My husband had been a patient at AZ Urology for 10+ yrs. After his stroke in 2021, I began attending all of his patient-doctor appts. He could not drive so I was also taking him for his tests and required medical needs for the past 5 years. I noticed over the years, he had not seen much of the doctor, but only the PA on staff, and a different one each time! I would discuss with them my spouse's test results, medications; and asked why are we not seeing the doctor? "He is in surgery" was the response. Have not seen his assigned doctor in probably 2 years! We had had enough of the staff in this 'health center, how office was run, and the attitude of those in the office. I decided to transfer to a new medical facility, AUUA which has some of the top 10 doctors in Arizona. I called Arizona Urology staff to ask them to please transfer my husband's medical records by Thur, May 7 to AUUA. A day or two later, a woman called me on my cell. Asking to speak to my husband. This is my phone, can I help you? "No, you are not on his HIPPA form." I responded, "I have been his care taker for the past 5 years and have gone to every doctor appt he has had. We are leaving your medical system for AUUA and need his medical file sent by Wed pm." Let me speak to your husband, she requested. So I called my husband from the other room who was listening to this conversation. He can't communicate like before the stroke so did not say much. He said "send over the medical records to where she told you". Clerk said you have to fill out the forms first as wife is not on your paperwork." We had words. He has been a patient for over 10 years, I have been attending his appts at AZ Urology for 5 of them. It appears the staff and organization who manages them, is in need of training. No one had ever asked me or him from his initial over-a-decade-old-paperwork that they needed info from him!! Never! Medical records Clerk hung up the phone. On Thurs we went to a top 10 AZ doctor in Glendale office of AUUA and he had no records sent to him. Again, AUUA medical dept had requested them on the same day I did. AZ Urology DID NOT bother to comply professionally. The staff in this office are SHAMEFUL, UNPROFESSIONAL. I just today began reading about AZ Urology medical facility and was not surprised to see so many, if not ALL (1-*) reviews. Husband's doctor, whom we liked, was not involved in any unprofessional, or rude behavior. AZ residents in need of urological medical help ~~ drive past this facility. Arizona Urology is the worst medical outfit I've ever dealt with. I had kidney lithotripsy on Mar. 4 with an appointment to get the stents out on Mar. 18. I just got a call from Arizona Urology telling me that my Mar. 18 appointment had to be rescheduled to the end of April!! As any kidney stone patient knows, stents are painful and I've got them in BOTH kidneys. It is literally DANGEROUS to leave stents in for 2 months. Finally, they rescheduled me to Mar. 23 but I'm already looking for a new urologist. I've had multiple bad episodes with Arizona Urology and I've had it up to my ears. The WORST experience ever! I had an appointment with Dr Jain and made sure that I was going to see the actual doctor and not a nurse practitioner when I scheduled my appointment . I was assured I would see Dr Jain . When I waited to be checked in I knew this office was a bad idea. I waited 8 minutes standing there waiting for someone to help me check in. One person was on the phone and two others just sitting at their desk doing nothing . No one said a word to me and once the person got off the phone they checked me in. Once I was brought back to a room I could see Dr Jain in the hallway smiling and talking to staff. I went into the room and in comes a nurse practitioner . He asked why I was coming in today and I asked why Dr Jain wasn't seeing me since my appointment was with him. I was then told that Dr Jain had to leave due to not feeling well . I said, I just saw him in the hallway smiling and talking to people and he looked fine to me! I couldn't believe i was being lied to ! I was there to go over some very large concerning kidney cysts from an MRI that I had done a few months ago and the nurse practitioner couldn't answer any questions or give me any info other than to do a repeat MRI in a few months. I wasn't happy and he knew it , I told him I want to get the MRI done sooner than later and I don't want contrast and he greed and then he rushed out to the next patient. I wanted to have the MRI done before the new year and before my $5,000 deductible starts over so I scheduled my MRI before the new year. I was then told by the imaging center that the MRI order was sent to use contrast even after I told the nurse I didn't want contrast. I called the office again and they said they would correct the order for no contrast. A few days before my MRI I'm informed from the imaging center that I can't get it done because the doctor's office didn't send the new order . I called the office again to find out why it wasn't sent and was told they were working on it . I then received a call back from Amanda saying that they won't send the new order over because I'm not supposed to get it done for 6 months. I told her the nurse didn't say I had to wait and he knew that I was trying to get it done before the new year so I can find out what's going on with my kidneys. All I know is, is if I have cancer this Dr will be in serious trouble . This is MALPRACTICE and my health concerns were blatantly ignored after several attempts to seek treatment and get answers. I would AVOID this mess of a doctor at all costs unless you want to get jerked around and dismissed . I am disputing the visit with my insurance company since I didn't even see the actual doctor . They don't deserve my money! I can see why they have such poor reviews . The entire office is full of apathetic slackers who have zero compassion for people . read more

