This credit union is HORRIBLE! I receive my military key direct deposit monthly. I do a balance transfer into a different account monthly in the state that I am in. After getting paid on 3/31/26 I balance transfer on 4/3/2026. They charge me a $25.00 NSF fee! What a rearward Time Machine? After two hours fighting with them, and they can't explain WHY, I'm still fighting with them to come out of the negative! I had 6.41 left in the account after my balance transfer. The only check I ever write is ONE a month, for my balance transfer, and the money is always there a few ways to a week before I do the balance transfer. Talk about "Magical fees"! I'm closing this account after u have my military pay sidecr deposited to USAA, where they don't try to rip you off for fees I don't owe. read more

I was told I would receive an email about a loan I applied for same-day and that still has not showed up a week later. They do not answer their phones and do not return calls. I applied for a car loan so I do not have a way to go back in person right now. If you have phones and a voicemail option, please utilize them for your customers' convenience. read more

My mother got hacked and had to close her ATM card was told that she could replace it at this location. When she arrived she was told that the machine needed cleaned and was in convenient to clean then even though she driven 45 minutes after being told to come over. The service has decompensated significantly. The staff did not care that this is her only access to money to help deal with her flood damage. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS SORRY JOKE OF A PLACE!! After moving into their new building the wait times are a joke! Only 2 of the 5 employees work there at any given time so you wait over 15 minutes for any kind of help. When you decide to skip the line and just go through the two ATM's there you are greeted with a sign that says the ATM's can't dispense cash so alas you have to go to the waiting line. The customer service is deplorable at best, and they could only care about the money you have in their Institution and not you the actual customer. After placing an order for new checks with a teller and having her update the mailing address (again waiting over 30 minutes) I waited for the shipment. After 30 days ( no big worry as I still had a few checks left) I had to call the company sending the checks only to find out that the teller, whom I waited on and talked to for over 30 minutes, did not update anything. After stating that since it was the Credit Unions error, which they acknowledged, I requested new checks to be sent at no cost to me and to have them overnighted also at no cost to me( since they acknowledged their error) I was told that in no way would they pay for the expedited shipping. I asked to speak to a supervisor and you guessed it no one was available. After expressing how unacceptable this was and that I was on my way to the branch to close the accounts miraculously a supervisor became available to approve the shipping, but not to speak with me at all. Great I thought I will have them in two days but would that happen, NO! After calling and waiting again on hold( 35 minutes this time) I was told that the Post Office refused the package. Why would that be? No one seems to have a logical explanation as to why that would be, especially since the Post Office has never refused a package let alone one you have to sign for. After not receiving any answers or solutions I closed the accounts, only to be told that I could not receive my money in cash like I wanted. WHAT A JOKE!! This place, the manager and the teller could have cared less. Actually I take that back, after trying to receive an answer or possible answer and solution from the teller, the manager told her she didn't care, and to close the accounts. This is by far not the first or even third negative experience I have had with AZCCU but alas the one that broke the camels back! TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!! read more

We recently opened two accounts with this credit union. It has been a challenge every step of the way. We have had many bank accounts and never had this many issues, with opening, depositing, etc. my most recent frustration is how difficult it is to make mobile check deposits. We live a ways out, and use mobile deposit frequently. There's always something "wrong" with the deposit, and I have to make the deposits multiple times before they will go through. The first time I deposited checks remotely, it said, I forgot to checkmark the mobile deposit box; so the second time I made sure to check mark the box, and it was denied again. This time it said I had to write "for mobile deposit only." Never ever had this much trouble at any other bank. Also, I've run into other glitches with the online banking, transferring, account set up. Although it is very frustrating and takes a lot of time to switch bank accounts, we will change both accounts to a different bank in Show Low if this continues. On a positive note, the clerks in bank are very friendly and helpful! No issues there, but unfortunately we do most of our banking online. read more

No money in ATM today (Monday). Worst financial institution ever! Usually only 1 teller. They built new building but only 2 teller stations.

I have been with this institution since I was 12 years old. I am seriously considering closing my account after 30 years. We are punished with fees for not spending enough or keep enough in our account (the customer service person advised I make multiple charges for packs of gum to avoid paying the maintenance fee. What?!). They started holding my husband's paycheck for reasons that are still unclear two months in a row (which caused all kinds of havoc in our household) and now they refused to accept a check made out to my young son. They never had a problem with birthday checks before. What is the point of doing business with a small bank (with limited hours and locations) if you don't get small business service? read more

Very complicated fee structure. Had to maintain high minimum balances to avoid penalties. I walked out not opening an account.

Read the poor experience review, and in today's world, with today's turnover, I'm not sure it's fair to rate the organization overall due to an isolated employee that may no longer be there. The organizational structure is great, they process transactions and loans quickly without fanfare. We've been members for something like 10yrs, and I can think of a bad experience. I wish they had a direct line to call in instead of going thru a corporate 800 number, but that's a relatively minor thing compared to being just another number an income source for the massive international banks like chase, bank one, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, etc. To them, you are only worth what they can make off of you...a fee here, a fee there. Horrible customer service. Give me a great credit union like this any day! read more

My husband and I have been members of the Show Low branch for 10 years. We have never had a bad experience, and in addition to regular transactions, we've needed notary service, opened a business account, had to work with management about unusual charges from a business once, and complained once about another and needed help to stop auto payments on an account that was the result of scamming. We've even needed help in cashing money orders from Canada, so some unusual, non regular aspects of business that we needed help with. ALWAYS had great customer service. We are now getting ready to go in and set up a trust checking and POA checking account in order to move accounts from one of the 'big banks' where we don't get such great service! We highly recommend the credit union to our friends all the time! read more

My husband and I started using a credit union rather than a bank when we lived and worked in CA. So when we retired to Show Low in 2006, we chose AZ Central CU for our banking. We've had car loans with them as well as our checking and savings accounts. It's well-located and the customer service is great. I like that the tellers learn your name and are friendly and helpful. We will continue to keep our accounts with the credit union for the fast personalized service. read more
