I've had an account with Arizona Pest for 20 years. I've given them 5 star reviews in the past. But we sold our home and our rental property a few months ago. I called and told them to cancel the account. One of their inspectors emailed later to set up appointment; I responded via email that we no longer owned the property and to cancel our accounts. Someone else called to set up appointment and I again told them we had cancelled account. Yet my credit card was billed. When I called, they explained that communicating with an inspector wasn't sufficient and that they had no record of the various phone calls. An "an exception" they agreed to refund my $91. But really--responding to an email from jedwards@azpest.com wasn't sufficient?? Calling them wasn't sufficient?? No way to run a business. read more

AZ pest control serviced two of my properties and I was completely happy with the sales process, scheduling, and treatment. They were prompt, polite, and thorough. So why have I downgraded my review from 5 stars (which they nag you for, btw) to 2 stars? Because as soon as the 1-year anniversary came around where I had the opportunity to extend the first warranty, they began badgering me with fake invoices 100% disguised to look like I was obligated to renew (I'm not), nagging phone calls, emails, and automated phone calls, EVEN after I called and politely (the first time) explained I did not plan to purchase an extension. Nothing says "We are a shady company" like mock invoices, and this company's inability to accept my simple "thanks, no thanks" turned them into worse pests than the ones I hired them to get rid of. Used AZ Pest for several years and was assigned Gary as the tech. He was great! Gave us a heads up he was here, applied the treatment as required, listened to our concerns... got Jason when they reassigned techs. NOT good. Did as he pleased, asked no questions, didn't do an application in the garage, left puddles of spray in from of the garage door, didn't tell us he was here (so we had overspray in the house), the 'deflected' (I told you I was coming). Called the day upon receiving email of next scheduled service to receive a different date and was told I would be called back. Never happened. Seems they always prefer not to service the inside of the home or garage, and make me feel guilty for asking. Even tried to offer them another home four doors down that my son just moved into but they couldn't arrange to do both on any same date as they needed to do an assessment and proposal. I started using azpest in October. We had just moved and needed someone fast. I signed a year-long contract. I figured they would be the best. Not only are they extremely expensive, but they don't seem to stand by what they say in the contract. I had a treatment done in March and needed an extra treatment, ( which is in the contract to be no charge), before the regularly scheduled treatment. Because I called April 29th, they set it up as my regularly scheduled appointment. When I called to make sure I wouldn't get charged the first girl wanted argue with me. I said that maybe she wasn't understanding me as to what I meant and she came back at me with 'no YOUR not understanding '. After talking to another office girl and getting no where I asked for the owner to call me. He was very helpful and explained things much better. We worked together to fix things, but pew what an ordeal! read more

I'm very satisfied with this company. I've had several companies come out to my house and spray for scorpions. This is the only company that has kept them out of my house. I only have two concerns A) I seem to not have control over when my scheduled date/time is. I have yet to make an appointment, I've just thankfully been home each time. B) they have a warranty that states they'll come out if the bugs havent died when sprayed. However, it seems like it's an inconvenience for them. And have had me wait for two weeks, even though the bugs should be dead if they've been sprayed. I have nothing but kind words to say about my technician. Hes super friendly, and always listens to my family and my concerns. Overall, I'll highly recommend this company and enjoy having them service our house. read more

We had used this company in the past for hornets in the house, they came almost immediately, searched the roof for entry points and resolved our problem. So when we had pack rats in the roof/ducting we figured this was the company to call. We had a scheduled time and date, and they said they would call if they were early. I was monitoring my phone at work, and no calls, so I made sure to get to the house a little before the arrival time. What I didn't know is they were calling my husbands number instead of mine (the one I gave them to use that day). When the inspector was here, he walked the perimeter of the house to look for entry points, and he found none. We asked him to look for entry points on the roof, and he told us that his company wants him to stay on the ground, so never went on the roof. he did notice that there were some entry points via tree branches to the roof, but still never went up there to verify. We did not hire them for work because they could not verify pack rat entry points, so never created a quote. We hired a different pest removal company, who went on the roof, found the entry point (up a mesquite and in through the spanish roofing tile). This review was delayed because we wanted to see what other companies would do to inspect/quote the job, and now that the other company has proven themselves to us, we will continue to use the new company. read more

UPDATE: Manager Josh calls and says my fault for not liking being "thrown on the schedule and having a bad day." DON'T USE THESE GUYS IF YOU WANT TO HAVE ANY SORT OF SAY SO IN SCHEDULING YOUR HOMES SERVICE. It'll be your fault/problem when they can't or wont- even after assurances to the opposite. Hundreds of dollars but I get no say in days and times for appointments? Unprofessional... The company had trouble making and keeping appointments and messed up the billing. Would not recommend, first appointment seemed fine. I have four pets that must be removed along with the three adults, for 4 hours.Everything needs to be packed, put in bags and so on.. Second visit- I get a call asking if I can let them come Two Hours Early. I have to move all the furniture away from the walls- My pets and adult sons must leave the house for Four hours during this pandemic when nothing is open. After assurances following the second visit that my time would be respected- I get an email saying they will show up on Monday.... Ummm I did not schedule for Monday- This company left me feeling frazzled and still having the issue I called them out for. The do not seem to respect their client or their time as evidenced by their lack of communication surrounding the appointments and inability to show up when they say they will. DO NOT RECOMMEND. I Still Have to call a different company. read more

Just had Arizona pest control come in my house and the gentleman did not introduce himself . I asked him what he was spraying and he said it was alpine SG , so I asked what is that he said he didn't remember.. I pointed out these tiny bugs on the counter and asked if he knew what they were he took a picture and said he would find out and tell Sandy the property manager , really Sandy didn't ask you I did ;( He also did not ask about the real problem which is drain flys he didn't ask if they were better or worse nothing . He just wanted to come in and spray . I think this is the third company to come out for these drain flys and they have all failed to get rid of them . This was the worst one . read more