Terrible communications. I went to them because a ct scan showed slightly enlarged kidneys. At first I was explained it would be a lengthy process that would evaluate not only my kidneys but the rest of the urinary system. So they started scheduling tests and I learned early on there would be several. All thru the first tests there was no way to ask questions. Could not talk to a real peson. No calls back. No emails back. Never got to talk with a real doctor. Gave up. read more

I started this process over 6 months ago trying to find out why I am having trouble urinating and the concluded the trouble is the prostate. yet after spending thousands of dollars and enduring numerous tests they are able to tell me nothing! Assistant should leave the room when patients are getting dressed/undressed. Dr. Pandey should also take more care for his patients by explaining what he is doing and preparing a patient for the treatment he is doing and providing comfort when someone is suffering. read more

While the urologist at this location seemed nice and knowledgeable, the office staff needs proper knowledge in how to deal with people. It explicitly says on my insurance card "do not collect payment at time of service". They insisted on billing me up front, then had the audacity to make a comment regarding "if I couldn't pay". It was never that I "couldn't pay", it was the principal of proper procedures. To insinuate someone that is following what their insurance card says by saying "if you can't pay" is beyond an insult. This leads me to believe that they care more about payment than giving care. I do not recommend anyone use them. read more

Had surgery. Doctor came in late signed a few papers told me I'd be going home with a catheter for a week. Never said anything after surgery to me or spouse who was in waiting room. Would have been nice if I was told about catheter during office visit prior to surgery. Never received a call after surgery to see how I was doing. Was a holiday weekend and ended up going to ER due to what I thought was a large amount of blood in urine. Would have been nice if someone had explained that was normal. Making follow up appointment to remove catheter, woman who was making appointment extremely rude. Came in for said appointment to find out she scheduled it at the wrong time of day for removal of catheter. They asked me to come back following morning. They ended up removing that day but making another 2 week follow up with doctor, woman who was making that appointment was again extremely rude. Still have never gotten any type of call about anything. Will never go back nor recommend. read more

