I need to have a piece of hardware removed from my right foot, it was extremely painful, wasn't getting a lot of help or answers until Dr. Urooj. He removed the hardware, I am on the mend now. The staff at Arizona Foot and Ankle are TOP NOTCH!! Amber, Cindy, Christina, everyone there is so caring and so very helpful. So it's a percentage or whatever they have made it to be. That their healthcare appt system, Phreesia tells you to pay. Then, when you are done with the Dr. you have to pay again, because they want the money in advance before they even bill the insurance. I have dealt with this for two years in a row. I personally go to different Dr's so much, I meet my deductible going to other appointments very fast. Because of that, I end up overpaying for my visits at this place. I want to be clear, this place is the ONLY Dr's. Office that I have this issue with. The Dr here, asked me to try seeing a dermatologist first, before my last resort surgery. June 16th was my last visit at the foot Dr. before I started getting a laser treatment with the dermatologist. Now, because my wart is not gone still, I tried to work on the bill I just got before I came in for my appt tomorrow. I got a bill, randomly 2 days ago in the mail, from the foot dr, that I owe them money. My last conversation with them was that the money I paid in June, caught me up from all my past visits, excluding my last June visit. When I said I would pay the past bills, I then got a charge added on to my account the "pre" payment amount for that specific June visit. The office manager has told me several times that they would stop pre charging me, and wait for the insurance payment to comeback. She said they would note my account. This was after they had to refund me money for a past overpayment I made because of this policy. Btw! I had to ask and wait for that refund for almost a year. I asked for a refund for this prepaid amount, and they agreed, and they did it the next day. This new statement I got, has more fees that were not included in the conversation I had about what to pay them, when I did pay them in June. If you're confused- don't worry I am too. I am not a dumb person. I am highly analytical. This makes me sad. Because I called today and tried to work it out and never have I been mean or rude. They would not call me. They text me. Telling me they have told me several times. (Rudely in text btw) that this is their policy. Well, I have been told several times by the office manager herself that she would not pre charge me. Now she acts like she forgot, but apparently I'm the problem now. She just text me and told me she left a detailed message in my portal (not true) she didn't address the error in a billing code I asked about today, in this "detailed" message, bot only that because of her terrible customer service she told me she cancelled my appt tomorrow too. It's cool Amber. I found a new foot Dr. like I said, I like Dr Urooj. The front office policy, their incompetence, their lack of integrity and commitment to service, and lack of transparency in their billing, makes it miserable to deal with. Save yourself time and energy and headaches, go somewhere else that does not pre-bill and won't cancel your appointments because they don't want to deal with their own problems.

I had an appointment set up for 10am on 11/23/18, on thanksgiving I get a call verifying my appointment for Monday the 26th. That's not what I was told over the phone. I broke my ankle and STILL have yet to have it casted. This place was suppose to be an easy I. Cause my doctors are booked until February. However; I tried calling the morning of my appointment on the 23rd and was on hold for an hour with no answer. I called shortly after 8am, the opening time. No answer. Extremely poor reception. While I was on hold I read these reviews and decided to not go into this facility.

In March I had to be transported to the ER. My body lost almost all the fluids that is needed to keep one alive. I was seizing. They had the and lights going speeding to the Hospital. I was scared, especially when they took me into a room as soon as I got there. That was my 2nd Emergency, at least major one. I April I had another emergency yet my daughter insisted we ho to Banner E. Their nursing staff spoke ill of me right outside my room. I was like WOW I can you! I complained and I coukd the conversation between the charge nurse and the nurse. He said I asked to many questions and was bothering him. Yes, I had a lot of questions and I had to use the restroom a lot. I have epilepsy. No apologies nothing. I was then transfered to another floor. Originally I was on the 4th floor and they sent me to the 2nd floor. They do not do such as I stayed there 2x prior. The solution was to remove the patient so the nurse could go back to playing around with the CNA and other nurses or on the phone with his wife! Abrazo West is my choice...they are so professional. On May 20th 2026 I had to make an ER visit at Abrazo West Campus. What I encountered was not only…read moreunacceptable from a customer service standpoint, but also raised serious concerns regarding patient safety, sanitation, and basic standards of care. Upon arriving at the ER, I immediately noticed the waiting area was extremely unsanitary. Garbage was scattered throughout the area, trash cans were overflowing, and the overall condition of the lobby created an environment that appeared neglected and unsafe for patients already seeking emergency medical care. The most concerning issue occurred in the men's restroom, directly in the ER waiting area. There was human waste and diarrhea visible from the toilet onto the floor, creating what I believe to be a serious biohazard. I notified staff immediately, expecting the matter to be addressed without delay. Instead of contacting environmental services or taking immediate action to sanitize the restroom, I was simply redirected to another restroom inside the ER, which was also unclean and poorly maintained. After waiting nearly an hour and a half in these conditions, and despite medical staff advising otherwise, I made the difficult decision to leave the facility because I no longer felt safe remaining there. I ultimately sought treatment at another emergency room, where I was properly evaluated and treated.
