AZR was recommended to us by good friends who had used them for a complete back yard and pool design and install. This was after we had contacted two other companies, neither of which returned our phone call. Doug made an appointment and came to our home within 48 hours of our initial call. From the start he was friendly and professional. I told him of our two failed attempts to contact other contractors and suggested that perhaps the scope and size of our project was just to small for others to be interested. He assured me that there was no such thing as a to small project for them. (Ours eventually came in at around $14,000) My wife, who pretty much always has an end product in mind, explained in great detail what she had for a vision as this was to be pretty much a complete "tear down" and rebuild of the landscape in this smaller walled back yard. Doug was able to suggest changes to her plan that made immediate sense to both of us and helped morph our ideas into a design plan on paper that he brought for our review within 3 days. We both fell in love with the plan as presented. Let me be quick to point out that before he even unrolled the drawing he told me exactly what the cost would be to do everything he was about to explain - no "sales job" prior to the price tag. We looked it over and I said simply - when can you start? and how much do you want as a down payment. What happen next is unheard of in my experience working with home improvement vendors here in Arizona - his response was "Nothing - when the job is complete and you are satisfied, then you pay us"..... Even after the work agreement was signed the service and attention from Doug didn't change. Let me give a small example. This project included matching and extending an existing paver walkway and the day after we signed the agreement Doug called to ask my wife if we happened to have any info on the style / color of the existing pavers. We said we did not but I said I would pop a couple of them out of the ground and bring them to the AZR office. His response was "No - you signed our contract and I will come out there and get them myself" - It's a small thing I suspect but made a big statement to me. From that moment on everything went just as designed and in less time that originally projected. No glitches or surprises. No "Sorry we didn't think about this and it's not going to be extra" moments. In fact the only unexpected thing that happen was when they delivered a portable toilet on our front lawn the day before the workmen arrived. Now someone reading this review is going to say "Oh may - I can't have that on my front law!" I guess it helps to have grown up in Montana using an out house because I was more than pleased to have the convenience for the six or eight workers that were here every day for a week. First thing to be known, Arizona Rainfall not only met expectations, but exceed them in so many ways. We found ourselves in a position with an unresponsive landscape contractor that had our deposit, but would not respond for the upcoming project. We reached out to a couple of contractors on a weekend. Left voicemails and messages through their websites, so we could be ready to go when our new home closed in two weeks. Dave at Arizona Rainfall was the first to respond, bright and early on Monday morning. We met onsite an hour later, and by the end of the day we have a detailed bid for review. Before diving in we met at their office. Turns out they are completely focused on serving homeowners in the west valley. Some of the contractors we spoke with were stretched across the valley. After personally meeting Dave, we discovered Arizona Rainfall were more than equipped to handle our project and they were able to start the Monday after closing. We experienced communication that most dream of when going through a construction project. Daily updates of what crew was coming and what was scheduled for the rest of the week. Roy, the Super on our project was fantastic. Mario, one of the crew leads spent as much time as necessary with a level to make sure our water features were perfect! I could go on to share more of the details... Oh but wait! The best part that I was curious about...I did not pay a dime, until the project was done. While others wanted as much as $25K down to hold a date that was months away. I would not hesitate to recommend Dave, Roy, Mario and the entire team at Arizona Rainfall. This company represenitive Doug , who came to my house gave me about 5 minutes of time, leaving with my pool blue print and backyard dimensions. He said he knew exactly what I wanted and he would be back in a week to share the beautiful art work with me. I laughed because he never took notes or measured anything. After 2 weeks of waiting I had to go to there office and ask to get my blue prints back. They said I had to make another appointment with Doug to get them back. Doug came back to my house and had some type of chicken scratch of a drawing, which look like it took him 2 minutes to draw up. What a joke, and then he came out and made fun of my pool. He said why did I allow the pool company to do such a terrible job. This pool is nine years old. Part of the bid was to redo the pool plaster. He gave me about 5 minutes this time and left saying he would get back with me, he also said are you ready to hire and I told him I was getting more bids. He said he would get back in touch and from that point we have never heard back. (Believe me, I was not going to hire him or the company, just wanted pool blue prints back) I just shook my head and said not with your lack of professionalism. I then went with my 5 bid which I am spending 57,000, in a complete make over of my yard. I would not recommend this company, they are losing work. We had a fabulous journey with Gary and his team creating a lifestyle at our home. Gary came to our house in November 2014. He was a straight shooter with us, which is what we respect. He told us he was selling a lifestyle and quality work. The completed job was more than what we could of dreamed of. They started the begining of December and someone was at our house every day. He redesigned the landscaping of the front yard, the backyard and installed a good size play pool with an amazing waterfall with lights. Every day they were there they would get there by 730 am and depending on what they were doing they would leave by 230pm or 4pm. Sometimes we had the landscapers and the pool diggers all there at the same time. The pool passed the inspection the first time with no issues. Gary came out to inspect the work on a regular basis. Anytime we called/emailed him for questions he always responded quickly. When everyone left each day the area they were working on was cleaned up. When they put the travertine down they even cleaned our sliding glass door each day. My daughter is going to purchase here and if they dont have a pool, they will contact Gary to build thier pool and create the atomsphere in thier yard he did in our yard. read more

