I came here for donuts because the place is called Arizona DONUTS. With that in mind, their donuts are delicious. I'm from NYC so we have our fair share of donut shops to choose from - the base of these donuts were so good. Both soft and flavorful. They were a good size and depending on the glaze you get, it really elevates the donut. My favorite was their coconut donut (different from the donut with vanilla glaze and coconut flakes) They do have a number of other foods on their menu which I can't speak to, but again, I came here for donuts and I think it's a little wild to rate a donut shop on their burritos... I will say, their physical space isn't the prettiest and looks really run down and janky but the staff were very nice and I love that they're open 24 hrs. I gave 3 stars based only on the donuts being soft and very good in my opinion. However the employees are very rude. They complain if you're too slow when ordering especially a dozen of different donuts, which makes the experience very unpleasant. The cleanliness of the location is very mediocre in my experience. It's definitely not a place where I choose to sit at there tables and eat in. I have also seen other comments concerning an additional card fee and I have never been giving a receipt from this place to know exactly, I know they don't have any signs up when we have went showing there was additional card fees. We stopped in for a quick "feel-good" order of cheesy fries and a donut or two when I noticed they also now serve flavored and milk tea, slushies, smoothies and blended drinks, and various coffees. Several of my friends advised that I should check out Arizona Donuts while visiting Yuma. When traveling, I'm always in search of a good donut. Saturday morning at 3:33 a.m. and I was at Arizona Donuts on South Avenue B. In search of donuts, Yolanda was my server. One dozen donuts (at $9.95) and a large coffee (at $1.99) - plus an unnoticed "bankcard" fee of .45 - along with tax (at $1.30), I was out the door at $13.69. Coffee was a disappointment. Not only was it ice cold, but the only milk and/or creamer available was of the powdered variety. When I complained about the cold coffee, Yolanda poured a new cup from a different pot. I drank the new cup "black" as I don't particularly care for powdered creamer. The donuts? They seemed stale. Not sure why as at 3:30 in the morning they should be fresh. I ate two while at the donut shop, shared another two with a homeless guy sitting in the back, and gave the rest away at the Yuma Turkey Trot a few hours later. My biggest complaint? I used my Venmo debit card to complete the purchase and was charged a .45 bankcard fee without notice. Yolanda never mentioned the added fee and from what I remember of the service area, I didnt see a written notice of such a charge. Had I been noticed, I would have paid cash for my order. I just picked up food from az. donuts. the burrito was barely warm. burritos were dry and flavorless. had to take one back because it was dry & cold. It's my opinion that Arizona Donuts is by far the worst of all donut and burrito establishments in Yuma. The owners have been in trouble before over the food. I arrived with a friend and we picked out a dozen donuts. While we were choosing the cashier made some comment about us taking a while to the next customer. I didn't think much of it since it had only been a couple minutes. After my friend paid, I stepped up to the counter since I was going to get something else. The cashier says "um I have to help the next person in line". Stunned I said "I am the next person in line". She rolls her eyes and says "ugh nevermind" and asks what I want. I say forget it since I wasn't about to give this place any of my money and she says something to the effect of "I already helped you I have to help the next person in line." Somehow this cashier has it in her head that if I'm involved in picking donuts for a previous transaction I now have to line up again before I can make my own transaction. Terrible service. Place smelled like cheap floor cleaner too. I will never be returning to this place. I've never experienced anything close to this at any of the donut places here in Phoenix. It's a dumping looking building from the outside and the inside is kinda beat up but they have good but slightly over priced breakfast burritos. They also have fun cakes and donuts. The drink situation here always confuses me. The have fountain drinks or instant coffee but no bottled water. The burritos are 5.99 and huge, hot, and delicious. It's hard to mess up a breakfast burrito with a solid tortilla. This place is open 24 hours so a late night torta or burrito could be in your future. The do have a credit surcharge. Took my father to Arizona Donuts this morning... 1. Bear claw donut was old, Yes OLD day or more glaze was flaking off and the donut was hard as it was at least half stale 2. Coffee was from a machine "instant" horrible coffee 3. staff not too friendly. kinda machine like maybe 7am is too early? Overall a very bad experience, my father could not get though half the donut and we both tossed the coffee out and did not get a refill I was a baker for many years, Winchell, Vons "BTC Union Baker" and I can tell an OLD donut when I see it, feel it, taste it. I can not comment on the other food, and MAYBE this was just their 1 bad day, but we will not be going back to find out. read more

1/2011 Where can I start - this is not your normal donut shop. Arizona Donut has a wide selection of great donuts that are about 50% bigger than most donuts that you have ever seen. And they are really-really good. We brought them to the customer a few times and they disappeared each day. But they also have great breakfast burritos. Now let me tell you, I am a big fan of charisso and egg burritos but they are usually greasy. The first time I had one of theirs I was amazed - hardly any grease at all... OMG- we alWAYS stop in at this donut shop on the way to Mexico...they are so friendly and I love the Lemon filled donuts AND the strawberry filled as well as I always get 6 of the donut holes...my road trippers always get a dozen or so so we eat donuts all the way to and from Mexico...they love the cin rolls and the bear claws and some other huge sugary beast but I really like the round regular donut types...the ones with cocunut are good too but someone in the car always eats them before I get my hands on one! Disgusting! Went here last night after work. First time since high school that Ive been here. They have a really small menu (put up). But aparently they have other stuff? Not listed. Dark and dirty. Had some form of remodeling going on one side. The salad bar or salsa bar what ever it was on the side was super dirty and open. No sign for the bathroom unless you go down a dark alley and find it. Went in to take my son and the light was so dim and kept flickering that I thought I was in a horror movie. There were only two groups there. One that was already eating and us. The food took way to long to come out and was way over priced for the taste. I asked the girl how much the fries were and how big, she said mediumISH and $1.59. They were mcdonalds small! Torta had way too much mystery sauce. She didnt even ask if we wanted salsa, ketchup or napkins. Shitty customer service. Despite the fact they're mainly in the donut business, their burritos are the best in town and this is a Yuma hidden gem. For the same price burrito as anywhere else they load their burritos until they weigh close to a brick. Their salsas are average but the burrito is the star--you'll probably want to double up on the salsa. You may have to wait a little longer than a normal fast food chain, but it is worth it.