DO NOT USE this service. Extremely disappointed by Arizona Pest Control. I used their services for the last 3 years under the impression I was only getting charged for my house and surrounding area but in fact was getting charged for two properties one that had been cancelled and told to avoid completely in 2019, which the technician at the time confirmed that it would be cancelled and that they would not go to that property again. The company then attempted to spray the unauthorized property and the technician got into a fight with the tenant. They then called me blamed everything on me when I have absolutely nothing to do with that property or the tenant they went to by mistake, they then so rudely told me I was done with them and their service and treated me so terribly on the phone I felt like crying after. They did not care or even acknowledge that it was listed in there notes that they should not go to the other property since 2019 and when I asked to be refunded for the over charges, they said there is absolutely no way that would happen. I have never been treated so terribly in my life and have been left feeling so upset by the entire situation. They also still charged me for the day that they came out, did not perform the service got into a fight with another property and cancelled on me!!!! read more

We were having some work done on our roof and feared we might have a termite problem, so we called them to come out. The termite inspection came back negative (much to our relief), but it was high bug season so we asked them to go ahead and give us an estimate for interior and exterior pest control. We hired them to do the work and they came and did one very thorough spray to begin with and our tech, Anthony, even put some super duper ant killer down an anthole that we had not had any luck with Home Depot remedies in controlling the ant population. Cue the Pink Panther them, "Dead Ant, Dead Ant..." Now he shows up every other month and his first question is always, "Any problem areas you want me to to focus on?" When he sprays the back yard he is always sure to move the bowls for dog food and water and let us know to keep the dogs inside until the spray has dried. He's always on time and quick to do his work, especially since we usually have him come first thing in the morning and he knows I have to go to work. I appreciate him being respectful of our property, pets and time. Now we hardly ever see any creepy-crawlies and, if we do, they are usually belly up. The price doesn't "bug" me as much as it seems to others. read more

Awful experience. Charged $250 for a canceled appointment with plenty of heads-up. Refused to refund because, apparently, that's what I signed up for. I wonder why I wasn't informed of this policy prior to signing - simply handed an Ipad and told to sign and that there would be no charge to my card until the termite treatment was completed. Bad policies, bad people. Go somewhere else. Update: You'll respond to my yelp review on a Sunday, but you won't return a phone message I left for you on a Sunday? Uh oh... diggin' yourself deeper... AZ Pest control comment below indicates a refund issued. False. When I initially spoke with the manager requesting a refund, he literally laughed at me. Maybe now I will see that refund? AZ Pest control comment below indicates same day cancellation. Again, false. I called on a Sunday at 9am and left a message with the weekend phone answering service - my appointment was for Monday at 8am. I explicitly requested my appointment to be canceled, and, in fact, asked the phone operator if I could rely on her to make sure the company will know not to come to my house the next morning and if this would be an issue in any way. She gave me her false promises. How is it the customer's problem if their answering service cannot convey a message over the weekend? Or, maybe it's more of an issue that AZ Pest Control has nobody on staff to pickup messages over the weekend. Sounds like their is no true commitment to the customer or maintaining a legitimate business, at all. Most importantly, pay attention to how there was no recognition or regard to an absolutely ridiculous $250.00 penalty for a canceled appointment within the below response from AZ Pest Control. They were scheduled for a free estimate. He was on time, very thorough, and so courteous and kind. He honestly advised that I don't have termites but do have carpet beetles. Since I'm replacing the carpet with tile, he suggested no expensive treatments! I recommend everyone who wants a pest removal estimate call them! Honest and very trustworthy! I intentionally avoided calling the larger and/or chain pest control companies because they typically advise expensive treatments. That always makes me sceptical. Contacted AZ Pest Control to quote me for termite remediation. Inspector/salesman was prompt and courteous. This company was our initial choice for service, so I attempted to complete the edocument and start the process. Red flag #1: Unable to complete edocument without furnishing a credit card number. I've been a victim of credit fraud a few times now, so I don't give this information if I can avoid it. Red flag #2: Called the salesman and he said a check would be fine, but they must have payment BEFORE providing service. That would require him to come out and pick up my check before scheduling my service. Red flag #3: About an hour after finalizing the edocument, I get a call from the office to schedule the service, but was told that they NEEDED a credit card number on file before they would do anything. TL;DR: in the course of an afternoon I went from feeling like a potential customer to feeling like my credit card was more important to this company than any future business I might hire or recommend to them. read more

I received good service until I was assigned a new technician who has been very curt and defensive in his dealings with me. Questions arose concerning my bimonthly service today and the technician reacted as if I were insulting him personally. He advised me that if I didn't like his service to get another company. When I called to advise the manager he told me the same thing. Sorry to see a company that had been so willing to accommodate has lost previous excellent technician and other good office workers. I never like to leave bad reviews, but be very cautious on trusting this service. I got an estimate at the end of June of last year and started my services in July. For two months the bate traps with poison were in the backyard with my dog and in the garage, I unfortunately had to leave for several months due to military service and when I come back home come to find out it is in their policy not to have that in the backyard with a pet. It seems strange to me that not everyone follows the company policy and I still have high activity for having this service for 8 months. Find somewhere else! read more

I paid almost $800 to get rid of my bed bugs. I was told this treatment had no warranty (of course it doesn't). The bugs were never eradicated. I took apart all my furniture & followed all of their instructions. I am still being ate alive by bugs & now am going to throw away all my old furniture & buy new stuff.
