In every encounter with them, from the first inspection, to contact with the office to the actual technician who treated the problem, they were prompt, personable and professional. And, when after a couple of weeks, there appeared another termite "tube" and I called, Jeff Edwards, our initial inspector, was there that day, even though the treatment was not meant to be fully working for 4-6 weeks and they could have reasonably asked me to wait until the process was complete. I can't say enough good things about Arizona Pest Control. First, their customer service is excellent. Every person you come in contact with is professional, honest and helpful. I usually work with Dino, so he's always on point! Then, when they come out to your house, they are always so knowledgeable. They come out every other month for like the regular pest control services for bugs and things like that and anytime they will have to come early they always call ahead of time and ask if its ok. I even needed advice on another pest control issue and they came out, free of charge and gave me advice on how to fix it. Overall an OK experience. Everyone I've interacted with has been great-- polite, nice, helpful. They come out to do the service on time and usually call to let me know when they are coming out. The only reason for 3 stars is the technician who comes out doesn't do a great job. He is nice and friendly but isn't very thorough and leaves within just a few minutes of arriving. I called Arizona pest control because of the favorable reviews on yelp I found some black dots around my foundation and when John came out he told me that those were cricket poop which in my mind of course didn't need treating after he did a thorough inspection of my foundation he did find three termite tunnels going up into my walls. John was very knowledgeable about the whole eradication process and what I needed to worry about and what I didn't need to worry about he was on time and very professional I set an appointment for about a week Later. Once again Arizona pest controls employees were right on time.I was very happy to find out Trent was also a fireman I do believe in supporting our local firemen and that this was a second job for him he did a fabulous job! he was upbeat knowledgeable and very professional just like John. Used AZ Pest for over a year with no problems. The technician did a great job on the property. Even the person who monitors Yelp was very helpful in getting me access to the owner when this issue came up. The problem was the office manager and the owner. Background: There was one day that the technician was not able to make it at the scheduled time (no problem), so he came the following day. I noticed my bill for that visit was lower, so I thought it was their way of owning the missed appointment. I paid my bill on time for that visit, but then I get another bill a month later (like a late bill). Thinking I had missed a payment, I payed the second bill for the same visit (but 1st and 2nd payment added up to a normal cost for one visit). When I went through my records trying to figure out why I had missed the payment I noticed that I hadn't made a mistake, but AZ Pest made a mistake in their invoice and wanted me to pay for the difference. When I called to ask what went wrong, the office manager displayed rudeness and arrogance and told me that I just didn't know how to read their invoice. When I asked to speak to his supervisor, he told me NO! At that time I lost trust in the company that employs a person that's lacking in customer service. Since I couldn't get any help from the office I started a BBB complaint and about the same time, I noticed that there was a person who replied to the Yelp reviews. I contacted him and he within 24hrs had me in contact with the owner. The conversation started well and the owner showed concern, but then he said something that led me to leave the company. He was sorry that I didn't understand their billing system. So he wasn't sorry for the rude manager or the mistake they made in billing, but for my lack of understanding. At that point I knew the company, from the top down, would not take responsibility for their action. The sad part was that I was only looking for someone to explain why the invoice was different (lower) that time. A simple answer such as, "I'm sorry, it looks like we made a mistake, but we'll need full payment for the visit", would have sufficed. I was happy with their service, so I wasn't asking for money back even though they made the mistake. Once I was treated as a hostile customer, I lost all trust in this company and with help from the BBB, got the money back that I had sent that was above the invoice charge. So we have used AZ Pest Control for years for our home and rental properties but after today I am done! I initially called them as a courtesy to let them know my Dad died and to close his account. I spoke to Ray who said that his contract was expiring but given the circumstances they can push the date out as an exception. I originally thought that was nice of them and agreed. Then I get another call a couple weeks later from Dino. He was not as pleasant and was really rude to me about me not setting up an appointment. He told me that my Dad's contract expired so they want to do the inspection. I tried explaining to him what Ray said but he just brushed me off. So I didn't want to deal with it that day and just said I'll schedule another time. I'm thinking what's the point now? I got another call in between now and then and then today I spoke to Ana. I finally ask Ana if they are going to honor what Ray had originally told me about pushing out the treatment past the contract. She says no and reminds me, almost scolding me that his contract expired almost a month ago. Ok great. My dad died. I've been busy. Remember when I tried to cancel? Why are you still calling me then? I can call at ANY time to set up a "free" inspection with ANY company. Anyhow there was no empathy, no emotion. Ana said point blank do you want to sign up or we will stop calling you. Yeah go ahead and stop calling please. I let Ana know that if they want to honor what they told me great but if not I'll go ahead and cancel for all the properties we use them for. Zero craps given by Ana. I am so disappointed in them. They've always been awesome but since my Dad passed it has been like dealing with robots who just want to get a deadline checked off their list. They have no human emotions. They just want to know if I'm going to give them my money to sign another contract. AND the worst part is that it's been multiple people all with the same demeanor! I was unable to eliminate the ant issue occurring in my kitchen by myself, so I called AZ Pest Control. The 3 stars is based on the price factor. $150?? What??! Come on...give me a deal as a new customer. It makes a big difference! I like deals. The deal they offer is lame (if I had purchased a package deal, I would've saved $25 today). If my review was based only on customer service, it would be a 5. Cindy, who scheduled my appointment was great. I called on a Thursday and my original appt was scheduled for Saturday morning. Cindy called me a shortly after i scheduled and said she could have someone come the next day instead. That was ideal. The sooner someone could come and assist my ant situation, the better! Gabriel was on time, which was a bonus. I like that they don't give you an estimated time (someone will come between 8-12 business). My appt was scheduled for 8:30 and he arrived at 8:25. Gabriel found the entry areas of the ants invading my home and got out all of his tricks, so I am hopeful that they will leave my condo and find another place to visit. He also told me that vinegar, not bleach should be my go to solution when ants occur. I would like to say I would use AZ Pest Control again, but I will do some price shopping first. read more