My neighbor had a nice, simple yard done and she recommended Arizona Rainfall out of Surprise. Her parents in Trilogy used the same company. I emailed the company and right away, Tim Brown came out to meet with us. Just days later, he blew us away with a design for the back yard. We weren't interested in a pool, but I have no doubt it would have been amazing if we'd chosen to do it. Every bit of the design is his. All we said is we'd like a putting green and the sun coming in the house was too strong. He took it from there. Tim went directly to the HOA office to work on the plans so the approval was easily obtained. Within a week after approval, the work was underway. I deal with a lot of contractors on behalf of my clients, and I can say Arizona Rainfall is hands-down the best. Once the work started, I could see they were worth every penny. From their own port-a-potty onsite (despite several builder units in the neighborhood), French drains installed, re-treating the termite barrier, building permit obtained, to the detailed schedule of work, it was actually a pleasant experience. All of the workers were polite and interested in doing a good job. They cleaned up the site every day when they were done. read more

We have had Arizona Rainfall working to upkeep our yard. As far as I am concerned they are overpriced and most of the service is lousy. Since we are snowbirds, we wanted a company to look after the yard when we are not here. I recently had a water leak and called John G to come and check it out. He came over quickly and found the leak. He quoted me $95. to have it repaired and I said ok. Then the next day after the guys came and fixed it, I get an invoice from them for $142. and change. I immediately e-mailed the office to ask why that amount when I was quoted $95. That was over a week ago and I am still waiting to hear back. I would not recommend this company for yard care. We have lost numerous plants due to the lack of them caring. Sometimes we wonder if they even show up when we are not here. They do not email you to let you know of any problems as I have requested they do. I am so fed up. Now looking for a new company to take care of our yard. read more

What a great experience we had with Tim & AZ Rainfall. We just moved to our newly built home and needed backyard landscaping. As such, we called a few companies to come give us an estimate and design ideas. By far Tim was the best of the reps we met with. He was genuine and sincerely expressed an interest in helping us. From initial appointment to finished product, Tim was outstanding with his communication, answering questions (no matter how small), making changes and just listening. Rare these days in my opinion. Tim even moved our job up so it would be done in time for family/friends who would be visiting and coming to a party we were hosting. In addtion to Tim's fine customer service, the quality and professionalism of all the crews who worked at our home was excellent. After having bad experiences with landscapers at our previous house, my wife and I were skeptical when the time came to have the dirt backyard in our new house landscaped.I found Arizona Rainfall online and decided to go speak to them on a day we were both off. We met Tim Brown who designed our yard with all the elements we were looking for which was a fire pit, in-ground spa, pergola, artificial turf and drought tolerant landscaping. Tim came back with a design that instead of adding a pergola, extended our current patio. He even made a YouTube video that showed us the final project which nearly resembled to completed project. From start to finish construction took approximately 3 weeks and came out it better than we could have dreamed. The contractors assigned to our project were very professional. Arizona Rainfall has been performing my quarterly landscaping maintenance for over two years and I couldn't be more satisfied with the results. I also have had their maintenance rep here on several occasions to repair my main irrigation lines with were installed by another contractor. I obtained a quote to replace my existing irrigation system with pvc piping which was very reasonable. AZ Rainfall maintenance crew lead by Toney and Josh completed the work in less than three days including some additional landscaping work on my front patio and My expectations were exceeded. The salesman and design consultant, Tim Brown, was by far the most punctual and professional to visit me and give a proposal. Our project (fire pit and pavers) was completed in a quality and timely manner. AZ Rainfall did a complete remodel of my backyard, so I decided to have them design and remodel my front yard with some adjustments to my courtyard. It turned out amazing! Tim Brown did an amazing job of the design and the lighting, he also designed my backyard. My neighbors say my house lights up and looks like a show house. Happy customers!! Before we contacted AZ Rainfall, we were doing our own yard maintenance. Our lack of knowledge of certain trees & plants resulted in the almost death of an olive tree, amongst other things! We were literally trimming it to death!