This is the WORST Urology office. Please I beg people DO NOT GO HERE EVER. The front office is unprofessional and disorganized. They give you conflicting answers. My father care is not taken seriously. They let you commute to their office only to cancel your appointment because there's a delay on an order for a supply that is needed for my dad's procedure. They did not have the courtesy to call before we sat there waiting. A wasted time and trip. Since going there we only see medical assistance and the doctors hide out in the back chatting with the nurses. We are definitely looking at other places to go. Very personable and patience. This was my 1st review on my very 1st appt. Now fast forward to several appts later. My main reason for seeing this practice was BPH and Low T. 3 months later and Im still looking for answers. This office has been nothing but condescending ,non-caring, no compassion and I could go on but will not keep beating that DRUM. Dr. Jain has got to be at the forefront of my gripe and he is the most impatient doctor I have ever seen. No communication from surgery, no follow up after surgery and once again I could go on. Im not sure where all these 5 star reviews come from however, I can pretty much assume it's staff. this office also feels like its a medical television set in a closet. If yelp had a negative rating system - this would be a (-10 star rating). Stay as far away from this practice as you can. I have had multiple bad experiences with this office. The staff just simply does not care and are rude and disrespectful. From the moment I walked into the appointment, it was clear that compassion and patient care are not priorities in this practice. Dr. Stephen Marcus Larsen is the worst caring nothing about the well-being of his patients. Dr. Larsen was condescending, dismissive, and showed no genuine concern for my health. At the end of my visit he told me that when the antibiotics stop working, that would be end of things, and I would just die. Instead of listening to my concerns or explaining other options in a way that showed empathy, I was met with an arrogant attitude. It's very unsettling to encounter a urologist who lacks the basic compassion for others' lives and a need to make patients feel heard or supported. Have had repeated issues with claims being submitting improperly. I have been trying to resolve the current issue for over a month. Cannot easily get anyone on the phone to resolve the problem. When I had reached someone, they had a poor attitude and was not at all helpful. My insurance company also called and encountered the same problem. Thinking about changing physicians. This place, blew me off like I was just seeking pain medication, while in reality, I had an extremely bad UTI that could have killed me with the amount of bacteria I had. Instead of getting me into the office to see what was going on, they ignored my phone calls, and one of their receptionist was extremely rude and never forwarded any of my calls to the PAs so I ended up back in the ER. I called to cancel my appointment/upcoming surgery a week prior to my appointment and they failed to cancel it on their end and are now trying to charge me $250 for a canceled appointment. Let me start by saying I really like Dr. Caropreso so it's a shame he has joined this Group practice. The front office staff is absolutely the most unprofessional, rude staff I have ever encountered. No pleasantries but I could handle that what I couldn't handle was the young front office girl's treatment of an older gentleman that was hard of hearing. She told him he needed to provide a "specimen" prior to seeing his provider. He stood there repeating "I can't hear you, hon" no less than 5 times while she flat out ignored him, wouldn't even look up while he stood directly in front of her, he finally gave up and walked away. He was called back and his provider came up later to remind the girl working check in these specimens need to be done prior to pt coming back. She then literally yelled "HE'S A LIAR!... they heard me"and pointed to us waiting in the waiting room. I was literally appalled to see a pt treated like this. Another woman came in upset and asking to see the Office Manager, she was told they don't have one there. These two instances should have been our red flag to get up and walk out but my husband had seen Dr Caropreso when he was with another group and followed him when he left as he did like him. When you're awaiting a cancer diagnosis, it's not really a convenient time to switch providers. We went ahead with the biopsy and have been trying to get our overpayment back for 3 months since then! We have now gotten our insurance involved and reported them for balance billing which is illegal when you are in network provider. My husband has left 8 messages which have gone unreturned. He spoke to a Ms. Rocha one instance when this first started and was assured we would get our $316.59 refund within 72 hours. That was 10 weeks ago.... I had my Brother (who is special needs) in the ER a month and a half ago because he was unable to urinate. They put a catheter and bag on him and referred us to Dr. Pandey. I was skeptical from the time I scheduled his first appointment and they asked me for the address for Medicare (his insurance). Most people know there is only 1 straight Medicare and medical office systems have that in their computers, but I thought I would give them a chance. Since then, he has been back there for visits and testing and has had labs drawn. I have yet to receive ANY phone calls from them with test results, just more testing scheduled. He is in an assisted living home and is currently on his 2nd bag which started leaking, just like the first. Last time I had him in, I asked for bags and they told me I could get them on Amazon. Myself, along with the owner of the assisted living facility, requested home health to come out for catheter care and supplies and have not gotten it yet. The AL owner called and they told her that they showed us how to replace the catheter. First of all, that is a lie, plus I am not qualified to do that and don't want to hurt him. I have left a lengthy voicemail on the managers vm. DON'T GO TO THIS OFFICE. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS. read more