I am an East Coast transplant who is still terrified of her desert surroundings. Today, one of my cats was going nuts at the glass door, so I went to investigate. At eye-level on the wall outside was THE MOST ENORMOUS SPIDER I HAVE EVER SEEN. I didn't know what to do. It had a 3 in + legspan. I wasn't about to try to get it in a jar or bowl because I am a pansy. So with some google-fu, I found AZ Pest Control. When I called, I got their answering service. I felt pretty silly reporting a Spider Emergency, but I was connected to a very nice man who said they would send someone out as soon as they could. I sat waiting, watching Spiderbro meander around my Arizona room until Stephen showed up. Professional, friendly and helpful, Stephen caught my spider and promised it a good life as a star of the Home Show and school visits. I'm glad the spider will get to live a pampered spidey life and I don't have to have a heart attack when I go out to do my laundry. THEN, as I was signing up for regular pest treatments, Stephen explained how the company has honey bee hives with the bees they humanely remove from residences. HOW AWESOME IS THAT?! He gave me a jar of desert honey! From the bees they rescue! I'm all about pest control because I am a pansy, but I would really rather not kill everything. We have used AZ Pest since we purchased our home in 2008. After having several different representatives of the company come treat our home on a bi-monthly basis, we finally settled in with Robert. We love him! He is very flexible with the scheduling and he is a great guy - always respectful. Just recently, we noticed a huge africanized bee hive outside the walls of our backyard. We called AZ Pest and Robert came out. He suited up and took care of the hive. He was very very careful and informed us that the hive could have been a danger to us in that they were very aggressive. After treating the hive and educating us, he is returning in a few days to make sure the bees are not a threat anymore. read more

THE WORST PEST COMPANY EVER! This company is completely incompetent. Salesmen don't know what they are doing and would be more at home in used car lots (real B-S-ers). Most technicians don't know what they are doing and are not even familiar with the terms of the contracted-for service when they come (nor can the phone operators or salesmen find the latest paperwork). The company makes appointments that they don't meet; one side doesn't know what the other side is doing and don't communicate with each other, so the client has to intervene and explain everything that needs to be done EVERY time they come for service. I'm remodeling a home on the west side of Tucson, and while the walls, ceiling, and floor were open I decided to have the home fully treated for termites. There was evidence of old damage and also previous treatment on part of the house. I wanted to be sure the house would be in good condition for a long time. Dave came out and thoroughly inspected the place. He showed me a couple spots on a 2008 addition where there were active termites. Tiny little things - not like what I had expected! He provided a great report and a comprehensive plan of action. Two days later, Dan came out to do the treatment. He spent most of the morning digging trenches, drilling holes, and pumping over one hundred gallons of Termador into the ground. He also drilled holes along cracks in the floor and injected stuff down where any pipes come through the floor. My plumber had not finished jackhammering a new shower, so he came back the next morning to treat the excavated shower base. I'm really impressed with the service and skill of the team. I've had two other homes treated by a competing company in Tucson, but now I'm a convert to Arizona Pest Control. I have no hesitation recommending them. read more

A friend of mine advised me that this place uses the high quality, brand-name chemicals. I was nervous they would charge more, but they actually came in cheaper than Northwest, who uses the low end product. They did a beautiful job, carefully going through the house, treating all the places where the termites were and then drilling into the foundation all the way around the house applying the treatment, and sealing everything up so that I couldn't even tell. The best part of all, is that he wore booties into the house, kept everything superclean, which is really important because we have a little baby who goes everywhere all over the floor.
