours 7:30-5:30. I assumed I had written down the appoint time incorrectly and we drove down to street and got a beverage and returned. I decided to physically check the doors when we returned because the person that seemed to be waiting was no longer in the vehicle. It was 7:17am when I checked in with the associates at the front desk. The girl said she was sorry and told me that any arrivals after 15 minutes of their appointment time would need to be rescheduled. I smiled and thought she was joking initially but she assured me that the appointment would need to be rescheduled. I shared the events of our earlier arrival and also shared the difficulty it was for my mother to travel and asked her to reconsider. I did reiterate that even the hours of operation stated on the door are incorrect which resulted in my decision not to physically check the door initially. The overall lack of understanding and the inability for the associates at the check-in desk to be able to make an exception under the circumstances was quite alarming to say the least in addition to the level of her adamancy with a zero registering on the compassion scale.
